Every time I read about the BID team, all I see is this:  :Booty Shake:

along with some of this  :blah: mixed with this

give it up already, can't you all see what fools you look like?

guess it's not just about winning for me . . .

last year and a half just hasn't been as much fun . . .

so much more fun to watch frank's teams play . . .

Look, every single person alive on planet earth agrees that oscar Weber is a HUGE awkward dork, and makes everyone cringe at the very sight of him. The sun is hot, ice is cold.

But, he is also proving to be some kind of December basketball turd polisher...two data points in a row equal a trend.

As a result of this two year trend,  we must now suspend "burn-it-down" as long as oscar keeps polishing.  Of course the instant that he falters, we must pounce with furious rage.  go cats.

WGAF about Dec basketball other than it's fun to win any game.  He better be better at Jan-March polishing, otherwise GTFO stands.

Limeston GAF about November basketball (UNCo and Georgetown) to the point that he's jumped ship

I'm just astonished that somebody couldn't be entertained by either the GW or Zaga games because the coach isn't colorful enough.  I mean, I get all of the oscar/Frank national exposure stuff.  Frank's antics were a lightning rod for national coverage.  It was great for our program.

But, we are we are and the team is fun to watch.  I don't really know what else oscar could be doing.  Would Tad Boyle have been more exciting on the sideline?

No but oscar Pearl would have been.

pearl is a scum bag imho

Still here, [redacted].

Even if we're just as good this year with oscar as we would've been with Frank, dumbass OP and Gunnar have to admit a few things:
1) We're getting about 1/4th the national exposure now that we would have with Frank
2) This isn't nearly as much fun
3) The BBSing is absolutely terrible by comparo.

So yeah, pretty much we have been right all along about everything so far.

we've got about 3 more wins than we'd have had with Frank - don't let your stubborness continue to make you sound foolish

Doesn't matter, still not nearly as fun.

four freshmen that are going to leave their mark - is it getting fun yet?

Kansas State Basketball is hard / Re: Jevon Thomas
« on: January 01, 2014, 10:04:58 AM »
George Washington Head Coach Mike Lonergan

On GW’s issue’s during K-State’s 20-0 run…
“In all honesty, I think it was their point guard just dominating us. We could not get into an offense. He got up into our point guard and we really struggled with the ball. We could not get into any of our sets. We ended up not getting good shots and those led to easy shots for K-State, so I thought the kid, Jevon [Thomas], dominated that game, despite not making a field goal, with his defensive ball pressure.”

On the team’s offensive struggles…
“I thought we actually got good looks from three. Mikic was ice cold and so was Maurice Creek. I thought in the second half we would make a run, but we never did. We just could not hit an open three. I just think it was that they took Joe [McDonald] out of the game. He is a terrific point guard for us, not the quickest guy in the world, but he was really struggling handling the ball. He had one assist and eight turnovers and I think is assist to turnover ratio is almost four to one. It just was not his night and we do not have another point guard.

On Jevon Thomas…
“Well I figured he had to be pretty good because in his first eligible he played 19 minutes. It just seems like, reading articles and everything, that he is a point guard for the future. What seems like is missing for them – and Will Spradling does a great job and his assist to turnover ratio is awesome, but he is not a true point guard – so that seems like he might be the guy they are missing. I did not know though because we could not really get film on him, that he was that good defensively. He really manhandled us up top. Like I said, we could not even get into our offensive sets. We are not a great one-on-one team so we have to rely on our half court offense, but I have to give him a lot of credit because he was terrific. He did not have a great game offensively, but six assists and no turnovers along with his defensive pressure that does not show up on the stat sheet changed the complexion of the game completely.”

