Made by apple, but mostly it is a small, thin, giant touchscreen with ridiculous battery life.

battery life and touchscreen has been around for a while now. Would you seriously sacrifice so much functionality for a sleek design that is still flawed and will be just run of the mill in months?

I'm not saying I'm in love with it, just why people are.  I was way more excited when I first heard about then when I went to the website and saw it was mostly a giant iphone/ipod touch.  Like others said, if I traveled a lot I would use it to watch movies and surf the web in airports/planes.  Other than that, its a product that would be kinda cool to have but certainly not essential

New 'Clams update - talked to one of my friends who knows the kid.  Said he is a huge D-Bag.  Said he used to date a girl she knows.  The girl was supposedly cute (don't know if this is actually cute or the way girls will say almost any other girl is cute and then they are actually fat and/or ugly).  He would constantly demean her and say she was fat and should lose weight.  She was constantly in tears over this.  She said they were more stories about how he was awful to girls.

Will report back with more when I hear it.

Kauai is the only one I've been to and I would love to go back.  Like Hillwalking said, lots of outdoorsy stuff to do.  I did a kayak/hike to a waterfall that was pretty cool and not too difficult.  There was a boat ride/snorkel of the Na Pali coast that was cool.  My fav was a discovery scuba dive I did there.  It encouraged me to get my scuba license.  Saw giant tortoise and octopus .    within 24 hrs of a flight though because of pressure, so plan accordingly if you want to do it.  Ziplines were booked up when I went over a summer, so those you might have to get in advance.

On the bright side, this should be the first ever K-State message board that has more posts on the basketball board than the football board throughout its existence.

For everyone trying to retain a bit of optimism about K-State's future, how 'bout this scenario?  Our defense sucks under Cosh this fall, enabling us to bring in Venzy as DC and HCIW next year?  I hear he may still have K-State as his #1 scenario as a HC...I guess we may figure out whether the unmentionable sin was committed against the old administration or against a donor.    

I heard against Snyder directly from someone in the football program.  That said, he's not someone I would think would be in a postion to know.

k'naan is a beast live, was on ACL w/ Mos last week.  Also has a live music podcast that is phenomenal from NPR.

I've been digging Avett Brothers and Passion Pit as of late.  Rusty, please dont mock my music taste too hard.
