Not so fast my friend. Let's not forget that Willy Robinson is gone. That could bring a change to our philosophy in time for the bowl game (one can only hope.)

Hopefully we put Jericho Nelson right behind Bequette and tell him that his only job is to demolish anyone carrying the ball. Don't go for strips, don't over pursue, don't miss tackles. Just stop the run.

I'm not a Willy(ie) fan, but if you think a first GAME DCoordinator will come in and fix our run fit problems after...

1. Having never worked a single down with a group that wasn't in the secondary.
2. Having only worked a few weeks with our defensive unit.
3. Having NEVER called defenses (he didn't call them at OSU, Jim Heacock did)

You are out ya mind, boy.  Don't be holding your breath for our defense to come out like gangbusters, because it won't happen.

Oh no, I think we have a LONG ways to go before our defense is "fixed". I 'm more hoping for a bandaid in this game.

personally and this is my two cents, we need to start off by pease banging off tackle and guard to wear them down a bit, then go zone read and spread read. those guys are fast and play even faster. the speed is going to be the biggest challenge and we need to wear them down quickly

Yes sir!   Make your cake the inside running game and the outside/pa the frosting and sprinkles.  If they do that, KState may not punt all day.

For some reason the PR teams we have played this year have come out of the gates trying to throw on us, it is down right silly.  Just pound us.  Don't make it too complicated.

Neither team is known for defense. My prediction is 52-48

We'll hold the ball a long time, and we won't score on you that fast. 

I HOPE that isn't the case. I hope yall have to try to outshoot us. Just the opposite of what I thought with Alabama and LSU who I thought we should have tried to beat in low scoring games. I think our best chance against yall is a shootout.

Special teams could help or hut the Hogs. Joe Adams of course can destroy a punt coverage unit on any given punt, on the other hand we often make mistakes on punt coverage ourselves. I'd call it a wash.

I agree. I'd say the unit most likely that could turn this game is your KO return vs our KO coverage, by far the most concerning STs match-up for K-State. I do think we could block a FG/PAT though.

Well, I would say you will probably have plenty of chances to try to block an XP attempt.

And certainly given our abysmal bowl record, we don't have anything to be overly confident about, but come on, you guys aren't exactly Alabama yourselves.

It's just being logical about each program's rightful place in college football............