On K-State’s defense…
“I think they guard the three real well and they are smart. They are not the most athletic team that we will play, but Spradling is a really smart player. He will pressure you and he is great at taking charges. Their help side defense is good. Even Gipson we thought got to the basket and laid out for charges and changed our shots. Isaiah [Armwood] was 1-of-7 and part of that is the help defense with what Gipson provided for Kansas State. It is a good culture here. They have a very good defensive coach, and that is why I told our guys that this is not the same team that beat us last year. They are totally different players but they are still going to rebound. Last year we gave up 24 offensive rebounds and today we only gave up 12 today. Still, that physical play really hurt us. That is what their coach does and if [Thomas] is good as they think he is, because they are playing him over Nigel Johnson, then that will be a key for their season. That defense is pretty good. Joe [McDonald] has played some pretty good teams and nobody has taken the ball from him like that.”

wow, that's quite a commentary on thomas!

Question for HFBIQers: what in the eff is going on with our secondary? Obviously Cooper's confidence is shot, and he was a guy that needed to play with absolute certainty to be productive on the field. The safeties though, what's going on? It looks like on about half of the other team's big plays that we aren't providing help over the top, and on the other half the safety flat out blows his assignment and isn't near fast enough to recover. Also, is Eric Berry just a linebacker now? It doesn't seem like I ever see him defending a pass. It might make sense to have our best safety helping out our weakest player on the field (Cooper). Thoughts?

don't have to be a hfbiqer to recognize that most of it relates to the same guys, playing the same way, but for the first time against qbs with a pulse, manning, rivers, manning

8
defense is so overrated.

Hali/Houston tho

you mean the guys who haven't had a sack in weeks?

sucks to play teams with a qb that has a pulse

qbs chiefs have faced this year from game 1 through 11
gabbert/henne
romo
vick
e manning
fitzpatrick (had to double check that one)
prior
keenum
campbell
tuel (had to double check that one)
p manning - loss
rivers - loss

10
LOL at you guys who are calling the Chiefs' season over now.  They are going to beat Denver in KC and still win the division.

^^^^ this - manning got hurt in the game in Denver

11
The Avery drop was because he had to turn his body all the way around to make up for Smith's awful pass.

Also, screw the refs!

yep, definitely the difference in the game :Crybaby:

12
my favorite part was when we were down 10 points with under a minute left and he was still checking the ball down to his runningbacks, and still missed them. i was pissed but man I LOL'd when i saw that.

LOL at last series - well managed by smith
Kansas City Chiefs at 0:55
1st and 10 at KC 20 (Shotgun) A.Smith pass short left to J.Charles to KC 19 for -1 yards (C.Harris).
2nd and 11 at KC 19 (Shotgun) A.Smith pass incomplete deep right to D.McCluster (D.R-Cromartie). PENALTY on KC-D.Stephenson, Ineligible Downfield Pass, 5 yards, enforced at KC 19 - No Play.
2nd and 16 at KC 14 A.Smith pass short left to J.Charles to KC 9 for -5 yards (S.Phillips).
 End of Game
DRIVE TOTALS: KC 17, DEN 27, 3 plays, -11 yards, 0:55 elapsed

13
denver might sweep kc, but who else is going to beat them on their schedule?  indy, maybe?

wouldn't be surpriesed if chiefs lose 3 or 4 of last 6 games actually - denver, indy at home (maybe both); washington, oakland on the road (one or the other); san diego home and on the road (split)

As bad as the end of the game was, the end of the first half was worse. I mean...

And at the end of the game, lots of coaches would have ley the clock run down to 4-5 seconds and called timeout. But honestly, Snyder has rarely been in the situation to kick a game winning FG, so maybe that was part of it.

Glad we won though.

said post game he talked to sean and sean didn't want the time out for cantelle

remember when ron told his team "don't be surprised if you get up big early" before playing texas and then it happened.  :emawkid:  he was psychic or something

also great at time management to coach, teach, recruit, read, take/text selfies, play with his kids, and plow multiple slores all over the country

Looks like Tuck34 is very entertained, while Meow Meow is bored.
Probably shouldn't even respond to Tuck, but I knew Ron for almost a year before I even had dinner with him.
Meow Meow's problem is easy to solve. It's not my job to amuse you, I'm sure you can find another thread.

wow, so you fvcked ranni for a year before he even sprung for dinner; or did you buy dinner too?

how many years did it take for you to figure out he was a scum bag?  maybe the other slores who weren't with him as long, were just quicker on the uptake?

