The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: Another school shooting
« on: October 02, 2015, 11:18:39 PM »
I haven't read this whole thread so sorry if it's been posted, but why can't we do this?

http://www.loc.gov/law/help/firearms-control/australia.php

Hunters keep guns, people that shouldn't have guns, don't have guns.  Owning a gun for self defense, well that doesn't work, because it's not an option!

If nothing else look at the suicide rate by guns!  Down to 12%!  Down 65% overall!  This is just one win they have going, not to mention the win of 0 mass shootings since putting this into action!  The stimulated economy from a government buy back, seems like something that needs to get some solid backing from some people, maybe get us in the right direction...

So how much does it cost to insure all that extra stuff?  Do you insure it?  Does the insurance company have a list of prepper insured houses they will go after if the shtf?  Just a few thoughts...

I became a stall only in public guy a few months ago.  I was somewhere and there was a line for the urinals, got my turn, guy next to me pats me on the shoulder and says hey how's it going?  Ever since then it just can't/won't happen at a urinal...

he was probably gay!  :ohno:

Ah!!!  Now I've been infected!  It all makes sense once you're touched with your wang out it starts!  How did I let this happen!  It's been a few months, is it a slow moving infection, he didn't touch skin am I safe!?!  Does them being able to marry lift the vaccinations against it!  So many questions I are popping into my head!  What do I tell my wife, can she get it from a guy?  Or is it only transferable from the same sex?  This is bad really bad!  I mean I don't care if someone's gay but we figured out how it spreads and I'm the guinea pig...

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Malek gone...

So Malek is still in town.  I was just sitting next to him in a Dr office.  He's in a shoulder sling.  Two thoughts here.  One did Weber say you hurt little pussy get out?  And if he was such a bad kid to the program why is he still decked out in EMAW?!?

Here's how the visit from oscar should go.

oscar - "Hey _____ _______ so no one else has recruited you..."
Kid - "Um..."
oscar - "So come to K-State, if you suck you can transfer, no hard feelings I'll say some good things about you.  Even if you don't suck you can transfer when things start going bad..."
Kid - "If I'm good and score lots of points, lead the team moral, and do everything I can to help us win?"
oscar - "Oh eff that you'd be kicked off the team, then you can transfer to whatever school you want to..."
Kid - "Sounds like a win win to me..."
oscar - "Sign here"

I planted two packs of Kale, WAY WAY to much, I planned on thinning it out, and ended up having to.  I left what I didn't have space for though and it's actually flourishing pretty good.  I'm planning on picking it when it gets big enough for salads, in about a week or so.  Then letting the stuff I thinned out grow to the larger size.

What type of beans did you plant?  I had some green beans I was going to put into a pot, but if it's going to do the same, I may find another location...

10
So I've got a nice little 4x4 compost area.  I've been filling with table fruits and veggies, grass clippings and leaves, everything that's supposed to be in there.  I've been kinda turning it, but really need to mix it up good, it wasn't steaming like its supposed to.  I just went out and dug down to the middle and it was a steamy hot mess!  Nice and earthy looking!  Never thought I would get so pumped to see a giant pile of compost steam!

11
How mUgh are camps?  I'm debating sending my kid, paying him $100 to just ask oscar if these are walk on try outs since all the good players quit?

12
I hadn't thought about just thinning the strong.  I just got done taking care of the leaves around the house.  I can easily put a bed on the south side and put them in there, problem with thinning where they are is that there isn't much space.  I just started them there thinking the raised beds warmer, I think I read that somewhere...

13
So I had this brilliant idea to plant some Kale in a raised bed that was at the house I just bought last November.  I planted two packs, we eat the crap out of Kale chips!  Now I'm reading it needs to be 18 inches apart.  I have 200 little plants coming up, this will take up my enitre garden!  I've already got beets, radishes, carrots, lettuce, and sugar peas in the garden.  I planed for a row of Kale, not a whole garden of it!  Am I just screwed any ideas?.?

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: next season
« on: March 24, 2015, 09:26:17 PM »
We are going to be historically bad!  Like no conference wins for the next two years bad!  Look at what we have coming back!  DJs foot has had 9 surgeries, he's likely gone, Boldens arm looked like it was made of jello, unlikely to be back.  Without this we were effed to suck age, but now we might as well just go UAB football in the program, then start over and reignite it in a few years.  Would be less painful...

Would take, even if it's only for a short time to get us back on track, and leave someone behind for us to have for longer!  Lots of press D, and the ability to coach all aspects of the game!

Kansas State Football / Re: 4-Star Recruits: Why can't we keep them?
« on: January 08, 2015, 07:59:09 AM »
We take chances on a lot of 4 stars that may not qualify elsewhere...  This means that they usually don't put the effort in the class room, which translates to not putting in the effort on the field.  A 5* 1 heart player will never see the field for us.

17
Grant Hedrick, from Boise State, to small for the nfl, but our up the kind of numbers we'd need with what we have returning.  We need someone like this that can step in and lead for a year, or back up Hubes either way...

Kansas State Football / Re: Football Recruiting Thread

Really want Westbrook.  Would feel a lot better about our WR situation next yr if we did.
I wonder who is higher on our list Westbrook or Davis?

Both those dudes would be our highest recruits in a long time. This class is shaping up to be the best yet if we land a few more key pieces.
We need DEs and WRs.
Willis and Lee are two pretty damn good DE and young too...

Lee's only a "DE" to blitz in obvious passing situations. We need one or two more every-down DE. The lack of depth there is concerning.

This. As I've said before, we need juco DE's badly.

Also, whatever happened to Tanner Wood?
Wood is playing on special teams, and with the twos.  He's just a rsfr could make an impact in the next year or so, would feel better with a judo de.

Greg Robinson LT
Tre Mason RB
Dee Ford DE

Tre Mason went in the 3rd...

Kansas State Football / Re: Charles Jones. Stud running back.
« on: September 08, 2014, 02:29:09 PM »
JFC.  Jones' goodness is being inflated by the relative suckiness around him.  Some girls are good looking because their friends are ugly.  Jones is an avg big 12 back - he lacks any sort of real speed, imo.
Just me, but I want to see him get in an actual foot race before saying he doesn't have real speed.  Break away from the line and out run someone, I haven't seen him get the chance to show that yet, on a return or out of the backfield.

Also, "The Throw" versus Auburn will be epic...

Wow!  Never would of thought of nip guards!

The other tips are great, I'll feel even better about myself when I pass people instead of getting left with the slow kids!

I'm running my first 5k next weekend, I've been training in the gym on a treadmill so the whole outside other people thing has me a little freaked out...  Any tips on zoning everything out?

Try to run outside before the race. It's a little different than the treadmill.

The week before I plan on outside, I was running outside, then it got so hot out that it wasn't possible!  I went out one night at ten and it was still like 97 so I decided I either needed to join a gym, or give it up.

For as vanilla as it was I wouldn't look to much into anything.  These games have always been about getting them used to buying into the system and seeing that it works.  For all we know it was a great scheme, "Mueller, don't dominate them, let the rest of the d-line get used to getting off blocks", linebackers, stay in the same D, no blitzing, checking keep it vanilla until you can do the basics etc etc...  Just what I saw, keeping it simple, not exposing anything (not that we really change much up anyway), but getting ourselves better so not to make mistakes in a few weeks.
