For those of you going, please be sure to speak very slow and loud to any Alabama University Pachyderm fans. I saw a very real and not fake statistic that 99.9459598% of their fans are not graduates of high school let alone THE Alabama University. This may be the first time they have seen an indoor toilet or running water for that matter. Just be kind and give them your spent crawfish heads on your way back to the Ritz or the Royal Sonesta.

Has anyone been to a game in the Superdome? I bet it's amaze IRL

Went in 2020 when LSU beat Clemson in the Natty. It is pretty rough-ridin awesome. Very loud. If they have the tailgate town thing it was fun to go to. Lots of stuff to do with kiddos too. But the stadium is old-ish.

I saw a couple Cernhocks at Aldi on Satuday morning begging for a cart quarter. Guy had on a Crouch jersey and a '22 KU Natty Punkin' Pushin' hat on. I honestly think they're still riding the high off the Natty.

Don't know if this has been posted but a Former SB Prez told me Carti hurt his hand by racing a teammate to a car after a game. Was trying to ride shotgun and teammate smashed Carti's hand in the door.

it's one thing to have an icey cold brutus at applebee's on friday night with dinner and it's completely another thing that some of you guys are so addicted to beer that you can't go to a cats game without sneaking in ice cold beers or have a good time with a shot of tequila .  i guess one way to get by the metal detector is to pour your ice cold beers into a frosty cold glass mug and then sneak them into cats stadium?  the old lou used to have great frosty mugs of brews, makes me want one now   :excited:

Now the lou just smells like piss. At least that what it was like when I stumbled in there last year.

BYU Cotton Bowl was like a record high or something.  The Tennessee Cotton Bowl was the freezing cold one.

Oh yes, I knew something wasn't right about that. We were at the Tennessee CB as well. Me being 5 in 1997 and it being 20 years ago, thing get jumbled! Edited post

Notre Dame is having to vacate all wins from the 2012 and 2013 seasons which means they should have never been in the title game against Bama and it should have been us...

Link?

I was born 3 months before the Indiana State win, his #7. My mom and pop got season tickets that year and we have held the same seats since then. 1997 is when I really started remembering the games. I can probably count on my fingers and toes the games that I have missed. Most memorable game when I was a youngster was probably the Cotton Bowl in Dallas vs BYU where we crap the bed in the endzone and Kavanagh threw a pick a few plays later.

Any tips on the parking scenario in Waco or around the stadium? Roomie and I are planning on leaving around 6:30-7:00 to get there plenty early and miss traffic.

Can we booze there? Tailgating?

I went to Wacko back in 2014. Parked for like 15 bucks and walked 10 minutes to the stadium over a bridge that goes over their lagoon or open sewer line. There werent many tailgates where we parked but we did slam some beers with some Bible Aggies. They were cool. We then proceeded to the stadium where some Biblers prayed (preyed on?) for us. Kinda weird.

Maybe a series of life-size statues placed all around Manhattan with various poses?

Oooooohhh, kind of like the Cow Parade in Kansas City http://kansascity.cowparade.com/

Now that we are nearly a lock to get LHCBS his 200th win this season, it's time to start thinking about how best to thank Future Legendary Athletic Director John Currie for bringing Brent home.

Obviously we MUST make Currie the highest paid AD in the Big 12 if he brings Brent home, AND extend his contract (with no buyout penalty for him) for the next 20 years.

However, not so obvious is my idea for. Statue of Currie to preserve his legacy as the man who re-saved Kansas State.

I am picturing a statue similar to the famed colossus of Rhodes, which would straddle LHC LHC Bill Snyder highway, wth on food on the "KS" hill and the other just across the highway.

Which way do you have him face though? To the inbound Manhattanites or to the outbound Manhattanites? Or do you just have a giant statue that is the exact same on both sides, all seeing eye-esque?

Man in Black is a newcomer/human trying to find out what the creator (Hopkins) is up to. At the end that gives a look ahead at the season the Man in Black says "there is a deeper game here, something that the person that created it wanted to express, something true, and that game cuts deep." How the MIB is getting there without the creators or the people who run the hosts knowing is a question I can't answer right now.

This weekend made me realize how much time and effort I waste around sports. Really made me take a long look in the mirror. I think i'm going to spend more time working out, fishing, hiking, etc. Instead of tailgaiting, boozing, blogging, etc. Go cats tho!

My tapout moment was the TCU game last year, when it was 4th and 1 and we should have gone for it and we lined up to punt, but then we called a timeout, and then decided we didn't have a play and punted anyway (maybe it was a FG, I dunno).  That was it.  If you can't even try to lineup and get one rough ridin' yard I'm out.  My life has not missed KSU sports one bit.  I expect yours will improve, too.

are you thinking of when we drove to their 25 and wussed out on 4th and kicked a fg to tie it at 45-45 only for boykin to immediately throw a long td and like everyone in the stadium knew a fg was the wrong choice?

Yes.  My thought process (in addition to what you mentioned) was that the coaches expect the same kids they don't think can get 1 yard to win this game in OT.  It's an asinine position to put your kids in.  To break it down further:

To win the coaches way, three things would have had to happen:  1) make FG, 2) hold TCU to no more scoring in regulation, 3) win in OT.  I put the odds at .90 x 0.6 x 0.4 = 21.6% chance of winning, and I was generous with the odds.  This was supposedly higher than the combination of odds of 1) not getting one yard, not turning it over, or missing the field goal (which is moot because they elected to kick it anyway).

That is where I started to lose hope as well :)

Is Skylar racist towards Skylar with that coded "Playbook knowledge" dig?  Disgusting.
Talked to some people at Fort Osage this weekend. They said Skylar Thompson thinks he (referring to himself) is by far the best QB that K-State has. Said that if he knew the playbook better he would be the starter.
I hope he is better than what we saw this week.  But it won't matter who they put in there if we keep calling plays like that.  And how much of the playbook do you need to know if you only run 4 different plays?  I am tired of hearing about how big the playbook is.  Maybe shorten the damn playbook and play the players that are the best and not the ones that can memorize 1000 different plays even though we only run a few.

Part of me thinks the whole "not knowing the playbook" thing is what they train him to say. The coaches also make these kids believe they don't know the playbook.

Part of me wants to pull his redshirt, but part of me thinks it would be a huge waste if there's a chance he can get a full 4 years under a better coaching staff.

If he only knows 25% of the playbook and we were to pull his redshirt, I don't think he would do any worse than Jeffy Ertz did on Saturday. My dead grandma can audible into a -1 yard qb draw.