Oh, Tuck34. Cheers.
I don't think the women who let Ranni into their pants are blaming him. Pretty sure they know what he is about when he asks if they would like to have sex with him. Secretly.
If you haven't followed the thread, the blame comes in when he lies to get into another person's life.
In my case, he came out to CA, met my family. My parents and my kids. He met my closest friends and went into their homes, sat at their dinner tables, lied right to all of them about who he was and what his intentions were with me. It's not like he picked me up in a bar for a one night stand.
He convinced me to let my house go in a bad market because he "needed" me.
Just want to make sure you're clear about what you are judging.

right, you're different.  probably didn't even kiss on the first few dates, huh?  not until he promised that he wasn't a scum bag anymore.

"See, I could have me a good girl
And still be addicted to them hoodrats
And I just blame everything on you
At least you know that's what I'm good at"

Sounds like Kim has a consistent taste in men.

Missed this yesterday. CNS may have something here. Has me thinking that Ron may believe that he IS Kanye. Except Ron's addicted to suburban moms and former highschool classmates who think he's a rockstar now. His version of hoodrats...women in Mercedes SUVs with nice things (and a hubby) and no sense of decency. Clubhouse rats.

That's not very rap-friendly. No wonder he's listening to Flatt and Scruggs these days.

how insecure and desperate would some supposedly mature woman have to be to let ranni into her pants?  and then turn around and blame him - lol

I find it incredibly hard to believe that Spracne isn't ugly irl.  I suppose his story could still be thru tho.  They probably realize some really good looking guy isn't going to be down to have sex with a couple of grossies so they don't even bother.  Probably just target guys who would obviously be grateful to be having sex at all.  Makes sense.

I believe I was targeted for my youth.  Very pretty, too.

There are normally bars in any given city that are known as havens for people looking for this.  These also tend to be alternative type of bars which attract a lot of the gay/lesbian types.

Then maybe Ranni found these places in Jax, thus the frequent reports of having couples trying to pick him up. He would often tell me how good looking a couple was, including the guy. Would describe him for me. I thought this was weird. Now I think maybe it was his way of trying to see if I would say, hey, I'd do that guy so you could get with his woman.
It makes no sense why he would find a woman like me who has had two long-term relationships in her life and a couple of shorter ones. All very boring, as in, one man and one woman. And try to drag me into his "lifestyle" without actually telling me that was what he was doing. He finally did find a good match. Indy was willing to get up from her seat next to her husband and go into a public restroom to have sex with Ranni. The mental image of him lumbering into the stall where she is grinning away just makes me want to gouge out my mind's eye.

what do you mean by "long term" and "short term," was ranni one of those or was he a fifth? ie how old are you? :dunno:

Not surprised at all. Of course Ron has convinced the players that he is religious. He is passing himself off (again) as an honorable man. He has done all manner of things so wrong and deplorable that no one would have anything to do with him if they knew. But he will, I am certain, continue to get away with all of this.

He will continue to hit on his player's moms. He will continue to put his hands into the pants of any woman who will hold still for a minute, and he will continue to fake out the head coaches and ADs at any school he works for. That is just who he is.

married women willing to swing/cheat seem to be easy prey?

Dgale I had a thought. Every serial cheater I know is secretly extremely insecure. Need intimacy to bury those feelings. They front like they're intelligent, but listen to them humblebrag about themselves. Self-promote if you will. Meanwhile the real successful people are humble and loyal=LHC LHC Bill Snyder

how many serial cheaters do you know? :horrorsurprise:
