i’m going to say ku 92  cats 37

the good news is that we don’t stand a chance so i won’t get angry when svi mykhailiuk’s replacement picks his dribble up at half court and walks the rest of his way to the bucket

Cats don't get a field goal before the under 16.
Down by double digits for most of the first game.
Cut in to single digits with 10 minutes to go.
Hawks with a 20-3 run to slam the door in our faces.

I'm just hoping this exercise in bitch slapping isn't as bad as it could be when you match up a team with all the pieces + extras against a team with missing pieces.  Why KU is only -4.5 in this game is beyond me.

Home court advantage is generally real in b12 hoops. In this case it may just be perception, but maybe not.

i definitely want to farm it, but I usually lose on the ones like this that are a no brainer so idk but yeah we should be a +10 dog at least

It's a weird feeling when you're ecstatic about 6 turnovers in a half...

So far, our defensive rebounding has been really, really good (KU with only 2 OR in first half).

Hopefully we can keep that up

I think this team could lose out and still be at worst 3rd on the list.

We lost 4 in a row now.
We just lost to the worst team in the conference.
KU just beat Huston’s ass by 12.

You know what that means.

We are going to beat KU tomorrow.

We will have an inexplicable run in the second half to be up by double digits, ku pulls it back and takes it to OT. We don't lose in OT.

We muff a punt to lose…..awful loss in both sports.

Self is pissed in the postgame interview. Called out some bad calls, one on KM's free throw that they entered the lane before his shot and HD's halo foul on the baseline trap. Called out a few lucky plays on the KSU airball putbacks. You can tell he hates losing to the grapes. Curse words used about missing free throws.

THEN PREPARE THE TEAM AND QUIT F()CKING LOSING TO THE GRAPES!!!! Poon had his rec league bottom feeders ready to play.

Rec League Bottom Feeders?  Look I get we grind and can be ugly.

But we choked away a win at TT and it was a 1-2 point game in Ames until the weak AF T on Tang.

I look at that KU roster and once you get past about 3 guys, it’s not all that impressive.

Can't stand him and look forward to him being gone along with dickenson tbh. Least likeable team I can recall in my time as a fan but maybe that is somewhat to do with the transfer portal and new comps every single year.

the problem that ku fan has, and I said this in our football game thread as well, is that they’ve chosen to ignore on the field results, their losses, and they truly think that they have closed the gap in football.  that leads to the heartbreak we saw in them the last few years.  the gap between programs is still several miles wide, but JALON DANIELS!

when it comes to basketball, they again ignore the on court results, they ignore our wins and continue to believe that they’re miles ahead of us and everyone else.  for us to win, they must l not have been prepared.

what a tough corner they’ve painted themselves into.

It was a fun game. You guys had us 62-60 right before EOR and I told my son that if we lose, that’s cool, because it was a fun game. I know dominance is KU’s yardstick, but I think last night is what we should both want. Not in who wins, but in quality and intrigue.

I felt the same. I was pretty calm the whole game outside of the last minute or so. I even lol'd a couple times when we had the lead and then the next 2 possessions just handed them the ball for layups. Especially the pass or whatever the hell it was the rocketed off the backboard.

I don't follow KU or shoot hoopies that much outside of the Cats, but i'd bet some internet dollars that very few if any KU teams the past 10 or so years lose that game.

By gawd this blog is old now....14 years ago we were writing fake doc sadler obits for free tickets.

Kenneth "Doc" Sadler passed away last Saturday at the age of 58 after a long battle with recruiting. Doc lived in Jonesboro where he has been an assistant coach at Arkansas State for the past 3 seasons.

Doc was born on June 12th 1960 to Charles Sadler and a two bit street walker. Charles raised Doc by himself saying "My kid will learn to do things the right way. The only way to make sure no corners will be cut is if I raise him myself". Doc earned a degree in Phsyical Education from the University of Arkansas. While at Arkansas Doc served as a team manager for LHC Eddie Sutton. Doc could often be seen the night before game day scouring all the watering holes in Fayetville trying to find out where Eddie and his degenerate son Sean had holed up for the night. When reached for comment about Doc's sudden death Sean Sutton said "This doesnt count as my one phone call does it"

Doc spent 10+ years working his way up through the coaching ranks before getting his big break. Billy Gilepsie hired Doc as an assitant coach/DD on a referral from Eddie Sutton. After Gilepsie left Doc guided the Miners to a NCAA tournament and the First of his many NIT berths before leaving for Nebraska and the Big12 conference.

Doc coached at Nebraska for 12 years reaching 7 NIT's. Doc embraced the "Solid Long Term Hire" strategy and lifted it to new heights with his strategy of recruiting borderline Division 1 prospects and redshirting them. His pinnacle of success came in 2017 when his Huskers won the National Invitational Tournament. When asked why he turned down an opportunity to participate in the more prestigious NCAA tournament Doc said "I'm building a program here! We dont cut corners! Some of these kids have been with me for 6 years, all they know is the NIT. Plus we are bound to play more games in the NIT than the NCAA. Thats how you build a program, by practicing more than everyone else!" In his last fits with dementia Nebraska Chancellor Tom Osbourne inexplicably fired Doc in 2019 saying "I like doc,doc doc doc, (incoherent ramblings), PPOOOOOOOPPPPPYYYYY".

Doc is predeceased by his wife Tonya, second wife Tashanda, and third wife Tonka. He leaves behind 6 children, Effort age 23, Determination age 20, Princess Girl age 16, Grinder age 12, Princess Girl 2 age 10, and his youngest son Redshirt age 3.
