Who are you cheering for, and why?
Any boycotting billies?
Fun prop bets?
Let's get into it man.

Patriots by a thousand

I don’t care for Sean Mcvay or teams that move. Go Pats
-
I will watch it, but I have no expectations other than I will probably only be moderately entertained.
-
What everyone's snax sitch?
-
Football is a silly game, I don't know why anyone would waste their time and hard earned money watching it

He makes a good point, as does CF3. Stan Kroenke is gross. Didn't expect a time to come where the Patriots were the less despised team.
-
Go rams but I probably won't watch any of it unless it's close at the end then maybe I will I dunno
-
go the motherfucking rams, go.
-
The Rams were in LA from 1945 until 1995. They went back home.
I'll always root against the dynasty team. Give someone else a chance!
My snacks are unimpressive this year. Just lazy I guess. Chips, dips, frozen jalapeno poppers.
-
I just learned that the local animal shelter where I got my jackass dog always has a dog or two in Puppy Bowl.
-
Are we pretending St Louis is a great City now)

AFAIK Kroenke isn't a public trump lover, which matters.
-
So far, the Rams aren't getting torched by Edelman like the Chiefs were.
-
i don't like it when the patriots convert third and longs. or when the rams are called for bullshit penalties.
-

Hard to take anyone seriously who feigns outrage over someone moving their franchise away from St Louis.
-

stopping them on third and long is better.
-
lol, get a greg the leg, dumbass maga patriots.
-
unfortunately, it appears the rams are going to have to score the ball if they're gonna win this game.
-
Haha. eff off, team MAGA.
-
Also, eff off corn syrup farmers.

i would have thought that you would just use corn instead of liquefied corn. they don't use barley syrup, do they?

Is this the thread for ad critiques?
I enjoyed the BL Corn Syrup ad.
I thought the BL / GOT mashup was amazing.
I don’t think I’ve seen anything particularly “woke” yet. Maybe the new promo for Handmaid’s Tale set to the Reagan Morning in America ad? Yeah - eff you Ronald Reagan! Showed him.
There was the Tony (Toni?) Harris ad that was most notable because I and 99.99% of America have never heard of that chick.
Maroon 5. We’ll theyre clearly not lip syncing.
-
The Serena bumble ad was wonderful
-
the thing is, our defense is doing really well, but our offense is doing very poorly.
-
we were doing a little better before.

the rough ridin' refs, man.
-
well this is bad.
-
The Chiefs should tweet an apology to the nation for this POS SB.
-
that was a disappointing end to the only drive of the game.
-
Hopefully modern medical science can’t keep belichek alive for more than a few more years.
-
this is funny, which is good because it is very sad that the rams are losing this game.

-
they need to make the field goal target smaller.
-
they didn't need to do that to greg the leg. unforgivable.
-
Enjoy your CTE, Patriots.
-
SYS acting like he gives s eff about the rams is something else.

Love this. Go Pats!

The Greatest Living American does it again, folks. Wow!

Good things happen to good people, way to go Bob Bill and Tommy

Did not watch a single down of the Super Bowl. Social media keeps telling me it sucked, including the halftime show, and that I am a better person for not wasting 4 hrs of my life.
-
halftime was legit bad not just hur hur old people hate halftime bad
-
I really do not enjoy NFL games as sporting events. Watching the Super Bowl is much more of a pop culture thing to me. By that standard, it was just okay. Even more bland and uneventful than usual.
-
would have enjoyed a big boi-only halftime
-
I kept saying during the Chiefs/Patriots game that the NFL really needed the Chiefs to win to set up the future. Early numbers are showing it was the lowest viewed Super Bowl since 2009 (Steelers vs Cardinals). People are tired of seeing the Patriots in it, and the officiating controversy two weeks ago turned a lot of people off.
The NFL needs Brady to retire or completely fail if he comes back.
Marie Kondo to NFL - "Does low ratings bring you joy?"
NFL - "No"
MK - "Then get rid of Brady and Belichick"
-
Ignore mocat’s stupid takes, the halftime show was fine.

Would have been much better with Chiefs/Saints and because I would have been in the ATL
-

agreed, I don't understand how Adam Levine is a thing. I pretty much get why most SB halftime shows are chosen (even if RHCP was old and kinda boring)

The game was very disappointing because overall, the NFL playoff games were fantastic this year. Eagles/Bears, Seahawks/Cowboys, Eagles/Saints, Chiefs/Patriots, Saints/Rams were all very good games. Sucks that the Super Bowl was such a turd.
-
Are we pretending St Louis is a great City now)
No, but I am of the belief that pro-sports teams should feel more civic responsibility and commitment to their city than other businesses, and more commitment than they do. Sprint being in KC isn't like the Royals being in KC, there's no civic emotion attached to them. So when teams bail on cities in money grabs (Chargers, Rams, Raiders) I think its very unfair to those towns. Teams should feel that even though their ownership is private, the public "owns" the team too, and I don't like this last round of relocation.
Its somewhat similar to Nebraska and Missouri bailing on the Big XII. Not quite the same but I'll always root against teams that bail on cities/conferences.
-
Cf3 cares more about the rams leaving than st louis does
-
cities shouldn't give sports teams any money

cities shouldn't give sports teams any money
I agree. Have you ever seen this segment from John Oliver? If not, worth watching.

cities shouldn't give sports teams any money
I agree with this. But teams shouldn't hold cities hostage for stadium deals the way the Raiders, Rams, and Chargers have.

It would be interesting to incorporate a relocation fee where {insert team's owner} has to give {insert team's current city} a certain amount of money if they choose to leave. I.E. Stan Kroenke would have been required to give $100m to the city of St. Louis for moving the team to LA. I'm sure this isn't enforceable except through the NFL itself.
-
The nfl already has a relocation fee but it goes to the other teams

When the city bends over to give the team stadium money, they typically have leases with buyout figures in them similar to this. The NFL would have no interest in anything preventing them from bending the city over though.
The federal government could probably make something happen by threatening their monopoly status. That could piss off a lot of rich people and loyal fanbases though.

I’m going to enjoy the SB a lot more this year.
