daughter's team lost their middle school league championship yesterday on a 3 pointer with only a few seconds left (they had a 2 point lead).  from thinking they had won it (against an undefeated team that had previously beaten them) to that crushing realization they lost, there was a lot of tears, and i think it's harder/more nerve wrecking on the parents.

Pretty sure I have FB friends who had their girls in that game because boy did my feed have videos of a girls bball game ending on a 3

it was a great game to be honest.

That sucks, but there's nothing better than sports and moments like that to teach lessons. I can imagine how intense the emotions were though.

Middle school daughter had team banquet last night and she won most improved player, which was awesome because she really did work hard. Her team had 3-4 kids I'd consider basketball players and the other kids were like her, strong athletic kids that play basketball, if that makes sense. Her coach cried giving out awards which was very sweet and fun.

Yeah that makes sense.  Fun times, that even tho are nerve wrecking, i try to really enjoy them all as they are going by way too fast.

my grandpa once stuck me in the head with the prong of a cattle ear tagger (on accident obvs).  head bled like crazy.  this of course happened at the kitchen dinner table.  why was the tagger anywhere close to the dinner table, let alone in the house?  never got that answer.

we would dehorn with a manual iron thing that you set around the horn and then pulled the levers apart with your hands and it cut the horns off.  you knew once you did that the steers would jump and bawl in the shoot.  blood would squirt out and then you cauterized the area.  between that and the branding, don't miss those smells.

what are you paying for?  i've never been over there so honestly don't know.

if they have cause to fire him, why wouldn't they just do that?  there's no way taking a pay cut is going to work.

Slaps is $26/lb, q39 is $28, jack stack $26, joe's $22, etc.

not saying it's not better than those places, probably is (haven't been there yet).  price seems insane.

Klanderman is calling offensive plays?  :horrorsurprise:

i think a shakeup on the coaching staff is definitely needed if we don't make the tourney again, not tang, but an assistant for sure

i'll be honest, i hadn't seen coleman play before this year outside a highlight here or there.  is his game always to sit outside and shoot threes, because he sucks at that particular skill.

Coleman is least likable Cat since???

khiry should be out after next season, don't know how he would get resigned unless he's just super solid at RB and it's a club friendly deal.  people were talking Benny could be in line for a bigger position, someone threw out the Philly job, not sure if any truth or not.

welp, guess voloder stays and fontas/castellanos goes.  will miss Russell and Tim.  kinda of surprised we didn't bring back Remi.  pulido is still owed 7.2M, so bad

Every November and December Man City gives everyone hope they can win the league. Then in January they just destroy everyone for the remainder of the season.

Yeah, the only potential difference this time is Rodri is out the whole time. Kovacic is very slow and doesn't provide much protection and neither does Nunes. They have real problems.

They'll just go find someone in January if they need to.  4 points separating 3rd and 13th place!  :excited:
