Essentially Flyertalk / Re: Sleep Apnea
« on: October 06, 2015, 09:37:30 PM »
Gotta go with the people that urge the sleep study. The wife bugged me for years to do it because my apnea freaked her out. Finally did it and it was the  best choice I ever made. Found out my apnea was pretty severe (90 episodes). Started using the cpap with the nasal pillows shown earlier. I actually wake up feeling like I got a good nights sleep. That alone was worth it, plus reducing the negative health effects of apnea makes me a big proponent.

It probably wouldn't  seem that great now, but 25 years ago Candyman was awesome!

Locking trunk? In my dorm experience (non KSU), there were quite a few thefts.

Planned on the fridge and micro. As to the TV & game system, the couple times we've toured it seemed that more rooms were without than with. :dunno:

Yeah, they are definitely more light and low-brow than the "classics" people were talking about earlier in the thread. I thought I'd bring them up since lee childs and michael connelly were mentioned on page 22

For those that enjoyed the Reacher novels (Lee Child) and Harry Bosch series (Michael Connelly), try John Sandford, both the Lucas Davenport series and the Virgil Flowers books. Also liked David Baldacci Camel Club series and King and Maxwell books. Just started in on Harlan Coben. Read the Myron Bolitar books, thought they were OK.
Another light read that's pretty good is Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid Chronicles.

My wife and I went there for the honeymoon. I got asked  to buy weed constantly (including before we even got out of the airport parking lot). Somebody told us prior to going to take extra shoes (sandals, whatever), locals will trade all sorts of touristy feces for your shoes. We didn't, but observed that they were correct. We went to a Sandals, and had a good time.

Has anyone had any experience with "People to People" student trips? My  14 yr old son got a letter for France, Italy, Austria next summer. I believe it's expensive, but I'm considering it. Any input would be appreciated.

He will most likely be losing his virginity on that trip but it won't be by choice.  Make sure to instruct him on the proper usage of anal lube.

I assume you're speaking from experience?

I'm sold. Of course I can't let my wife know about these tasty lil tidbits of info. And thank god I have a son and not a daughter, cuz she would never be allowed to go.

Jevon Snead comes to mind. I know he wasn't a heisman winner, but I thought that were pretty happy with him at ole miss.

Just a guess, but as Harper develops as a more polished reciever, I could see our recieving corp being Smith and Harper as the wide outs, and Thompson as the slot. Maybe that won't happen until next year, but that would still leave a couple years with a pretty decent line up at recievers.

On the Harper thing... I thought I read somewhere that Thompson was a better route runner and was able to get a little more seperation from the db. I believe the thought was that once the ball was in Harper's hand, he was money. I think they were talking about bringing Harper in and getting him the ball in other ways (screens, etc) where route running was not so much important, and then letting him utilize his athletism.

OK, I'll go ahead and look like the dumb a** for not catching the sarcasm in the initial post and commenting... what number is the the QB wearing in the photo evidence, cuz it doesn't look like 14 to me.

Since leaving the old board, I had not signed up for the new acct here, and have been lurking as a guest. Now that my local Dillons has made the board, I have been forced to sign up and represent St John. Oh, and for the person that said it's the only thing in town, you're mistaken, we are now the proud owners of a dollar general as well. REPRESENT!! :pbj: :jerk:
