funny thai story here guys.  i was in thailand and i got some cashew chicken and this place brought out a little bowl with fine ground red pepper to add so i grab a few pinches and sprinkle it on, p good.  anyway i go to lift my napkin from the table to my face and i guess i dusted the napkin a little too and a cloud of pepper hits my eye and starts burning so i reflexively rub my eye but it's with the pinching fingers so i just rub more pepper into my eye.  anyway it was pretty painful and my vision was all blurry but it went away after 20ish minutes.  after that i got a chocolate roti from a street vendor and ate it while smoking a j on the beach.

That is a roller coaster of a story and I'm glad it ended on a HIGH note

Baramee is my best friend but it's very much close to me so easier to get to type of relationship.

Baramee is really good at the curry dishes, but thai place seems better overall. I want that red curry again soon though

i tried thai place today based upon your review. this is my first experience with thai food.

let’s start with the goons. delicious. they use the thinner wrappers which this goon head prefers.

pad thai. first thing - what a weird name for food. I opted for the chicken and shrimp, MEDIUM HEAT, and of course without any bean sprouts, cabbage, or other vegetables. it’s pretty good. the  serving size is way too big. the medium is SPICY, I probably don’t need to go to the HOT level.

overall, this place rates pretty high in the kc thai scene. if you’re a loc’d out pad head, find this joint asap!

Good review thai-knee tim! yes the goons are real nice.

I'm glad you came to your senses, Thai place has been amazing for 25+ years.

We haven't given Thai place a try yet. Will add it to the list.

First visit order: app trio, (6) wings - HOT, traditional pad Thai with beef - HOT

7/7 no notes. Used the app trio as palate cleanser between HOT bites

the one time i've been was when i was pretty fresh out of college, i went on a work trip with a very old coworker and we ate there for breakfast one morning. it was like a typical midwestern grandma's house, just packed to the gills with a specific type of nostalgic clutter. food was not memorably good or bad

It's a very minor thing and they are basically interchangeable but when people use Daylight/Standard time incorrectly it grinds my gears.

NO, we are currently in CDT and have been since March. We will be in CST in November.

in my entire life i have never seen "CDT"

Last spring we cancelled our trip to lake city this summer largely because of their attitude toward ICE deporting illegals. Why travel to Colorado to deal with that nonsense when we got plenty that need to go back here in Texas. We'll make plans to go somewhere else but Colorado next year. Heck maybe even DC if trump can get the rest of the demo crap out of that city.

also the san juans are absolutely infested with jeep rubicons with TX plates.
