Jason Bennett

I had class with that guy and all he ever did was sleep. Loved that finger wag though.

My friend was a a freshman during Bennet's freshman year, and had the pleasure of taking the elevator with him once. He was trying to spit some game on the ride up to one of the top floors of Haymaker, and she shut him down pretty hard saying that she wasn't impressed even a little bit, then he proceeded to fold up into an accordion to get down to her level and asked her if he'd seem more impressive if he kissed her and she shoved his accordion face into the wall as she got off the elevator.

I also had some friends that he tried to spit game to and they always told me he would lead off with asking if they wanted to see his snake.

Mess up his lawn so bad that he misses a few games fixing it...

Oscar does his own lawn...

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Road Barry-al; WVU ADV

the problem isn't with our shooters, it's with our offense.  the shot selection that our offense affords our shooters is garbage.  after passing the ball back and forth at the top of the key with nothing opening up, they're forcing up low percentage shots at or near the expiration of the shot clock.  every game.  and nothing has changed.

i used to think nothing could be uglier than frank's offense but um ya.

What?!?!?!? Everyone has told me that Oscar's motion offense is a thing of beauty!  A sight to behold!  Frank's offense might have been ugly, but it was effective enough at a time where the game was allowed to be ugly.  What refs allow WVU to get away with after the NCAA tried to make a statement that the game is supposed to change is almost criminal.  That said, we looked like hot garbage last night and completely lost thanks to poor game planning when you know that is how they are going to play.

It was really obvious that we can't play at the speed that WVU sped us up to and we weren't coached well enough to play at our own speed.

Brown-Stokes are probably my favorite players on the team.

By far...have potential to be a clemente/pullen combo in a couple years...

Come on man

Sorry, I was under the assumption that a new coach would be in place to increase their play over their time at K-State...But based on the Fanalysis the numbers are there.

I think Dom is one of the worst comparisons ever.  Dom was more of a bruiser that would dunk on about anyone and played hard D.  Exact opposite of Westicles who attempts to finesse.  I guess both are not good at shooting the J?  :dunno:

I would take Dom over Wes anyday.  Late in the game last night Wes had a wide open J from 10 ft out in the middle of the paint, and instead of shooting it he threw it at DJamer's feet.  Wes has continuously regressed over his time at K-State.  In fact, I can't think of any oscar recruit that has actually improved from where they started.  I am convinced that all these new freshman are as good as they'll get under oscar.

Actually everyone has improved at least slightly from last year, but Wes was probably better as a freshman though. The problem is no one has improved enough; oscar needed at least 1 of the returners to not just get better, but play at an all league level. No one is doing that. Plus, there just aren't a lot of returners.
This is what all of Wooldridge's teams and most of oscar's teams he has put together himself have always needed - a defining offensive player that can get points on his own.  Wes will never be that guy vs a zone, especially a long one like Baylors.

Maybe Sneed is that guy because I don't think Brown has quite the size/shooting range/handle/athleticism to be it at the Big 12 level.

Disagree completely with this statement.  Dude has more size/handles and athleticism than one of our all time greats.  If he can work on his range (much like Pullen did over his career) he will be great in our conference.  Will it translate to NBA level talent...not likely, but dude should have no problem competing in the BigXII considering he already is for the most part.

I actually watched all of that game last night. Never again.

Team has been really fun to watch for about the first 35 minutes of games...All downhill for the last 5...

12
Super frustrated with Wes.  45 minutes and had 7 turnovers and only one PF.  Feel like he is trying too hard on offense and not hard enough on defense...

He has some amazingly bad unforced turnovers.

Especially as the guy on our team who should be our ol'reliable...

Welcome aboard Piratesmile.  I too dropped my GPC recently...same handle...How this thread went full GPC-eo from the start is proof how great this place is.  As far as I was concerned, that place should have been for having lively/fun sports discussions and not the classifieds...Now get off my lawn  :shakesfist:

My info was Leavitt as DC, did not happen, his dad died, not sure that impacted it. Hayes is out recruiting so looks like no news

Confirmed The Flush = Next Jpullz

The thought of landing both BV and Joey Freshwater today has me all  :excited:...Pretty cool having all this money like we do.

I watched about 10 minutes. Tech had 100 offensive rebounds in that stretch. Was worst I've ever seen.

Gonna win 'em all! (using Tapatalk)
Rebounding has been marginal to bad all season. They did improve as the game went in but I agree it was bad.

Rebounding intensity improved a ton in the second half.  We also played a good portion of that with a smaller lineup due to Wes' foul trouble.  As long as this team starts making shots at a higher clip (doesn't have to be as great as last night was) I feel like they will be alright down the stretch.  I am so excited for the future of Deathbite and The Flush...  :excited:

No more tempering my expectations for Brown...if he stays 4 years he's breaking Pullen's scoring record.  :emawkid:

i love it when fans use the word "horrified" on a sports message board

truth be told, we should all be hoping that tom hayes sticks around for another go 'round.  i feel like we're on the edge of turning our defensive woes around and his experience is invaluable

BV got sliced and diced last night.  :frown:

Thats what happens when a person day dreams about a future Manhattan mansion.

Pretty sure the story was that we got sliced and diced back when he was 1 foot out the door on us...Which can only mean one thing!   :lynchmob: :ksu: :emawkid:

Long time reader, first time poster.  Love this blog... Just wanted to say that I am loving what The Flush brings to the table.  Trying to temper my expectations of him moving forward.
what are your thoughts on why xWhomper does not get more minutes?  did he sex marty vanier?  do you think he looks like nino williams?

I would assume that there just isn't enough minutes to get him run in the eyes of the coaches and at this point in the season I think you save the redshirt...And with a name like xWhomper, I am sure that he is sexing everyone around Manhattan.  I heard that even Ron Prince's mistresses were getting whomped.

I see the resemblance...but unlike Nino, I don't think xWhomper smiles...

Are the AC's all coming back too then?  :goodbyecruelworld:
Probably.  Bill doesn't fire anyone.  :frown:

Excited to see the improvement of our defense under supercoach Hayes...
