Is there a more prestigious annual tradition than the Brookside Art Annual?

Sounds like Waldo Thai got sold/new management is coming
People love Waldo Thai but I've always thought it was good/not great and ultra expensive/hard to get into.

I'm a Thai House boi.

I disagree with you on Waldo Thai but I will be trying Thai House now at some point.  I've always gotten a reservation pretty easily, had great servers who will explain whatever, and loved the food.  I've even enjoyed things that I would never order myself but tasted from someone else, which is always good sign for me.
Yeah I like Waldo Thai and think the service has been good and the food has been good.  I'm jsut not really enamored with it.  Probably too fancy for my basic bitch thai pallet.

Knocked out one of the latest episodes of Black Mirror. We just did the shortest one since that's all we had time for tonight.

I thought it was weird that season 6 had a couple non-futuristic/technology based episodes. Isn't that the whole point of the show? But it sounds like season 7 is back on track. I can confirm at least 1 of the 5 is futuristic/technology based!

Epi 1 was infuriating.

It's haunted me. It's the perfect Black Mirror episode. Meaning, it's something that could be a very real situation in the not too distant future, and it's dark af.

Also, when did we get rid of the spoiler font?

It was peak Black Mirror.  I just don’t have the same capacity for some of that like I used to.
Yeah.  Watched it with Mrs. Dlew and we were both like.  OK.  Well that was unenjoyable.

Anyone who refers to it as X is the biggest loser I've seen since the last time someone called it X in front of me.
I just refer to it as "The Everything App."

At first glance this looked like an apple cut in half, and I was pretty confused.

Thought THE PITT jumped the shark about midway through the season.  Like, there are 12 characters are on the show and most of them had life altering moments during this 12 hour shift.  It’s like you’re in a real ER!

I thought the messaging was a little heavy handed too.

“Well violence against medical staff is on the rise throughout the country.”  OK.  Thought the actors might as well have just looked directly at the camera for the little fun-facts that lace the dialogue.

Alternatively, you could just watch Dark Knight Rises.

Tale of Two Cities is my all time favorite.  Wanted to name my first child Sydney for a long time until Mrs. Dlew demanded a say.

Making my way through some Shakespeare.  So far this year I've read King Lear and Othello.  Now I'm on Merchant of Venice.

Going to get back to Steinbeck after I'm done with MoV.  East of Eden time.

Ok. Guys.

Bringing Ms TBT back for the first time in 2 weeks. I want to do dinner on the plaza one night. Her favorite food is Italian. Where should we go?

has anyone recommended Farina in the crossroads? it is fancy modern italian by the Michael Smith guy.

I enjoy it. PITA to get into.
It's baller.  You can walk in and sit at the bar fairly easily.

Great season of Love on the Spectrum.

what day?
The 26th and I guess it doesn’t need to be on the plaza. Just a really good Italian place is what I’m looking for.
bacaro primo. the best reservation for that night is 8:45 but they accept walk ins. it’s 5 minutes south of the plaza.
Good food, though not really mindblowing, imo.  Hard to have really mindblowing pasta in my view. But the ambiance is second to none.  My favorite italian place in KC.

Love KC Bier, but I understand that you may not like it if you're a serious beer drinker who is focused on a serious craft beer environment.

Episode 3 was by far my favorite.

Adolescence was very good.  Technically incredible.

Bella Napoli patio is a great date spot.  Good food. Quaint.  Feels like you get transported back to the old country.

Cars going 55 MPH on Brookside Blvd really complete the picture.
Insane thing to say

I'm through 3 episodes of season 2 of Severance and I think I'm out. I understand it's a good show, I just don't have the patience to wait out all the seeds that have been planted to see what the answers are. Maybe if everyone loves the finale I'll binge it, but it's setting up for either a huge pay off or a huge let down.

But you're stopping right before the ORTBO.
Yeah you can't really stop before the ORTBO
