Another crystal ball in our favor tonight for English. Clearly must have spotted the pic of him in the EMAW jacket.

Bentonville stud QB Kasey Ford just verbally committed to KSU to play baseball.

Any idea about his baseball/football future plans? Would be a really good start to the 16 class.

Ford has lived in Arkansas since kindergarten, but his family still has strong ties to the state of Kansas and Kansas State University.

"My brother's always been a fan of Kansas State and he's always wanted me to go to Kansas State," Ford said. "I felt it's in my blood that I had to be a fan, too. It wasn't hard, though, because I grew up going to games and had K-State stuff all around the house."

On to 2015:

Any insight on this guy? Big bro seems total EMAW. I've always thought he'd be a beast on the field, but baby brother might be the next best thing.

Tough choice: K-State vs. Yale, THAT'S earning potential. Obviously, the kid is a smart one.

Wonder what rivals considers a scholly offer from ivy leagues?

Ivy League schools don't give out athletic scholarships

Correct, which is where my question came from regarding rivals listing ivy league offers. I guess just an offer to join them on your dime, preferred walk-on like.

Maybe Brucey learned a little something recruiting Chicago. He's locked up a transfer who can't be contacted yet. :dunno:

"Black, who graduates from Memphis this spring, plans to get his release from the Tigers this week and will be eligible to play immediately at his next school as a grad student. Per conditions of the release, he won't be permitted to transfer to a school that is on the Tigers' schedule next season.
Black said he hasn't reached out yet to any other schools, noting that it would be an NCAA violation if he did so before acquiring his release. He said at this point he doesn't have a list of schools he's considering."

Word is that Kansas will be in soon as well @KUTheShiver RT @TheDevilsDen: Duke visiting Tarik Black tonight for a visit.
Do not want Tarik Black, he is not that good and we don't need a patch job.

DJamer, gip, fincher. What am I missing? We could use 2 or 3 patch jobs. Though its a moot point based on the Duke/UK info.

Profile is a wing that can score in bunches, that our staff believe is an NBA talent. :dunno:

Trey Zeigler may fit that profile, though it's only been proven at CM w/ a flop at Pitt last year.

Noticed that GPC has Green listed as a safety.  Wasn't he previously an OLB?  We could certainly use another safety...

He committed as a Safety out of high school, but I haven't watched enough of his IWCC film to see if he fits there at the D1 level.

I just ran through a quick 2-deep. Talk about exciting, there aren't many "needs" left. Without digging into grays & exactly what we have left to give, here's my remaining wish list combing position of need/recruit quality/interest level.

DT   Delva - Zimmerman
DE   Hardison - Boyd - Meant
CB   Jones - Willis
S      Harding(Had my eye on Trevor Walker for a long time)
OLB   Blanchard - Mack
WR   Stewart(qualify?)
OL   Lacy - Hannon

#KState will get its final chance to make an impression on Wednesday before Jake Waters’ Thursday decision. http://es.pn/VOadQC
 :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Jake Waters' parents ushered Bill O'Brien inside their home on a frigid Monday, escorting him to the dining-room table where a spread of crackers, brownies and water awaited.

The juco quarterback's starstruck younger brother asked the coach for an autograph, and Waters' parents were eager to pepper the Penn Stater with questions: Could the Iowa Western quarterback start there? What were the academics like? Would he fit in OK since PSU doesn't usually take junior college players?

Waters said he's known "for a few weeks" now whom he's leaning toward. He declined to disclose that favorite -- he said he'll announce his decision Thursday -- but he said this in-home visit and Wednesday's upcoming visit with Kansas State's coaches were more for his parents' benefit.

I've seen nothing in his tweets that lead me to believe Combs is (truly) favoring KU.

Delva is down to two, but I don't know who the second one is (since it's behind the Rivals pay wall). Don't have access to the story but I'd be shocked if it's not Oregon State.

Nash has us in his final group.  He still has a visit to OSU, I think.  It's KSU/OSU. We'll probably know shortly after his visit next weekend.

Marshall was pretty much down to KSU, Tech, and Indiana.  Well, I think our chances look better by the day.

And Waters is down to KSU and Penn State.  With late interest from Texas and Alabama.

So, we complain about not going after kids with offers, and when we do, we flip out when they trim their lists and leave us as finalists?

God, this board is just astounding sometimes.

"One of the top junior college quarterbacks in the country is ready to make a decision.

Jake Waters (Council Bluffs, Iowa/Iowa Western C.C.) took his final official visit this past weekend, which went to Kansas State. Now, he will decide between the Big 12 and the Big Ten.

“It’s pretty much K-State and Penn State right now,” the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Waters said."

Neither offered, but Texas & Bama are out of the equation as of today.
