I knew the good people of Go Emaw would be talking about Frank. I'm a big Frank supporter, but I think he crossed the line. If that happened in practice, it would be a bit much, but there wouldn't have been donors calling the AD. Basketball is supported heavily at USC when we're decent. The last time we went to the NCAA's we averaged over 17,000 a game for SEC games, so there are certainly plenty of people that support decent basketball. Even in this abysmal season, we've had several crowds over 14,000 and we're 4-13 in the conference. FYI, basketball is clearly the 2nd sport at USC, even though the baseball team has been highly successful. WBB is moving up very quickly, too, as we were 10th in the country in attendance this season. I think Frank will survive this episode, but it's time to see improvement in wins and temper next season. Good luck the rest of the season.

We aren't unrealistic enough to know that it will take until probably year 3 for Frank to have us in the tournament.

it won't take that long.  you are a very lucky fanbase.

If Frank gets us in the tourney sooner than that AND wins a game or two he will have the 800,000 citizens of Columbia eating out of his hand, including me. The last 14 years have been tortuous except for those 2 runs to win the NIT.

yeah, the point is that Frank is butting heads with the AD before he's even signed a recruit or coached a game, and it's great to watch.

no, the point is he's not butting heads with anyone.  his AD is taking the fall for Frank's decision not to let the kid go to NC State.  frank wants the world to think he's some great guy and supports the transfer.  he doesn't.  he's "leaked" to his cbs circle jerk that it's not him but thats only to protect his image.

Exactly - our AD has done this before - take the heat for his coaches.

I don't understand why the Gamecock fans are so happy about Moose and Franks other recruits he's got coming in so far. Are they that blind? Thaddeus Hall is decent but outside of that I'd be pissed if I was them. They also call Underwood a "great recruiter"...lol. Frank is REALLY going to struggle at SC and I'm enjoying it.

We know that these aren't "great" recruits, but we also know that there aren't a lot of great recruits left during the spring signing period. BTW, Moose is now 7' 245 so he will be a space eater, if nothing else. We aren't unrealistic enough to know that it will take until probably year 3 for Frank to have us in the tournament. We're a patient group as long as we see progress.

Don't blame him.  He follows Frank he can claim to be the guy that runs the offense.  Stays under Weber and he's a guy that just hangs around Manhattan.  Easier to land a head gig as Martin's go-to guy.

Have you heard if he's definitely following Frank? We sure hope so at USC.

I feel sorry for you guys - if you hire oscar Weber, that is a huge letdown. In all seriousness, Doug Gottlieb (with no coaching experience to speak of) could do a better job.

Ray Allen, Jermaine O'Neal, Stanley Roberts, Alex English, Kevin Garnett, Devan Downey, Tyrone Corbin, Xavier McDaniel, Raymond Felton, etc. The Celtics alone have 3 players from the State of South Carolina.

I dont live in the past... ask any clemtech fan and they will tell you who owns who nowadays. Clemson is head and shoulders above Kansas anyway. kansas on the other hand... owns you.

Clemson and their trip to a BCS bowl laughs at you.  As does Kansas. As does Kansas State.  In fact, the SEC has had 7 teams in the BCS, and South Carolina is not one.  Congrats on being the 8th best team in your conference

lol main exports for kansas and their 65,000 + farmers. Corn and Wheat. lol compared to sc's 21,000 farmers. in a state barely twice as big you have over 3x as many farmers. man i feel sorry for you. and we are poor? hahaha. your dumb ass farmers didnt even realize they filled for aid and grants and were only getting a quarter of a percent of the grant total while other states (including sc) were getting over whole percents. it took 15 years before your dumbasses even complained

We have almost 2 million more people in less than half the land area, also. We're more popular.
