Pick Analysis

Round 5 • Pick 14 (151)

Some media folks were talking up Giddens as a Day 2 possibility, but I never quite saw that. He was a consistent producer for the Jayhawks and has a nice size-speed quotient, but Giddens had trouble hanging onto the ball last season. -- Eric Edholm
Does this idiot get paid for this kind of insight? Aside from the Jayhawks inanity, Giddens was arock with the ball. I only remember the BYU fumble, but may have overlooked others.

Very true.  I might recall a fumble in the Houston game . . .   I think this dork mixed up Neal and Giddens  :dunno:

It does put in perspective that Avery basically just produced the same numbers as a sophomore as Will did as a senior.  If he would connect on a better percentage on his long balls we would view him as a god.

This is going to happen.  AJ just needs to continue on his current trajectory, making better reads / decisions, hit one or two more under / overthrows a game, and eliminate the occasional  wtf play

I think so too, special times has absolutely capsized momentum in a couple games . . . including that punt return in this one

Why did we go for 2 on the prior TD?

The ? is CK strong enough to send Ryely down the road and get someone with experence?

I'd say Riley is calling a pretty creative game today

Had Dylan streaking down the sideline twice with his man beat. Overthrew him twice.

Also missed two easy throws on the first drive and had to settle for a field goal

he hasn't been very accurate

I'll be damned. Now if AJ doesn't give a late pick-six.

Hopefully that was AJ's last wtf moment of the game

There's some optimism that Poitier or Panzer or both, will get their waivers granted

I am liking the Vikings all whites on MNF.  A cats version might be cool.

LOL remember how mad people got about white helmets when we lost in them

LOL

Yep, Cats are like 0-6 in white helmets since 2016.

should start wearing white helmets every game until we win, so it's not a thing anymore

This bowl is a blessing; almost had to play ARKANSAS in Memphis  :horrorsurprise:

this thing may get completely off rails with games vs an undefeated Drake in KC followed by a trip to Wichita vs an 8-1 Shocker team in front of the football first, casual hoops fans.

Definitely.  This may be an exciting season for all the wrong reasons. . .   :bwpopcorn:

Ice cold!

I read this like it was being sung by Outkast in Hey Ya and I sure hope that is how it was intended.

Our defense isn't the problem - isu is averaging under 5 ypp (under 4 ypp on pass attempts!l. Isu's run 70 plays to kstate's 50.

Our offense will bear the burden for this loss (like they have in all of our losses this year)

It's really just the two turnovers setting up short fields that did us in. Which is the offense but they have been productive even they held onto the ball

two turnovers made it hard, but the safety was the death knell
