What kind of DRUGS do you guys do to forget what happened?

7
A good solution would be offering student-athletes a big payday when they graduate.  That would encourage them to stay in school and work hard for a degree and they would get a cut of all the revenue they generate.  Title IX would probably get in the way of this ("Athletes on the women's rowing team deserve just as much as the All American QB!") but if athletes were promised, say, a check for 50K upon graduation that would be a good middle ground.  Technically they would no longer be student-athletes since they have graduated (unless they redshirted, finished their undergrad and are in grad school during their fifth year on the team) and it promotes education.

There would have to be limits, though.  Otherwise deep-pocket programs like Texas and Alabama would gain an even bigger recruiting advantage.  If the money came directly from the NCAA and each player in each conference received the same amount, that would be a good solution.  Scale the payouts to the revenue each sport brings in.

THIS

Not to mention its kind of like pot - if you just legalize players getting paid then its better for everybody

Pot is an illegal and dangerous drug. If you think it needs to be legalized you need to have your HEAD SCOPED

Not illegal if you make it legal... come on man.

According to Outback's Web site, its signature starter is "hand-carved by a dedicated bloomologist." We have no idea what that means, but consider bloomology the science of diet destruction. This bouquet of batter-dipped produce is the caloric equivalent of eating an entire medium Pizza Hut pepperoni pizza—before your dinner! What's more, it also delivers 2 days' worth of cholesterol-boosting trans fats and enough sodium to keep your cardiologist up at night.

USC is 6-2.  They have beaten teams with a combined record of 16-32.  Their best win?  Washington (4-4).  They have lost to teams that are a combined 11-5.  And they are the BEST team ND has yet to play.

ND will plummet in the computers as they continue to play cupcakes.  Our schedule is incredible compared to theirs (and on par with Oregon's).  I think we are in good shape.

Edit:  And we get a shot at yet ANOTHER top 25 team next week.  Our biggest concern should be winning out.

I like you

If KU hires Leach, there will be people lining up to pay for his contract.  Do you think we are struggling for cheddah?  Our athletic budget is around $70 million or so, and we've got the third-largest endowment in the Big 12 behind Texas and Texas A&M, and will have the 2nd-highest once Texas A&M leaves.  KU is also the 4th-most profitable basketball program in the country as well.

I'm glad I never have to meet you in person.

You are such a ROD!

The last "football guy" got fired over nothing, the last good coach got fired because he was "mean" . . . why can't you figure this out, why are you so dense?   The previous good football coach to Mangino couldn't wait to get out of the place . . . why can't you ever seem to spot trends?

Yeah, if only we had kept Al Bohl around instead of getting Lew Perkins, then our program would really be rolling right now.  And if Glen Mason couldn't wait to get out of the place, why did he turn down the Georgia job?

 :flush:

You are such a ROD!

Almost forgot about this.

Depending on what decision i decide to make for my self in the end will be the best decision for me and my family. I have more skills than most college football RB's and i get put third on the roster in my position at K-State. If u have a heart u can understand why im upset with Kansas State. Thats why the NFL may be better cuz i have NFL capabilites but it seems like no college will give me a chance so NFL may be my best bet at a carreer. Im sorry K-State fans but idk what to do right now but all i ask is for ur love and support and not ur criticism on whatever decision i make.

knew it all along. this is all about him. and all about how he is more lazy than Joe Hall in practices.

He is effing delusional. What made this kid think that everything would just be handed to him?

GMAFB, wichitards.

OKC is like 2 hours away.

Can't walk to it.

Also can't walk from Bricktown to the Bricktown Marriott Renaissance hotel without getting tossed in the drunk tank.

The only reason I care about Mizzou leaving is to keep the tourny in KC.  The only reason I care about that is so I can continue my annual 3 day basketball/drinking bender at SprintCenter/P&L with kcpowercat, who lives within walking distance.

This is really going to eff up sports talk radio in Kansas City.  I do NOT want to have to listen to Steven St. John break down the Mississippi State basketball game.  AND, of course Nate will continue to be a COMPLETE pussy and just let Steven blather on and on about it.

I hope KU refuses to play them.  rough ridin' cunts.

St. John is going to get militant when MU leaves.  That show won't be worth listening to.

People listen to it now :dunno:

eff 810 Radio... and eff MU. I'm gonna be really pissed if I can't attend the big 12 basketball tournament at Sprint because its gone to rough ridin' dallas every year. I'd be pissed if I had a sports related business in Kansas City too....especially if I'm an MU fan. I don't think the MU crowd realizes what this is gonna do to Kansas City.

bulzeye31 is an alright guy in my book. It's not easy for a n00b to play goEMAW like a fiddle, but he did a great job.

Hey thanks for your help guys, I think I'll have it figured out by game time.

Now on to other more important questions... what do you guys think about Venables possibly replacing Snyder someday?

Obviously I'd like Coach Snyder to coach as long as possible but it's inevitable, right?
