Hi All, I actually have 5 tickets now available for the Vandy game.  Something came up that's family related that's preventing us from going.  Wasn't sure if there was a ticket thread to comment about these or if this thread would suffice as well?
4 of the tickets are all together in the same row, south corner end zone, and then one ticket that's the same row but 5 seats down.
Looking to sell them for $30 a ticket; that's what I bought them for.
If interested send me a message and we'll go from there.
Thanks.

Anybody listen to the LHC Bill Snyder Show last night?
His memory is getting the best of him unless he said the following purposely but why he would do that I'm not sure. Anyway, he was asked by a caller:  what were some of his most memorable wins here and he said the first win vs. Northern Iowa and then the Big 12 Championship game in '97 or '98, he couldn't seem to remember which of those two seasons, both wrong of course, that win occurred vs. #1 OU. I think it's a combination of his age and corresponding memory loss beginning to set in and two, he's not one to reflect on the past, which could make it harder to remember specific dates or who you beat in your first victory here.

Somebody told me they saw Sam Harvill the other day working out with Josh Berard at one of the gyms in town.  Said he approached Sam and asked him if he was back on the team.  Harvill told him he's looking to walk on starting January.  If this guy can stay focused and healthy, he'll be an asset on that D-Line in due time.

I might be missing something but I thought this guy was suppose to be a stud cb? How is he not playing over Roberts?
Probably because he didn't arrive until early August.  Roberts has more experience with Hayes and time will tell when Jackson is mentally ready.
He was in class in January
My mistake there.  I thought I remember reading he was slated to be among those who were arriving in August.  Then I'd say he's not as good as Nigel was when Nigel arrived.  The players were touting Nigel the entire spring leading up to his first season with us.

We should move Travis Green to LB. He is significantly faster than anyone there and roughly the size of Jonathan Truman. We don't need the depth at safety.

Something worth trying.  Green and Dakorey Johnson are both faster than Slaughter and Truman for sure.

Missing out on Spaight was no big deal, he was just one player!

One player who is significantly faster than our starting linebackers.  One player who can close in on holes to help stuff the run.  One player who possesses the athleticism and hip movement needed at linebacker in today's game.  Just one player?...lmao.

These two names ring a bell?  Martrell Spaight and Jeff Luc?  Missing on these two guys has proven itself to be significant.  Luc is starting at Cincy and Spaight at Arkansas.  Having these two would have helped out our linebacker play threefold.

they are as bad as most people thought they would be. but most people thought they would be pretty awful.

Last night showed what happens when you don't have an elite linebacker who can come through in the clutch.  Based on what I saw last night I question whether any of the three starting linebackers would be starting anywhere else in the BigXII.  Their tackling was poor, they don't possess great speed, and their ability to pursue into gaps was poor.  Time will tell but this first game is a bad sign if you ask me.

This will be a pud team we can bouce back against, right?

Uhh, no, ULL isn't going to be a pushover.  I've said since April that this Cajuns team will be the most difficult team we play in the non-conference.  If we play like we did last night the Cajuns will most surely beat us.  I wish Sams would have seen the ball more last night.

I'll believe we have a chamce when my crap turns purple and tastes like rainbow sherbet

I got to believe our chances our pretty good in landing him.  His dad and coach played here, he'd become part of the Wildcat family, an experience I'd like to believe he isn't going to get playing for a corrupt coach like Urban Meyer.  Plus his parents would be able to watch the majority of his games if he were to choose us.  I like our chances.

I'd say we got you beat:

Reports of no cornelius Lucas... :runaway:

I was at the practice today and did not see Cornelius Lucas or Torrell Miller.  They weren't introduced to the crowd by Coach Snyder either.  How in the heck are they off the team?

violation of team rules.  good riddance.  i have zero tolerance for rule breakers.

I'll believe it when I see it.  I could see Torrell messing up.  I had a Chemistry lab with him and he cheated off of everybody's answers.  I can't believe Lucas messed up though.  That one I'll believe when it makes the media.

believe it, kid

I believe you Kim.  I think I like Whitehair at left tackle better anyway.  Whitehair is a stud, no matter where you put him on the line.  With his being moved to Sams' or Waters' blindside that means Stiverson will move in to the right guard spot.  If he's not beaten out he'll end up being a three-year starter at that spot.  What we saw today at the practice will be the starting five on the line:  Whitehair, Taylor, Finney, Stiverson, Rooks.  Losing Miller will give Deante Burton a greater opportunity to play sooner, hopefully.

i was lying.  they're probably both still on the team.

