I didn't want to say it earlier, but this has last year's Iowa State vibe to it.

I slept through the Isu game but I'm going to disagree
Yeah ISU last year was weird and flukey and we are just getting beat tonight. We still might win but the games are nothing alike.

My real point is that people will always want the backup QB unless you're undefeated and then sometimes people still want the backup

Howard is treated by pretty much everyone as some kind of completely pedestrian cog regardless of what he does.  He's 9 for 9 against Nebraska with beautiful deep 40yd/60yd TD passes to two different guys.  Not a word about his perfect 60yd TD pass - just effusive praise for (admittedly incredible) WR Smith.

Eddie George, hanging out in the booth, said the weakness of Ohio State's offense is that Will Howard needs to stretch the field more (this immediately after his 2nd long TD pass).  Wut?  Isn't their O line pretty terrible?

I don't think Will is the best QB in college FB or anything, but it's wild to see his great execution (aside from the Oregon faceplant) being taken completely for granted.
He was very underappreciated at KSU, too. Heck, Avery is underappreciated here.
We appreciated the heck out of Howard when he won us a Big 12 title. Will do the same when Avery does it obviously.

I mean we wanted him Howard benched at the first sign of trouble after the title and then had people saying Roberson (current) was better than the guy we replaced Howard with

It's pretty interesting for the Republicans to lean into mocking the "Trump is literally Hitler" thing because the only people of consequence who say "Trump is literally Hitler” are Republicans. But I guess it's typical to make themselves out to be a victim of something

Honestly, all the rest of the stuff is tertiary. The endorsements of Dick and Liz Cheney, and others of their ilk should tell you all you need to know.

Trump is the candidate most dangerous the system of empire and perpetual war for profit the US has been involved in for decades. That’s it. That’s all that really matters.

All the rest of the stuff is tertiary, at least to them; the Bushes, Cheneys, Obamas, Clintons, Bidens and others at the top of the military industrial compex pyramid.
How do you explain the democratic socialists also being against Trump? The Bernies, etc.  they don’t seem to benefit from the military industrial complex and appear to similarly oppose it.

The worst people in the world being for Harris/Walz/The Machine doesn’t require me to.

The Cheneys endorsing Harris is a pretty poor rationale for wanting to vote for Trump. In my opinion.

It’s a pretty damn good reason not to vote for Harris.

any candidate you vote for in a presidential election will have some awful people supporting them

I mean, I guess he could disrupt the military industrial complex by starting nuclear war. but that might take a while to really take hold and I would rather that not happen!

did trump do anything to disrupt the system of empire and perpetual war for profit during his previous tenure as president?

There is only one THE Minister of Culture (MOC) at UT, guys.
I think he gave himself the Minister of Culture title back when he sat on (or in extremely close proximity) to the UT bench during the Pullen years.

I believe it's an official job title. Like, in a contract.

It is.

Everyone involved should be so embarrassed for themselves LMAO

I wonder how they will determine “built in America?”

Quote

According to the 2023 **Kogod Made in America Auto Index**, which ranks vehicles based on the percentage of parts sourced from the U.S. and Canada, as well as U.S. labor, research, and development, here are the top 20 "most American-made" cars:

1. **Tesla Model Y** – 100% American-made.
2. **Tesla Model 3** – 100%.
3. **Tesla Model X** – 100%.
4. **Tesla Model S** – 100%.
5. **Lincoln Corsair (PHEV)** – 72%.
6. **Honda Passport** – 70%.
7. **Honda Odyssey** – 70%.
8. **Acura MDX** – 70%.
9. **Acura RDX** – 70%.
10. **Honda Ridgeline** – 70%.
11. **Chevrolet Corvette Stingray** – 65%.
12. **Chevrolet Colorado (Gas)** – 60%.
13. **Chevrolet Camaro (V8)** – 60%.
14. **Ford Bronco** – 60%.
15. **Ford Ranger** – 60%.
16. **Jeep Cherokee** – 60%.
17. **GMC Canyon (Gas)** – 60%.
18. **Jeep Grand Cherokee (2-row, Gas)** – 60%.
19. **Cadillac CT5** – 60%.
20. **Cadillac XT5** – 60%.

These rankings factor in the total economic contribution to the U.S. economy, such as parts sourcing, labor, and research, providing a comprehensive view of "American-made" vehicles.

Pete you gotta be careful with AI, this looks similar but different:

(My bullshit detector went up at the 100% American made claim)

I was just sitting in a park at lunch and was asked to be interviewed by Salem News Channel about the presidential election and declined. I am torn as to whether or not I made the right decision.

While it is definitely touristy and expensive, I think doing the Empire State Building is a great idea. Picking a time it isn't totally overrun is probably a good idea, just after lunch is a good time or first thing in the morning.

Overall, the best things for kids that age is to give them a time block to plan themselves or provide suggestions for and then doing a little subway navigation to get there. Splurge on getting a metro card to swipe in and have them figure out the route and lead the party.

I agree with that, it really gives you a sense of just how massive Manhattan is. The open air busses are good touristy things too.

I'd also be careful with doing too much in a day. Most people aren't used to the amount of walking you'd be doing.

One day I did the hop on/hop off with my parents. My wife tried to roast me for doing the touristy thing, but it really was a great way to get around & see Manhattan.

newsflash for your wife: you were tourists

also I would only use them as transportation for a day. Use the subway after that.
