Will take focus off the historically loser football team in Lawrencetucky

The same team that has historically destroyed KSU's football team.  Another attempt at humor down the drains.

Now that attempt at humor was truly depressing.

To note: KU's DOBO, the lowest on the food chain beat KSU's HC, the highest on the food chain by 23.  OUCH

duly noted

It's just getting downright depressing at this point.

Dear oscar,

Welcome to the Bill Self owned basketball conference!  We are excited to have you as the new member of a team that gets their ass beat by KU. If you will notice, please send in the registration forms attached in your welcome packet detailing how you would like my team to kick the crap out of your team. Again, congratulations on becoming one of my new basketball bitches.

Sincerely,
Bill Self

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: KU these last 2 years
« on: April 04, 2012, 01:27:39 AM »
So these last 2 years, the red carpet was basicly rolled out for KU to make the Final 4.   Last year they could have made the title game without playing a seed lower than an 8.   This year they get 3 double digit seeds and then catch the break where a 1 seed loses a player who is top 5 in the country when it comes to his importance to the team

This year KU overachieved.  Everyone knows it.   Them going 16-2 in the league and somehow getting into the title game was a very impressive feat.      They did not play great in the tourney.   They scored 65 or under in 5 of thier 6 games and had the lead about 5-6 minutes total in the Purdue Osu and UK games.    They should never have made the national title...... but they were gutty, gritty, and found a way to play near flawless ball the final 4 minutes of games.

How frustrating is it today knowing that this year's team was so gutty, fought so hard when they were not playing well..... when last year's team was better and had a much easier final 4.....but last year's team took VCU for granite somewhat and lacked that toughness when they struggled offensively.

Im sure KU fans will end up loving this team a lot more than last year's team, and it's not because they made the title game.  But because it's fun to have that team that overachieves and a team that somehow wills its way to a victory when they really should not have won the game.  That said, if KU had not come in a little overconfident and took care of VCU..... they would have been the clear favorite in the Final 4.

At least things went almost perfectly the final 2 plus minutes back in 2008 vs Coach Cal.   My bud who is KU fan said had they lost that game, it would be almost unbearable to be a KU fan.   That's being over the top IMO, but his quote

Ok, so I'm trying not to kill myself.

His '13 class had 2 top 100 players
His '12 class had 0 top 100 players
His '11 class had 4 top 100 players

I believe the main recruiter is Jarrence Howard - I think he wanted to stay at Illinois.  Not sure if Groce kept him (Groce would be stupid not to).

This is our only hope:  that Jerrance Howard comes to KSU with Weber.  If not, there is not hope (not even a little).

Um, Howard played for self and could be replacing manning

Looks 50/50.  Contact looks like it was before he got the block but, in real time it's impossible to be sure.  Could go either way.

obviously by the pic i provided robinson is going straight up.  his hands are in now way makingcontact with presseys body BEFORE the block so the contact made by their bodies colliding is legal. the contact after the block was incidental from a natural motion of robinson's arm.  this is a no call 100/100 times with 2 seconds left in a tie game

I did not think it was a foul on Robinson.

But i did not see a foul with 8 secs left in OT against Taylor either.

T-Rob bumped Dixon a little bit with like  2 seconds to go.  No way that is a foul........... but if they called that CHEAP foul too..............  Larryville and all their faithful would have been in an uproar

Big 12 officials have been consistently bad all year.   Mizzou got the border line calls in Columbia vs KU.    Iowa St got away with clobbering McGruder in Ames.      Ku got a cheap foul called today late in OT

Yeah, that's not a foul.  Basketball is a contact sport and there was legal contact on that block.  Robinson has a right to his space of verticality.  Pressey running into him after the block does not make it illegal contact.  Learn the rules of basketball.

Space of verticality (if that's even a real term) only applies when you are vertical, not when you are running and jumping toward the player with the ball.

lol.  this is laughably bad bbiq.

I am a financial advisor and doing very well. I'm not scanning my rough ridin' paycheck, lol

What's you opinion on E*trade.

Should I use it? Bet the farm? The literal farm? It's been in my family's hands for generations.  :dunno:

The day trading sites that have emerged in the last ten years have injected a lot of volatility into the markets. When you have a bunch of people making investments in the span of days, not long term it helps spike and floor the markets. It's annoying to deal with considering they contribute to me having to talk some of my clients off sledge when the market goes down 400 lol

Sounds like some real pissant clients if they are worried about one days fluctuation. :dunno:

a very vocal minority.  I am saying the day traders drive the extreme fluctuations by selling and buying in such short term windows.
wow you must work at a really shitty firm and have really shitty clients if you think day traders have an overwhelming effect of adding volatility in the market.

If you think the largest firm and highest grossing firm in kc is shitty then you would be correct.

59-21
49-67
53-59

Addition is hard.

No we can deduce a 2-1 record in those 3 games rather easily.

Idk who UMKC's bitch is.  Is it IUPUI?  I don't follow summit league ball.

Good smack. Not too effective anymore considering I make 6 figures now. UMKC was the best thing to happen to me. Better find some different smack.

Now let's keep discussing KU's ass raping of ku. 44-3 in our last 47 games. OUCH!

I call bullshit.

Call it all you want.
