Given:
While a sophomore in high school and working as a Sandwich Artist :gocho: I gave away free sandwiches to large senior boys so they would have my back. Worked out well.
Another time while selling Cinnamon Roasted Almonds at the mall in Topeka, I gave Jarrod Cooper a free bag if he would sign an autograph for me. (This was after JC left K-State).
Received:
One time a girl at the Topeka Dillards let me keep the super nice wooden hanger that my Polo shirt was hanging on. :surprised:

And what did YOU do for her? :fatty:

A free tank of gas from Steve Miller the former track coach and AD at K-State for when I went and picked up a famous K-State athlete at MCI.
I personally witnessed multiple K-State athletes use K-State athletic department phones in an improper manner. Conrad Colbert then assistant AD at K-State went on real witch hunt when they got the telephone bill. I believe athletes in question had to reimburse the athletic department for their calls.
I witnessed multiple K-State athletes get like $3 more from K-State coaches than the allowable daily NCAA per Diem for meals. I believe these athletes used said windfall to buy additional food stuffs at McDonald's.
I have sat in the parking lot of the Bud Wilkerson Athletic Dormitory at the University of Oklahoma and witnessed University of Oklahoma football players ingress and egress the parking lot in what appeared to be a veritable potpourri if impermissible benefits while wearing clothing that appeared to be of a highly "extra benefit" nature.

Great topic! I have gotten so much free stuff over the years from friends working places it is scary!
My favorite though was getting free subway sandwiches from a high school cuz I would buy him beer.
I also used to get free CDs from multiple sources in the 90's before security is as strong as it is.
-
I used to not let Michael Smith into the bar on weekends but he's a coach and not a player and that would be the opposite of a benefit anyway...benefit to everyone else I guess.

My ex GF gave free poon to half the FB team while she attended OU.

Given:
Made sweet sweet love with the girl of my dreams. :emawkid:
Received:
Burning senstiations through my entire body when I pee. (See Given) :ck:
-
A friend of mine paid for Mike Beasley's Swisher Sweets at Dara's one time. :surprised:
-
Buddy and I used to rip Dillards off constantly. He worked there, I played pick up.
Used to hook up anyone who would ask.
-
Tyler Hughes was my lab partner in KIN220 frosh year. I did 100% of the work.

Did this include the 3 year test drive Adrian Peterson had on that 7 series?

No, this was in the days of Brian Bosworth and OU football players on the cover of SI in Orange Jumpsuits.

It's a given over in Lawrence, you should have seen the rides they were handing out when Ted Owens was there. There's a reason the guy was an all world recruiter, but couldn't coach for $hit.
-
I gave Jason Bennett a coke at our tailgate before a football game when he was a freshman. He did NOT pay for it.
I'd be willing to speak with the NCCA about this.

But his shot block record! :ck:
-
Worked at Jimmy Johns in Aggieville and a very drunk Brandon Archer offered to autograph any K-State posters we had in store. I guess you could say an athlete offered impermissible Benefits
-
Given: Free cups of water on hot days
Received: Free fountain drink refills.
-
a hooker once game me the GFE for the price of a handjob.
-
In college I worked in the video department at Dillon's. I told Mitch Running I would waive all of his late fees (about $30 or so) if he scored a touchdown in the next game. Can't remember which game it was, but he did score a TD.
-
I used to work at the KC Nut Co in Oak Park Mall. I used to give hot girls more than one sample.
-
Used to not charge Jonathan Beasley for print jobs in the Calvin Computer Lab. Also didn't charge attractive females either, so not sure if it counts anymore.
Gave mark simoneau a beer once at woodway. no way I was sharing with anyone that didn't kick ass every weekend.

So lemme get this straight, you let attractive girls sample at least 2 of your nuts? Bravo, sir.
-
I bought Chris Harper a car, and became a KSU donor... NCAA sanctions pending.

I remember I posted back on ksufans that I gave Beasley a discount at Hat World in the manhattan mall since he autographed a hat for me. I think sys or waks pm'ed me and told me that I should take the post down IMMEDIATELY since it screamed impermissible benefit. I didn't take it down tho :emawkid:
-
Used to date a girl that worked at TJMaxx in Topeka. Went in bought a pair of jeans, she threw in 3 Polo shirts and a sweet leather jacket that I gave to my mom for Xmas.
-
Bartending. Gave out free drinks to pretty much any athlete I recognized. Past/present/future
:bartender:

I used to allow a certain running back from KSU to stay (read eff) at my house in KC on the weekends (did not charge him) during the offseason. One of his friends (and a former KSU player) went "shopping" in my closet when I was out of town...I did not bring charges :gocho: Bought lots of drinks for KSU athletes spending the weekends in KC...many were very appreciative....Michael Smith was not.
While attending the University of Arkansas I saw more violations than I could count, not the least of which was Lee Mayberry (he rode the bus all through high school...father was the janitor) driving a brand new Corvette convertible his first year of school. Basketball players rode brand new matching scooters for a year after going to the final four. Local prosecutor donated his daughter to the football and basketball teams for a gang rape...never prosecuted and athletes never missed a game.
-
I also worked at the Jimmy Johns in Aggieville. Jason Bennett would come in and buy two Gargantuans roughly 4 times per week. When he would walk out, I would yell "watch your head!"
I self-reported the incident at the time; Bennett is currently appealing.

Weird post.

Given: Used to wash dishes and bus tables at Perkins Restaurant. We could only keep pies for 48 hours after they were made before we had to throw them out. They used to be cool and let me just take them home when I closed the restaurant, but then we got a new manager who said we had to throw them in the garbage. NO problem, I parked by the dumpster and snuck them into my back seat when it was time to "throw the pies away." Would usually come home with 3 full pies on a good night. :gocho:
Received: In high school, a good friend worked his way up to assistant manager at Dominos Pizza. Could call in and order whatever pizza or toppings we wanted and just go pick it up without paying. In hindsight, we didn't utilize this as much as we should have. Also, lived in the dorms with a guy who worked at Dara's. Free fountain drinks and he'd bring all the leftover pastries at the end of his shifts.

When I worked at Enron in Houston, TX, my friend Ken and I took a few bucks here and there, and then shifted the debt to other subsidiaries, elevating the stock price so when we sold our stock, we made some nice scratch. Not a huge deal, but we felt like it was a sweet perk.

Yeah, getting free stuff from hookers is harder and more rewarding than that.
