Here to stay. They waited to bring them back to make sure they had enough distributors for the chx and the buns so that they wouldn't run out again. The bigger problem is that a lot of these workers at Popeyes are having to work without a break to keep up with the lines.

I went to a Popeyes Sunday and there weren't a ton of people there but there was a sign that said 40 minute to hour wait but I saw a shitload of chicken ready so I thought it would be quick if I ordered and when I got to the counter to order I saw there were a massive backlog of online orders keeping everyone busy and the wait was really like 40 minutes at 3pm so I got the eff out of there and went to Chipotle.Are these things here for good or for a limited time?

I went to Popeyes at the Nashville airport and they were out of sandwiches but I love Popeyes so nbd. Anyway I was eating it at my gate and this white lady was talking to her coworker described going to Popeyes at peak sandwich as a "cultural experience" because most of the customers were black.

I had popeyes at the ATL airport the other day! spicy chicken strips, biscuit, rice. I actually ordered cajun fries but they gave me cajun rice or whatever. I hadn't gotten a fork and took it pretty far away to eat it so I just had to throw the rice away. very sad and very unfair. chicken strips were 5 stars tho.
I am currently at ATL airport preparing to chow down on some Bojangles fried chicken with a side of dirty rice! :fatty:

kids have swimming lessons. chick-fil-a is across the parking lot. we almost always grab it for dinner after swimming lessons because my kids love their nugs. THERE'S A TWIST! mid way through watching them swim around like dolphins mrs. dave mentions she needs to fill her car with gas on the way home. I'm a gentleman (and hate getting the kids dressed after swimming lessons) so I volunteer to switch her vehicles and fill hers with gas. she's deep into the chick-fil-a drivethrough when she realizes her purse is in her car which I'm driving. SHE'S TRAPPED IN THE LINE! has to go all the way through and fess up to having zero money. they give it to her for free because they are nice people and always do nice stuff. we get home and send them a check in the mail for it. 5 days later we get a letter from them. Inside: Our non-cashed check, hand written letter from the manager thanking us for our business, and 6(!!) gift cards for free chicken sandwiches.

I also tried the red beans and rice, the only side I've ever eaten there was the mashed potatoes, those red beans and rice were amazing, I'll probably alternate my side choices from now on.

The problem w Popeyes is that it’s very slow and often very busy. Luckily the Salina store is never busy when I pull up.
Sandwich is always crispy, huge chunk of breast meat. The spicy sauce is wonderful.

CFA and Wendy’s are still top tier for me. I tried Popeye’s offering once and it was inoffensive but I’ve never had the desire to try it again.I’m mostly in the same boat. Love Popeye’s spicy fried chicken and other offerings, but their sandwich was underwhelming. Chick-fil-a is so consistently good it’s really not debatable for me.

I only had the Popeye's one once, but the quality of the chicken was on another level. Like, super tasty actual fresh fried chicken but a sandwich. Wendy's is really good when it's good, but still a frozen patty that does not touch Popeye's. CFA is always super mid for me.

The only way to avoid ridiculous lines and terribly slow service is to avoid lunch and dinner rush. 2-5 pm is prime popeyes time. Unless it's salina kansas at the petro off I-70. They're never busy.
