If you are not thoughtful with your response I will be reporting you to a moderator.
-
Well, like, they're still playing some games, yet. Trick question.
-
Hey AJ, CF3 here. I'll try my best to be thoughtful. I think OU really has the best team. They have more size, rebounding ability, and can score with the high flying teams in the league. Their toughest road games are behind them and they're already in 1st. If they can go undefeated at home, I thing they win the league.

^ pretty thoughtful response if i do say so myself

Nearly impossible to ever pick against Kansas but if you're going to, this is the year. Agree with Cfor3 that the schedule makers didn't do OU favors up front but they are through the worst of it. 8-10 for the 'cats with wins against KU and Texas gets us on the bubble!

60% OU
I believe OU is the best team, the best player in the league, and has the most favorable schedule the rest of the way. Lon has his team playing decent defense as well.
18% KU
KU isn't just losing on the road, they are losing badly. They will lose at least 2 more and probably 3 unless Self pulls off a coaching miracle. (which is possible)
12% ISU
ISU already has a home loss to Baylor and losing Long was a big hit to their depth. That will catch up with them.
8% WVU
Huggs has WVU playing well, but they already have the home loss to Texas. Coaching is carrying them and they are probably the least talented of the Big 12's upper tier. They will lose some more games they shouldn't and won't have enough to win the league.
2% Baylor
Baylor will still lose (and win) games they aren't expected to; its what Drew teams do. Not consistent enough to win the league, but they are a good team.
-
BOLD PREDICTION: Everyone will lose at least two more games.
-
until ku loses at home, it's them.
what if ou goes undefeated at home tho
that would change things but i'm not convinced that they will
-
When WVU was up to #6, Huggs was talking about how his team has to oboard and pressure to get more shots than the opposing team because they can't shoot. I usually would chalk some of that up to Huggs coach-speak but that is absolutely true with his team. Tough to consistently win when they are poor shooters.
-
I'll bet Ms. Wacky's wedding bands that KU doesn't win it.
-
until ku loses at home, it's them.
That's lazy.
-
I believe that OU has the best opportunity to unseat KU as the conference champions this year. They have the most impressive player so far, and I think that will continue to be the case.
If not OU, then I believe KU shares it with them or Baylor.
-
until ku loses at home, it's them.
That's lazy.
also probably correct!

I thought you would have moved out of the denial stage by now?

I don't see KU losing at home to anyone and I don't see anyone else running the table at their place.

I don't see KU losing at home to anyone and I don't see anyone else running the table at their place.
exactly. ku sits at 5-3, they won't lose at home, and their remaining road schedule is:
@TCU
@OU
@K-State
@Baylor
@Texas
I say they lose two of those.
OU is 5-2 with this remaining schedule:
TTU
TCU
@K-State
Texas
KU
@TTU
@WVU
OSU
@Texas
Baylor
@TCU
they're losing at least 3 of those games.
thus, ku wins (at least a share of) the big 12 reg season.
-
'tater, I will bet you Puni's new car that KU doesn't get a piece of the title this year.

Who do you see OU losing to in that list? I can see @WVU and home against KU as a potential loss (if KU rights the road ship) but who else? @Texas maybe?
-
My guess is we'll do our part to ensure ku shares the title by beating someone who has the chance to take it from them. Example, we will give ou a loss thus giving them an unexpected loss. We do that every year.

@WVU, @Texas, KU. if they win one of those three then an upset from the field.

Who is the other idiot besides Renocat that voted EMAW?

What size does Ms. Wacky wear? I need size 7 hope that works for you .....12straight !!! :billdance:

So how much do the sqwawks devalue the streak with each additional title? It's abundantly clear to anyone now no one else in the bottom feeding league gives a eff about basketball or winning the conference.

it's not a coincidence that no non-ku big 12 team has made a final four since osu in 2004.
they've dominated an incredibly overrated conference.
-
I loved this tweet last night.
If KU would have won the Big 12 in 2004, the streak would be 14.

Who else voted for the 'Eers?

I did
