I am pretty sure that K-State Athletics would have to buy that land from either the Foundation or the university.

Doesn't the "rules" of the foundation or whatever say that land can't be sold or repurposed? It was donated to be what it is; it shall always be what it is.
no i don't think that is true. i mean the foundation was building a new building on the corner of kimball and denison and then the market tanked and the stopped and i heard sold it to something involved with nbaf or something. i can check into this but i'm pretty sure there is no rule.
The land is owned by the individual departments within the College of Agriculture. (this is basic knowledge of people that know how the University runs) The Foundation had to purchase that land from Animal Science, that revenue went to the construction of the new buildings they have just to the north on Denison. The land to the north is owned by Agronomy. Agronomy sold part of the farm to a developer in the early 2000's to finance purchase of ground in Ashland Bottoms south of town. That development is east of Anthony FYI. I highly doubt Agronomy is going to sell anything to athletics because that area is the base for foundation seed sales and all research activity out of Manhattan. Plus there is talk of building a new classroom teaching extension building on that site. My knowledge is A+ on this, you can confirm with J-Von.
