...retire Bo Ryan or Steve Spurrier-style mid-season (or even before mid season) to get Sean at least half a season as HC?

The problem is I'm not sure Sean getting the interim would be a given like it was for Gard at Wisconsin. I think Currie would make it Dimel

Bill would just no-show the Tuesday presser and send Sean out w/an intro that Dad's under the weather and is taking at least this week off and has left me in charge.

it would be more steve kerr luke walton style.  Has surgery but doesn't resign, sean fills in.  Sean wins the equivalent of 20+ straight NBA games.
