Hand on hip confirmed.   What's the giant FUPA buldge?

Left hand on hip.  Right hand to his side holding a folder or clipboard (that's what's causing FUPA). Bronzed.  It's 2000ish Bill....not 2013 Bill.  A little heavier and younger looking.  Jacket on but not tucked into his pants (thank god).  Also, has headset on.  Overall, looks good.  Everyone should be happy with it.

hey fuckheads, i know how frank and oscar's defense differs, I'm merely laughing at oscar's insinuation that his defense is more/better "team" or "help" than defense than Frank's.  If you think that Frank's defense wasn't about help or team defense, you're rough ridin' crazy.  It makes me think that oscar didn't really understand it.

Exactly right.

I'm guessing he ordered the Pepe.  If not the Pepe, probably the Club Lulu or Totally Tuna.  But...still guessing it was the Pepe.

Has oscar had Deron Williams call Angel yet?  If not, he should.

Official LSOC position:  We don't want a coach dumb enough to leave KSU for South Carolina.

I would let Forrest Gump coach this team if he took them to the tournament every year.
.  Ha. Exactly

Its amazing how many teams have had one of their worst offensive games against us. So much so that we've lucked into the 2nd best defense in the league.

I like the slightly angry, very sarcastic _FAN.  I vote we see that more often.

Guess all the tall people are from the city, I didn't play but we had at least 3 people over 6'6" just from my grade.

So did we, and we were 2A.  I was the smallest on the varsity roster at 5'11.  Wish we could have played some of your guys' midget teams.

Name change to mediumwillie20?

I've always thought of myself as short  :dunno:

Then you're not really 5'11".   :dunno:

I imagine most Division 1 basketball players would be.

I imagine mose D1 players would be a bit more than just "solid."  More like, they would humiliate everybody on the floor with swishing shots and face-smooshing.

Nino probably wouldn't stand out in an intramural game between a couple of frats.

Dumbest thing I've heard in a long time.  Nino has basketball skills...he just has no bbiq and never knows where to be in Frank's system so he doesn't play.

The thing JO has always had that we haven't seen from Diaz yet is an above average ability to block shots/ contest shots at the rim.  No??  Diaz could grow into it obviously but that's kidna important from big men in Frank's defense.

Did Angel shoot a decent 3 point % in high school (not sure if there's any way to find those stats??)?  I know he likely won't shoot his high school % but trying to figure out what a realistic expectation is once he finds his stroke.

Kevin Jones is a top 50 recruit and a senior.

I generally like not calling timeouts at end of games. Coaches generally outhink themselves. And IIRC, we got a bad shot and a slightly above average shot from the not calling a TO possession. I think,

Of course, Frank got a great look for Rod out of a TO at the end of the game, but still.

Think this was actually a broken play.  Angel was supposed set a pick on Rodney's man so he could run through a double pick towards the camera.  Instead, Rodney waits for Angel...Angel doesn't come so Rodney kinda shrugs his shoulders and runs the other way around Gipson for the three attempt.  This was followed by Frank screaming "where you rough ridin' going, Angel".  Anywho...carry on.

No he's not.  His on ball defense is well above average, especially for a freshman.  As for his passing...he'll continue to get better and his two inside assists were OUTSTANDING.  Lob to Southwell and that fantastic entry to Gipson from the top of the key.

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Soph year JamSam back this year?
« on: October 13, 2011, 01:01:07 PM »
I think Jamar plays as strong in the paint as anyone K-State has ever had at times, and I think he takes off into Jamarland at other times.  I think what Frank is looking for out of Jamar this season is consistency in his work and leadership.

The problem is that he is 6'7, at best.  Probably closer to 6'5.  Skinny as a rail.

Yes, at times, he plays extremely tough.  But, the vast majority of the time, the dude is in Jamarland.  Frank wants hard work and leadership, but to this point, hasn't gotten it.  Jamar commits far more stupid fouls than any other K-State player I've ever seen.

Wrong.  He may not be big enough or skilled enough to be what you want him to be but he plays very tough down low.  He's as JYC as anyone we have.

This may have been discussed....sorry if I missed it.  With Frank publicly flirting with another job, does Rodriguez still come to KState if Frank stays?  Doubt it.  Why not make the safe play and go to Louisvilel where the coach is more likely to be there in four years when you're done?
