On the original topic, I don't see how playing us hurts your image or is and insult by any means. We are 10-2 and those 2 are in the championship game. You all are 10-2. Ranks 6 and 8. I think the rules screwed us out of the Sugar bowl, and you all got screwed out of it by...I think the Sugar bowl. I just don't see where the question of a tarnish comes from.

Oh it absolutely tarnishes our image. Arkansas got blown out by the #1 and #2 teams. Almost lost to the Old Ms Slave owners and should have lost to ATM and Vandy.

The rules didn't screw Arkansas out of the Sugar Bowl. Arkansas screwed Arkansas out of the Sugar Bowl and never belonged in the BCS. IMO they shouldn't be in the top ten. This team underachieved all year.

And yet we're still ranked higher.

Delusions of grandeur.

it's amazing what happens when espn sucks the conference's dick and cups the balls huh?

No, but what is amazing is the collective group of bleeding gashes over here when it comes to the superiority of the SEC. And the only thing you have to fall back on is "the rankings aren't fair, the media isn't fair, blah blah, blah".

While it's true we got blown out, what does that say about that 41 point beatdown AT HOME to OU?

the SEC is top heavy. There's Bama, LSU and everyone else.
the loss to OU was terrible, admittedly. it sucked. but that's ONE big loss. compared to TWO complete dominant losses.
YOU ARE NOT ON PAR WITH LSU AND BAMA!!!

I think it's fair to say that it's LSU, Alabama, and then everyone else in the country. Maybe we can hold hands, be jealous of KU, and wish we were as good as everyone else, together.

I just got on here to see what the hooplah was all about. Seems like the normal stuff.. We are better than you.. our conference is better.. (fill in some sort of derogatory remark that make no sense), defensive remarks when no valid argument comes to mind. We do the same thing on our boards.. you are welcome any time.

There's no real argument against beating 3/5 BCS conference champions.. sucks right? Especially seeing how the BIG 12's toughest OOC games was us.

Good Game.

No it isn't. The entire system is based upon an eyeball test of a 12-13 game season with 120 teams. It's impossible to know who the #1 and #2 team are. Do you guys honestly not understand this?

Just because those crock suckers on ESPN say the SEC is the next coming of Christ, does not make it true. There's no way to tell.

It's pretty simple actually... We will keep saying we are the best until someone beats us in a NCG game.. or gives a losing record in OOC games in a season. What are we this year? 4-0 against OOC ranked teams? With two wins over other conferences champions? I think you need to re-evaluate your logic. It has never been more evident than this year. Past years I may have listened.

EDIT: 3 wins over conference champions since SC beat Clemson.

I m not trying to fuel the fire, but 5 in a row is a pretty good argument.

It's like that Kobe vs. Lebron argument. It's the only evidence you need. 00-10: SEC-6  BIG 12-2

Let me assure you Mr. Anonymous Internet Poster who uses an outdated website for selling merchandise, I have been *inside* the very Farris Center of the University College of Arkansas where your Sugar Bearpigs play basketyhoops. I have taken in your atmosphere and multiple murals to the only relevant basketball player in your school's history, Scottie Pippen. I would not disparage or misrepresent anything about your fine institution.

Arkansas Fan here... I laughed as hard as I have in a while when I read this. Kudos.

Arkansas Fan here with some early analysis:

Things K-State will be successful with:

- Speed Option  (specifically to the left side of the defense) - Our defensive ends have a tendency to push up field to much, specifically Bequette. Jericho Nelson, who plays bandit LB for us, also tends to over pursue.
- Zone Blitzes - Arkansas O-line struggles with stunts and complex blitz packages. Our O-Line is fairly decent at managing edge pressure. If you can force them to make an outside step and check back inside to a blitz they are toast.
- QB scrambles - Our secondary is average at best. If you force us to respect the pass early C. Klein can run all day on us.

Who really knows how bad we could be on defense with W Rob getting axed?

Things K-State won't be successful with:

-Slowing us down on offense - No disrespect, but if your name isn't Alabama or LSU ,you won't show us any level of skill we haven't seen before.
-Stopping the run - Even though we aren't a top tier running team, we probably have a better rushing attack than you have seen (Maybe Texas?). If somehow Knile Davis comes back for the bowl game, that holds even more weight. Not 200 yards, but a solid hundred yard day for DJamer.

If you showed me a single game film I would without a doubt say that Arkansas is an overwhelming favorite. I live in the KC area, so I have a few friends that are K-State grads. I have seen 4-5 games this season. There is just something about the Klein kid that worries me and Snyder is an all-time great, in my opinion. Every week you are a 7 point or greater underdog and every week you pull something out.

I think you are facing a more athletic team in every facet of the game, but in no way do I think you are outmatched. If you stretch the field and make us have to play sound on the d-front rather than just pinning the ears back, you will have a lot of success. Which is what your offense is based on.
