You guys are in Kansas.  Please remember that.  Kansas is pretty much the same as ND only not as cold and with more meth heads and religious wackos.

I'd guess that close to half the posters here are NOT in Kansas, so your ignorant comment holds no real weight.  You see, that's what's great about having a large Big XII caliber university...  As graduates, we are able to take great jobs in economic hot beds around the country and travel freely to sporting events that involve our numerous top 20 caliber teams in a variety of sports.

Meanwhile, bisonville has a thread about how most everybody lives in Fargo still and can't afford airfare to MHK for the buffies superbowl.

I live in Oregon.  There are many alum here in the Pacific Northwest.  I go back to Fargo for home games usually once a year (probably taking in 2 games and the week between this fall.), plus playoffs and the NC game if we can make it again.

From here, not much distinguishes KS from ND.  People know KS primarily because of the folks protesting at funerals (great job with that, by the way) and the meth belt that includes much of KS.  The most famous sports team that people know of is Kansas basketball.  They only know your football team as the folks that folded like an old used lawn chair to the Ducks in the Fiesta Bowl.  While your program is good these days, most fans not from the midwest still don't know it.  Oregon fans call KSU football the Big 12 JV team.

NDSU would rule the MAC  (in 2007 NDSU beat the MAC Champion 44-10)  that's why they wont invite us.

NDSU would be top 3 in MWC every year  (beat Colorado state, lost by 1 to Wyoming with our 3-8 team) that's why they wont invite us.
NDSU would be middle of the road team in Big 10/Big 12

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the fact you play your games in the equivalent of a high school gymnasium.

Or that they're in a state that doesn't have TV sets

You do realize that you're in Kansas, right?

You are NOT our super bowl . Sorry.  2 national titles are.

Too late buddy. Seen way too many "OUR BIGGEST GAME EVER" posts by your compadres

Just curious where that was written.  I didn't see it.  Not saying it wasn't written but didn't see it plastered all over the place as you insinuate.

I think most of our fans are certainly excited to watch the game but would not consider it bigger than our 2 titles in 2 years.  You aren't THAT big of a deal, you know.

Says the fan of the opposition 48 days in advance of the game posting on a Saturday night.  No life or "super bowl" for NDSU......pick one.

I'm sure that you wouldn't consider this YOUR superbowl, however you felt the need to respond even later on a Saturday night.  At least Lakes was just getting a last shot in prior to heading out for the night.  You were still there at your computer to chastise him.

In all seriousness, I actually like your program and what you have going on.  It'll probably sustain itself.  I just find it ironic that people from Kansas can make such fun of people from another state when Kansas itself is such a laughing stock for most of the rest of the US.

As for the tallest midget comment, we're fine with it...mostly.  We are extremely competitive and have a lot to play for.

The power towel is something that you bring to every game.

That is precious.  It must be difficult to have to manufacture some sort of tradition out of a century of losing.  Your 15 minutes are winding down.

...tick, tick, tick...
By 15 minutes you mean two decades.

486–615–41  = powerhouse?  The only other current team that I can think of at the moment that has come out of a century of mediocrity to become a major player in college football is Oregon and they completely dismantled your boys in your last game.  Thank goodness for the spring game so that at least half your players can feel what victory is like during the off season.  I think that given your team's history, both long and very recent, the fans would exhibit a bit more humility.

Yeah, my favorite line from that game after 12 seconds of regulation play - "Well, Kansas State just found out what SPEED really means."

Good on you, Cats.  Titletown, indeed.

Believe it or not, your guys will probably not get hit as hard the whole rest of the season as they will on Aug. 30th.  The Bison play boring, boring offense as well.  They just play it flawlessly.  We believe in LSD.  Long.  Sustained.  Drives.  We believe in our physical defense.  We do not believe in gimmicks and certainly not the power towel.  (WTF is that, btw?  Yikes!!)

For what it is worth, you will likely not see the whole playbook.  We usually save all the good stuff for the playoffs.  Maybe not, though.  KU, Minn, and CSU certainly got the vanilla brand of Bison ball.  Maybe Bohl/Vigen will bring it out for you guys...I don't know.  Regardless, you'll see a running game that'll have you on your heals in the second half because your boys are tired.  They'll be going right up the middle, you can bank on that.  We'll also run our QB and you won't stop him until he's run 16 yards/play.  Our secondary will stop your receivers.  Our Dline will punish your QB and running backs and the LB corps will be feasting all day.

You will certainly have us beat in total team depth and number of stars.  Our guys just might beat you with our execution, hustle and physical style.  Laugh all you want.  I give our guys more than a good chance of spoiling your cute little fireworks show.

I'm surprised that KSU fans are so cocky after such a beating to finish last season.  Just goes to show you that the Big 12 is not much more than the typical FCS conference that you seemed to feel superior to.

I find it pretty funny that anyone from Kansas would feel superior to people from any place in the world.  The only real difference is that North Dakota has oil, lots of money and is pretty cold.  Kansas is known for meth, religious zealots and, well, usually embarrassing themselves on the football field.

It must be difficult to know that it is your rival in-state institution, KU, that anyone gives any credit for being consistent in a sport.  KSU football is just seen by everyone as having its 15 minutes.  You'll be invisible again soon.
