I'm seeing that Bale to Madrid for Coentrao + 93m is a done deal....... (I won't believe it till I see it - have yet to see a reputable source)

Sorry, spurs cats.

Also saw that Spurs are after Erik Lamela. He'd be a fine replacement of Bale. Add in Coentrao, Soldado, Willian... You may have yourself a title-contending team. Probably just Champions League, but still. I think the team will be much better if this deal goes through, and you get all those players too.

anyone waking up for liverpool-stoke on saturday at like 6?  :surprised:

Old ball and chain planned a camping trip.  Opening weekend of EPL :flush:  Thanks a lot Bin Laden.

Like others, I'm over the Bale Saga.  Would love for him to stay one more year but would understand accepting a world record bid.  Below is why i think he will stay.

1. Daniel Levy is a mean mother when it comes to transfers.  He does not budge on his price.  When they meet his price he adds another 10 mil.  Also I'm sure he is irate at the way Madrid have handled the situation.

2. HP didn't pay big bucks to be the jersey sponsor of a Baleless team.

3. He is the poster child of the EPL right now and just signed a deal with BT sports.

4. Fifa cover and the NY billboard.

I still don't see why you guys sold Caulker.

seemed more business than soccer to me :curse:

That's how I feel.  Think they received an offer they couldn't refuse.

did parker to qpr end up getting finalized?  haven't been able to follow for the last day or so

we could sell/loan half our midfield and i wouldn't GAF, i want relief in the back... very nervous about it.

Parker will be shipped within the next couple days.  Looks like Fulham could come in last minute, but looks like QPR is the destination.  The midfield is stacked.  Was very surprised to see Caulker go.  They have to have something lined up with a CB.

Spurs fans, what's the word on Huddlestone and Livermore? Sounds like HC is making a big push to get transferred Huddlestone and get loaned Livermore.
looking like livermore loan is probable

as for huddlestone, i think the hull transfer is all but final. also, parker looks to be off to either qpr or fulham.

i believe we're trimming the fat in the midfield because it looks like we're about to make a bid for christian eriksen.

This is correct.  Livermore needs PT which he won't get this year.  Parker and Huddlestone are just not good enough.

welp checked my phone tonight and saw that United are linked to Modric now and are also getting ready to put together a "monster bid" for Bale

 :surprised:

Hazard hurt 9 v 10 for 5 min of stoppage   :ohno:

Edit: FT 2-1 to the Chels and puts Chelsea into the Champions league next year! Sorry for blowing up the thread with all the posts.

Congrats Scott.  Now time for Arsenal to slip up and for Bale to score in the 89th tomorrow.

I have the same amount of trophies as David Moyes unless you count the trophy I won in 7th grade home room during a card games tournament, then I would actually have one more than him.

Didn't you have to give that back years later when they found you received improper benefits?

Hey spurs fans and anyone who likes to laugh and soccer have you ever came across these videos? I am not going to lie I've watched all of them.

Just got off the phone with the boys on SW6 they said they are getting the 3 points and then started singing stand up if you hate tottenham. Sorry Hotspur bros.  :frown:

that's, like, your opinion, man.

j/k, our form has been terrible lately.  i'm not really looking forward to this. :frown:  talk me up broXcore/JHT/etc!

Not feeling good about this one.  Hope for a Bale wonder goal.  With our creativity in the midfield we'll need it.

Never too soon to talk summer transfers.  What's everyone's (reasonable) expectations this summer?
For United: Falcao, Ronaldo, Lewandowski, etc.

The (reasonable) must have been overlooked.  Is this a pick one?
Oh, Bale too. I want those four reasonably.

Ha!  :shakesfist:

Really excited about seeing what NBC Sports can do with their new EPL contract.

As big as soccer has become in the U.S., they really can't afford to mess this up.  It looks like they are putting ample resources into making it great.

What makes you say that? There is some info in this thread you may want to go back and read.

Just from reading this update a few weeks back.

What don't you like about it? I'd say it's definitely a step up from what we have right now with Fox Soccer. :dunno:

I think you misread my original statement.