I'm still sort of new to this site but I now know who not to believe on this site  :dubious:

Thanks for the update Bookie!  Losing Miller however, if he did however mess up, will give Deante Burton a greater opportunity to play sooner, hopefully.  Burton has great hands and moves well with his big frame.

Less votes than Baylor  :curse: :curse: :chainsaw: :chainsaw:

I think Baylor will be tough to beat this year, especially if they get their Defense figured out.  I still like our chances against them at home this season.  Bennett said when he was the D-coordinator here his defenses could never get the best of Snyder's offenses.

I really believe ULL will be our toughest non-conference opponent this season.  I think we win but expect us to be feeling nervous at times in the second half of this one.  I think Hudspeth has this program going in the right direction.  They've become more and more competitive since he and his staff arrived down there.  Just food for thought.  Go 'Cats!

If Mike Moore is a number one at one of the linebacker spots going into fall I don't see him staying there.  He's too undersized--needs to bulk up more.  I saw him in Dillon's with his gf one evening and I was left wondering if he even lifts weights.  I'm a believer Truman will be a starter at one spot and Will Davis will make a strong push for another.  It's great to be back btw!  Hello to everyone again.

I love it when good, honest people from Kansas and beyond find success by doing things the right way,
which in turn gets under people's skin, such as this sore loser who writes for the Miami Herald, who has
probably never been disciplined his whole life.  It's this reason why I took such a pleasure in our beating
those East-coast idiots from Syracuse back in 97.  And during the Pinstripe Bowl that feeling struck me again
after I saw from afar, greasy-looking Syracuse fans throwing snowballs at Cat fans in the stadium.  This article is indicative
of how every member of the Media on both coasts hope that we slip up between now and after the Texas game.  Eff all 'em.
Here's to winning the right way!  Here's to winning the Snyder way!  Go 'Cats.

No, it wasn't just like Dimel!  Dimel only managed eight wins in three seasons at Houston.  Leavitt, who was 95-57 at South Florida, lost his job because of allegations that he had struck one of his players.  Leavitt won eight games the first season South Florida was promoted to a D-1 status.  He built South Florida out of literally nothing, for he was the program's first head coach.  By his 9th/10th season, I forget which, he had South Florida ranked in the top ten in the country at one point.  If I'm not mistaken he had South Florida ranked number 2 in the BCS, just behind Ohio State.  If you check the facts Dimel can't hold a candle to Leavitt.  Go 'Cats!

Steve Dave, I've appreciated your insight on many matters pertaining to K-State football over the years but I must disagree with you
regarding your stance that Dimel is a far better choice than Leavitt.  Don't get me wrong, I think Dimel is a quality coach but look at the success that Leavitt had as a head coach at South Florida coupled with his coordinator duties for us in the 90s and currently with the 49ers.  Dimel simply couldn't get things going during his time at Houston.  I think Dimel would better serve as Leavitt's offensive coordinator.

If Currie were smart he'd listen to Snyder's suggestions regarding the latter's replacement but I'm not convinced that will be genuinely undertaken.  Currie truly has an ego and wants to put his own stamp on at K-State.  However, regarding coach Snyder's say in the matter, I'd like to believe that he wants somebody who has (a.) coached under him in Manhattan and (b.) was successful as a head coach thereafter.  Who comes quickly and legitimately to mind are Jim Leavitt and Mark Mangino.  I think Jim Leavitt is the perfect fit.  He meets both a. and b. AND let's not forget:  he's familiar with Del Miller, Michael Smith, Dana Dimel, Sean, and of course, Joe Gordon (if he comes back in the near future), all of whom he has worked with already in some capacity when he was here during the early years of Snyder 1.0.  Leavitt also worked side-by-side with Bob Stoops for about 6 years as a fellow defensive coordinator; Leavitt, like Snyder, would therefore know how to beat Stoops.  If Jim doesn't come and Currie ignores Snyder's suggestions, then there's one name out there currently, with no ties to K-State or coach Snyder, that I'm really high on.  He's young, has been successful everywhere he's been  and has to be licking his chops at his first major job:  Mark Hudspeth.  He worked under Dan Mullen at Mississippi State and has done a fine job thus far at Louisiana Lafayette.  Call me crazy but my gut tells me this guy is going to be big time.  Take it for what it's worth!  Go 'Cats.
