APNewsBreak: Ex-manager in Kan. race backs rival

TOPEKA, Kan. - A former manager of Kansas Rep. Jerry Moran's campaign for the U.S. Senate publicly endorsed his main rival Sunday, saying Moran is unsure of his beliefs and not "instinctively conservative."
Moran's spokesman said ex-campaign manager Paul Moore is disgruntled and described Moore's open letter to fellow Republicans as a trick from GOP rival and fellow Rep. Todd Tiahrt's campaign.
Moore provided a copy of his letter to The Associated Press and sent it to the Tiahrt campaign. He told AP he wrote it with "entirely no input from any other source."
He was Moran's campaign manager from February through mid-April, though campaign finance records show he remained on the payroll through May. He said he was forced out, without elaborating.
"To my surprise, Jerry Moran winced at the frequent use of the words 'conservative' or 'pro-life' to portray himself out of fear he might offend moderate or pro-choice voters," Moore wrote in his letter.
Moore added: "He ultimately relented to the political realities and has thoroughly advertised himself as 'pro-life' and 'conservative' to describe who he needed to become to get elected."
Moran and Tiahrt have been actively courting GOP conservatives ahead of the state's Aug. 3 primary. Moran's campaign has said repeatedly that Tiahrt's attempts to question whether Moran is a true conservative show Tiahrt is significantly behind.

Cook says the theme of this year's K-State football schedule poster is to focus on the whole atmosphere of a K-State game day.

"Coach (Bill) Snyder likes to feature the team and family, so we have a collage showing the stadium, the fans, fireworks in the background, an image of Ft. Riley Day and Harley Day, Coach Snyder, Willie, and then a couple players," said Cook. "Then during the course of the year we can take elements of the poster and use them on tickets, or a glass, or the inside of the media guide. We try to keep a constant theme throughout the year."

This fall, Cook said that each of the six Wildcat captains will be featured on the programs for the six home games, which he is also responsible for.

Former Wichita East standout Bryce Brown announced he would attend the University of Tennessee on March 16, 2009.
New Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley addressed the status of former Wichita East standout Bryce Brown in one of his first questions at SEC Media Days on Friday.
"You want to start with Bryce Brown?" Dooley said, according to GoVolsExtra.com. "Here's the latest on Bryce, I have not met with Bryce. I'll promise you, I haven't met with him. There's nothing new, which shocks you, I know.
"He was in town, but I did not see him. I think he was coming in when I was leaving. I anticipate us talking before he leaves town. I don't expect -- I feel the same way I felt since the day he left, that he's not a part of our team. The only reason this is dragging is he hasn't ever told me he wanted a release to a certain school, and he's never told me he wants to come back. At some point he's going to have to ask for a release, which I expect will be soon."
Brown played his freshman season at Tennessee in 2009. He left the team in March, but has not officially asked for a release from the school.

Listen, fellas.  This isn't going to get settled online.  We need to get everyone together and decide who's right in the ring like real hard bros.  First clams fights dobbie.  Then wabash fights dobbie.  Then OKCat fights dobbie.  Then dobbie fights rick daris.  Then dobbie fights elltopay.  Then dobbie fights clams.  Once all of these matches are complete the winner will be the one who was right about Bryce.  Then dobbie fights chingon.
The coolest part about this.... I get to kick the crap out of all these dumb shits

does he get to wear his protective helmet during the fights? b/c if so, then i forfeit.
Will this be shown on premium? tia

The high comedy will come from the 8 guys on shockernet if this actually happens.

True. Your "friend" Fever would absolutely lose it.

There is a good chance the Cats will be ranked by ABC before the UCLA game, probably top fifteen. They saw how CBS jumped on the Frank Martin lead KSU Cats basketball team and rode that love fest to tremendous ratings.
Smart money says ABC will try to duplicate that glorious ride with the Kansas State University Cats football squad.

Saw an amazing donkey act in Nuevo Laredo once. Think the trainer's name was Maria.   :fatty:

SCARED TO DEATH that this is the 2010 version of the LaLa game.

I have observed quite a few X&O type posters on the Wabash station project Klien to the be the starter after a couple games....which would only happen if Carson mumped us again, correct?

Adrian Peterson enjoyed lotsa notable, public accomplishments during his decorated Oklahoma football career. But while he was still enrolled at Norman, he authored one virtually unknown feat that some of you may end up cherishing more than his trampling KState.
