If you want Richt you are a rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).Yes, who would want a BCS winning coach with a winning record in the SEC?
We already got rid of one coach who couldn't beat his rivals.
Richt can't do crap with about as much talent as anyone in the country. He wouldn't be able to do crap with the talent he could bring to MHK, either.I suppose you think Mack Brown is a bad coach too.

Mack finally won a MNC to get that monkey of his back and his team played for another one last year. Richt is going to be fired after this season.

I guess I would take him
he is 7 and 2 in bowl games (2 and 1 in bcs bowls), won the sec twice, sec coach of the year twice.
there are other people out there and i doubt it would happen but we would be lucky to get him

Obviously, he can win some games. But, if we were in the running for a big name like that, I think there are other big names out there that would be better suited to winning at K-State.

Yeah, and with all that talent he has brought in, he's still going to get fired. Dude won't be bringing that type of talent to MHK, I can assure you of that. What will he do with recruiting classes in the 30s or 40s? Not be able to win enough games to keep from getting fired?

From 2002-2009 the guy has averaged 10 wins a season in the toughest conference out there.
Would he win us a NC? Probably not.
Would he be a good coach? It's hard to argue he wouldn't be.

Once again, he won't be bringing in top 10 classes to MHK. He had, arguably, as much talent as any team in the country on any given year, so he should be winning 10 games a year.

The SEC east is UF, UK, UTenn, USC, Vandy, and Georgia. Florida is the only tough team they play every year. You're kidding yourself if you think that the SEC is light years above the Big 12.

Your complaint has been registered.....
You're ombudsman? A neutral source to voice our complaints about this site? Awesome. I have a complaint to make about one of the admins of this site, Chingon. He uses stats that nobody cares about and makes dumbass threads like this:

Thanks for addressing my concerns.
Hi, Ombudsman? I want to make a complaint about the Ombudsman, Chingon. He dismisses complaints about him even though he's supposed to be Ombudsman, a position meant to address our complaints. Please address my complaint, thank you. Thanks for your concerns!
:facepalm:omg you so burrrrrned me. Congrats the guy you want just got punched out by pac 101112's equivalent of a drunken sorostitute.

Yeah, the Brown can't coach thing is stupid. Their expectations are too high, it seems.eff YOU WILLIEWANNABE
Also, Chingon does not take criticism well. :ohno:
Mark Richt looks like he could be cast in a movie as a really suave bad guy...would love it more if he spoke like Patrick Warburton.YES!

Man, that is just plain Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).This thread just proves that jtksu and ednksu are Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). Richt would be a home run hire. He won the SEC twice while coaching at one of the harder schools to win at in the SEC.were you born with rough ridin' water on the brain? I'm really not joking. if you were I would like to donate money to a medical fund for you.
Georgia has the 3rd best overall record in SEC history, behind Bama and UTenn. Not sure how anyone could try to argue that Georgia is one of the harder places for a coach to win at in the SEC.
So, 3rd best overall record and tied for the 4th most NCs? And that makes it one of the hardest places to coach?
Oh- Adding that "compared to the expectations of their fans" exception was beyond sad.
Not sure how you got a 15% increase, cause it's a 10% increase. Before Richt took over, Georgia was 640-358-54. (.641). Richt is 91-31 at Georgia. (.746). Plus, Richt has had the benefit of an extra non-conference game every year. You take away one gimme game every year and his winning percentage would actually be right around Georgia's alltime percentage of .646. So, Richt is doing basically exactly what every other coach at Georgia has done. Also- Georgia has won 5 NCs and has received the 6th most bowl bids in the NCAA. I would love to hear your spin on how Richt is doing so well at a place that is "one of the harder places to win in the SEC."
I would much rather have GP than Richt - IMO I can see Richt as the FB version of Huggie; come in and leave in a yr or two (but w/out the sexy asst coach replacement that we got in Frank Martin ) I think we all can agree that KSU is a place that a coach wants to relocate to and wants to coach at. GP and his wife have strong family ties in KS and could be looked at as wanting to coach here. Further, if it weren't fo Fitz, we prolly wouldn't be having this convo.
On the can't recruit top flight classes to MHK, we haven't had a good recruiter here, so I'm not 100% on board with that. I submit Morgantown, WV - $H!THOLE of a town - yet Rich Rod and Bill the huckleberry have had success at recruiting there.

Yeah, I'd prefer GP over Richt. I'd still take Richt in a heartbeat, though.
YES NOW IS THE TIME TO STRIKE!
