Dellinger has more details:

-13 football games per year from streaming on ESPN+ to linear on TBS\TNT
-15 basketball games to TBS\TNT

Starts next season and as a sub-license doubt we see more $ just better exposure.

Is this the thread where someone said there was not going to be a drop-off from Deuce leaving?

Love DJamer but it's crazy how valuable it is to have a guy who can turn an average play into an improbable touchdown like Deuce could

Running behind Beebe kinda helps too

we still have a clear path into the conference championship game

https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket.php?conf=big12fb

Ran through some scenarios and it seems we are still in good shape with tie breakers if a bunch of teams end up with 2 loss each..

Obviously we need CU to lose and for us to win out but if those 2 things happen a BYU/KSU rematch seems to be the only outcome regardless of who else is tied with 2 losses.

Not a lot of detail in the article, sounds like someone if floating a trial ballon of giving them more money in exchange for shorting the GOR and then having them leave in a more orderly fashion. The ACC wins because this would leave the GOR concept intact and the rebels win with more money and a clear way out in a couple years (I assume it would be 2027)

Haven't seen a designed QB run half way through the 2nd quarter is odd.

He's not been very accurate historically. He announced he went into hospice care a while back so honestly I'm kind of surprised he's even still putting info out.

In fairness, he has probably correctly predicted every realignment move ever made. The only problem is he has also missed on several thousands of other predictions since he just constantly throws every thought out there as "news".

CBS Sports and Jeff Goodman said we really did pay north of 2 mil.  Norlander from CBS said: "K-State boasts one of the largest NIL war chests of any program in college basketball." Damn.

You are welcome guys.  My little $9.95 per month contribution to Wildcat NIL is really paying off.

I think it is possible that some athletic directors, university presidents and Brett Yormark will outsmart Wall Street types on a business deal because the Wall Street guys are too greedy and are missing something about our valuation. But I think hoping for a mutually beneficially long term relationship or taking advantage of those Wall Street suckers is delusional at worst and the bargaining stage at best.

Well said kk

PE money is a short term cash influx to meet our new $20M per year payroll.  It is not a fix but let's us kick the can down the road until (hopefully) we find a long-term fix.  I get the need from the conference perspective.  I don't see how the PE guys are going to make money since they are essentially buying 20% of the holding company when the real value is in the schools.

Yes. It's just absurd. I could wrap my head around taking on PE investment if the league were truly dying, but I didn't think it is. Permanent second tier? Probably. But not dying, and this doesn't put us in the first tier long term. Maybe but even short term

So is all that Utah to ACC thing a load of crap right? Ffs they already replaced their logo on their field with the Big 12.
I haven’t been keeping up, where is it being talked about?

Mainly TwitterX, but there was enough noise that they issued a statement.

They drained the farm pond  :frown:

That is a nice crop of dandelions they got growing there.

So the Big 12 was the first to settle this thing. What does this really mean, the articles says that we are basically going to able to pay our players directly from the school. Will be interesting how this is all going to turn out.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/40192345/big-12-first-agree-settle-house-v-ncaa-case-sources-say

The other conferences also have to approve (likely) and the judge has to approve the settlement.  Haven't seen any commentary if that is likely or not.

So, what is the current roster?
Dug McDaniel
CJ Jones
Brendan Hausen
Baye Fall
Buddy Rich
David N'Guessan
Taj Manning

Big 12 changed format to 3 v3 right?  If not we might need a couple more dudes or even just some warm bodies.

Do any of the AD folks still post here?  If so, I have an NIL idea:

They need to set up an account that can receive venmo, text donations, etc via mobile, then flash that on the jumbo screens at all games so that fans can donate in the heat of the moment, while they are all horned up, to the KState Collective, or whatever they are rough ridin' calling it.  They should flash that on the screen after every touch down, sack, alley oop, etc.  It should be on all screens as fans enter and exit all games.

Would be a good idea to figure out how to milk for the NIL money since that is the future.

https://catsnil.com/support-our-athletes/

You can sign up for as little as $9.99 per month.

This transfer\NIL era only works long term if you make the players employees and then collectively bargain in the rules suggested above. College football and basketball have to transition to a pro-model.  It is the only way to maintain a fair balance of compensation and freedom for the players and a product that fans want to watch.

Based on cryptic gif posted by KSU_Fan and Manbeck sounds like an extension has been agreed too.

Got to explain what Viagra is to my kid. Thanks BYU.

Just remember, if you are soaking for more than 4 hours, call your physician.

So 3 of the 4 playoff teams lost their coaches in the off-season.  Wacky wacky off-season this year.

22
No way Lance turns down the obvious offer coming from Alabama. We all knew this day would come.

23
a guy like Brooks should have absolutely played last night.  he robbed himself going out eating sweet pop tarts, and there's no way he's getting drafted.  i love the guy and the kind of receiver/returner he is, but come on.  deuce almost didn't get drafted and brooks isn't near as electric and practically the same size at a position where you need more size.
Not trying to be a cranky old person and this is not specific to Brooks but at what point does all of the "opting out" end? Like if a player realizes their team won't make the CFP 8 games into the season can they opt out of the rest of that season's games because they are meaningless opportunities to get a career-ending injury? Will participation in bowl games become a condition of NIL money? If bowl games are meaningless and not worth playing in, which games during the regular season are meaningful?

It will end when they are declared employees and their contracts under the CBA require them to play with the appropriate compensation and insurance safeguards for injuries.

Definitely not niche. More like ubiquitous.

AND, I am very disappointed that they did not make that trophy into an actual toaster.

Look, we have a whole ass engineering college. Bring that baby back to Manhattan and I'm sure we can retrofit some heating elements.
