We worked on every Club Car Wash in the Wichita and Oklahoma City area (there are a bunch of them).  I bought a membership once we had the first one up and running.  They are great and seem to do a better job than any of the others in the area.

$20 for a car wash is too much but $30 for unlimited car washes (that I use once a month) is right up my ally

Does anyone actually return those Club Car Wash microfiber towels when you're done using them?  I have enough of those things out in my garage to make a bedspread and matching curtains.

Yup. Between March-October it’s hit the car wash every Friday at lunch & do a quick vacuum.

I have a carwash membership and I think I'm an addict. I go every day the temperature outside is over 25 degrees. I can't wait until it warms up so I can use the free vacuum and cleaning spays and towels.

The farther north you live, the better for your car it is, with all the road treatments.  Just for fun, get on Facebook marketplace and search for pickup trucks in the Walker, MN area under $15K....I challenge you to find one without rust!

At the Leawood Waterway the car wash dudes will open the doors and give those a good wipe down.

There is a touchless one in Wichita called zips, that has a few locations, but it isn’t as cool or hip as Charlie’s or Club Car Wash or Tommy’s. I’m a member of both Charlie’s and Club Car Wash. Both are a wonderful experience, but Charlie’s has the edge on the free tire shine. I go as much as possible.

Nice. My car isn't supposed to go through non touchless. I know people do it, but i'm a rule follower. I normally just hit the wonder wand place next to Joes and dry myself. I actually like doing it in the summer, but winter sucks ass.

Can you set them to stay down when you go to the car wash? Our Expedition has a setting to have them permanently stay down.

There are definitely conveyor style carwashes that are touchless and they are infuriating because they don't clean worth a damn. Before Ames built a real carwash, I had to go to Des Moines to actually get my white SUV clean.

I'm not joking at all when I say that it irl goes faster and performs better when it's clean.

it’s because the dirt reduces the aerodynamic properties of your suv (that is the size of nebraska),

So I use the wonder wand and towel dry myself most washes. Can we talk wonder wand car wash etiquette? The one I use has the vacuums before the wash which is a stupid setup. Say you are the 3rd car. One in, one behind at vacuums, then you. If you are still vacuuming, shouldn't you offer the guy behind to jump in since the bay is open? I think so, but it never happens. There prob isn't room to squeeze in, but you could drive around and back in. I'm also of the opinion that taking your time at these types of washes is a dick move. I'm in and out in a few minutes. You are literally spraying your car, it shouldn't take long and it won't get much cleaner the more you spray.

Cruising at highway speeds thru the rain w/ the RainEx dping work so the wipers don’t have to is quite satisfying.

This thread reminds me of when I was a teenager there was like this one remaining car wash in town where the coin box was surface mounted instead of recessed into the wall and my friends and I figured out that the magnets on the back side of car speakers were strong enough that of you put those magnets on both sides of the box and move them up and down a few times and BAM! free car wash.

I would have posted in the tell on yourself for doing crimes thread but I just checked and the statute of limitations had run out on car wash theft, so, suck my butt, feds!

We had a guy at work who would wipe down his car after it rained.  People at work would watch out the office windows and crack jokes.  There was always someone who would tell him as he came in that he "missed a spot".

That was the weird/funny part of his just-rained wipe-down.  Sometimes there wasn't enough rain to wash the mud off.
