Alright pike explain those 4 cold war era wheat hangars right in the middle there

They are rain out shelters for drought research. Everything in the pic plays a part in feeding the world!

After reading the latest disclosures about Rock Chalk Park, I don't know if I'd be embarrassed as hell knowing how hard K-State would be suckling off the taxpayers teat if they were to ever enter into a similar agreement.  Or, if I should high five everyone at K-State for taking local government for such a ride.

I guess Kudo's to ku for taking a page out of Cornhole U Athletics (Nebraska) playbook and grabbing that taxpayer teat with both hands and taking a nice long pull.

If you are referring to the new PBA in Lincoln, it was never about NU more about the inferiority complex between Lincoln and Omaha.     The city of Lincoln is the one trying to get the University system to build stuff that they can use without having to pay a majority of the cost.

Don't worry BP, Emo sent me the real deal; and it's for sale.  :gocho:

Emo sent me fakes after Hank had posted the real rendos again... Which, by the way, may or may not have attached themselves to a Zip drive.

:peek:

Who the eff still uses a zip drive these days?

I am pretty sure that K-State Athletics would have to buy that land from either the Foundation or the university.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doesn't the "rules" of the foundation or whatever say that land can't be sold or repurposed?  It was donated to be what it is; it shall always be what it is.

no i don't think that is true. i mean the foundation was building a new building on the corner of kimball and denison and then the market tanked and the stopped and i heard sold it to something involved with nbaf or something. i can check into this but i'm pretty sure there is no rule.

The land is owned by the individual departments within the College of Agriculture. (this is basic knowledge of people that know how the University runs)  The Foundation had to purchase that land from Animal Science, that revenue went to the construction of the new buildings they have just to the north on Denison.  The land to the north is owned by Agronomy.  Agronomy sold part of the farm to a developer in the early 2000's to finance purchase of ground in Ashland Bottoms south of town.  That development is east of Anthony FYI.  I highly doubt Agronomy is going to sell anything to athletics because that area is the base for foundation seed sales and all research activity out of Manhattan.  Plus there is talk of building a new classroom teaching extension building on that site.  My knowledge is A+ on this, you can confirm with J-Von.

they'll upgrade video boards at all facilities next year as a new all-sport contract with daktroniks.

Spelling was a little off.  Lots of examples of their ribbons at pro and collegiate stadiums.

Does that include replacing the south one again?

I hope so, it's big but outdated. To eliminate the Vanier problem I think they shoul put a massive one south side and smaller ones in the sw and se corners

So I don't remember this being discussed yet but there seems to be a large amount of space under the club level seating.  What are thoughts of putting in open air suites (field box) along the top of the seating bowl like they have at Arrowhead?  See Field Box page. http://prod.static.chiefs.clubs.nfl.com/assets/docs/suites_brochure.pdf

if the Chiefs have it, no rough ridin' thanks

I'm with you. nothing screams elite like vinyl office chairs on metal bleachers

  Sounds like what a poor KU guy says about the seats he can't get.

First of all shazbot! SI for making our guy so small, took me 5 minutes to find him.

Second of all shazbot! SI for picking the worst player on our team to put on the cover.

Did you ever find Waldo as a kid? or did you just throw the book away?
