Essentially Flyertalk / Re: Facts about Topeka

So glad I stumbled onto this thread.  Makes me actually think fondly of my hometown.

Spent this last weekend there for father's day.  Spent the prior Sunday at the Lake Shawnee Ski Club.  Wonderful times.

Was totally floored when I drove down tenth street a couple of months ago and saw Buddy's was no longer there.  A part of me died inside.  Totally agree on the comments about Annie's Place and the Pad.  Awesome places for a burger.

Everyone has totally passed on the fact that there's an albino lady that walks around Rochester Cemetery at night.

I had the same experience driving by the old Buddy's the other day.  Luckily, the Pad, a first cousin of Buddy's is still open.

I must have spent minutes sitting in Rochester Cemetery wait for the albino lady.  No such luck.  I was once successfully stole a Napa hat off a truck in Topeka.  I was unsuccessful at stealing the Roy Fry Horse.  It's higher than you think.

and of course, free hotdogs.

Speaking of hotdogs..................

Butt-face.
fact:   The Topeka Sheridan's (as of at least 2008) sold more hot dogs per capita than any other Sheridans.
Never tried their hot dogs.

Did have a free birthday concrete last week.

surprisingly they aren't that good.  it's odd.  Kind of like that Topeka drinks more Tuaca per capita than the rest of the world.

my north topeka tire salesman buddy has drug me there a couple of times.    terrible talent but it's good for some hilarious stories.

This isn't the fracking Phog, put your comments BELOW the quote, you fracking noob!  :curse:

Butt-face.

They are the best and the Chili is pretty good too!  I particularly like getting yelled at by Old Lady Porubsky when I don't order quick enough.

FACT:  There is a biker bar* in North Topeka that has a motorcycle made of bones & hundereds of bras hanging from the walls.

*Spacing the name, just north of 24, maybe off Kansas?.
The only place in Topeka that I would take someone from out-of-town.

That would be the Kick Start Saloon.  Some of them bras gotta be in there since the 40's.

Anybody else but me like Porubsky's Pickles? (from "Little Russia")

I drive a dark brown, 88 Cavalier 2-door.  I have the windows darkened.  It's not a Z24, but I found some Z24 wheels and had them put on with some low profile tires.

I have "Midnight Player" written in eight inch pink letters across the visor portion of my windshield, and have a huge JL audio sticker across the back.....no room for any Shocker, let alone Wildcat stickers.

I have seen you before.  You seem very cool.  Every time I see you, you have good looking ho in the passenger seat.  Could you help me come up with an advertisement for my windshield?  If it helps, I am very fit.  I used to be a cliff diver and a violinist in a Mariachi band.  I am Mexican but I look Iranian.  I also have a very long but skinny d*&k.
