Title: can you eat?
Post by: pissclams on December 15, 2015, 06:45:30 PM
a whole slab of ribs (spare) w/o feeling sick?
a whole slab or ribs (baby back) w/o feeling sick & gross?

something to consider ->  too much pork loads you up on sodium.

tough question because i assume anyone here could do both if they had a gun held to their head.
although there's a few posters here who i KNOW could not do it.  let's use this thread to flush them out.

i just got back from houston's where i housed an entire slab + FULLY loaded baked potato and a bunch of large waters, wut?
give me dap and let's talk rib appetites.

Whole container of belfonte 4% cottage cheese.  No problem.  That's like 3 cups of highly delish cottage cheese, you guys.

4 hot ham and cheese sandwiches and an order of fries from Hardee's?
I have done this. Probably too much cheese and salt to be healthy.

Could easily polish off a slab and a potato. I just turned 21, so I would drink some Bud Lite Limes when I ate it.

Cottage Cheese: There are lots of different sizes of containers, but probably yes if I really wanted to.

My Canadian friend once ate a plate of spaghetti and 15 pieces of pizza at the Godfathers buffet. He was really disappointed when his friends said it was time to go. It may have been his first time haf.

I do like it so I would enjoy it unless it was an industrial size container.

slab ribs (back)
slab ribs (spare)
large pizza from pj's (1 topping)
10.5 oz doritos - nacho cheese
4 hot ham and cheese sandwiches and an order of fries from Hardee's <--PUD CHALLENGE LMAO
the cottage cheese doesn't count as i've found with a few brief google searches that it's mostly liquid

In my fatter days some of my go to meals would be an extra large papa johns and cinnapie as one meal. That was about my max stomach capacity though. Also would get the pizza hut $10 box - medium pan pizza, cinnamon sticks, cheese sticks.

I'm much skinnier now, I can't even approach the glory days.

i once at 12 taco hut tacos. i think i could eat twenty corn shell tacos or so if i had to but couldn't eat more than like three slices of p johns pizzas. i think i'm carb intolerant. tacos do nothing to me though, they're like eating a tic tac(o).

OT, but do you guys somehow ever make a great part of a post like my "tic tac(o)" part of the last post by me and then go man, that was great. i should now just hang it up for the day, go play the back nine and then pound some brews. cause that's kind of how i felt after i did that.

i think it would be great
i don't see why we wouldn't host a good old fashioned eat off at ff16
could do a pizza division, a wing division, and finally a cottage cheese division for CNS/Mrs Gooch

List of things I have eaten in full at some point in my life:

Pack of double stuff oreos
Bag of Art & Mary's chips (both Salt and Vinegar and Jalapeno, different sittings)
Large cream cheese pepperoni pizzas from pizza shuttle (multiple occasions)
2 burritos from panchos (one chorizo, one chicken)
Slab of oklahoma joes ribs (plus fries)
Large pizza from Grinders (the one with tandoori chicken)
6 wings, a triple blt with egg and fries from The Peanut

There is probably more.

HOW THE FREE 72OZ STEAK DINNER LEGEND WAS BORN…

Many have tried. Many have failed.

Soon after the original Route 66 Big Texan open it’s doors in 1960, owner Bob (RJ) Lee was amazed at how many REAL Texas Cowboys, were coming in for his HUGE TEXAS SIZE STEAKS, that his menu offered. He also saw how much fun his out of town patrons & visitors were having watching these true Texans trying to “out do” each others carnivorous appetites. Most of his Big Cowboys dinners came from a near-by stockyard operation, & would stop in after a long days work. Friday’s was payday at the stockyard & he would cash their paychecks & offer 25 cent beer.

One Friday, he put several tables together in the center of the dinning room & sat all the cowboys together & told them he wanted to see who could eat the most one pound steaks in an hour. The cost was $5 per eater & whoever ate the most got to keep the entire entry-fee.

The rules were simple; you could not get up during the contest or have anyone help you eat, you did not have to eat the fat & if you got sick, you were out.

The cowboys put in their money, took a seat & the contest was on, steaks were flying.

One of the eaters took the lead by swallowing two steaks in ten minutes.
Next,he politely requested a salad & a shrimp cocktail be served with his third steak. He consumed the extras, then this soft spoken giant called for his fourth steak & ask for a baked potato & a bread roll. He wasted little time on devouring those items & called for his fifth steak.

As the hour contest came to an end, this gastronomic superman had eaten:
4 & 1/2 pounds of steak, (which is 72 oz’s) baked potato,shrimp cocktail,salad & a bread roll.

In his amazement & delight of the crowd, Owner Bob (RJ) Lee stood up on a chair in the middle of the dinning room to proclaimed that: “from this day forward, anyone who could eat the entire 72 oz dinner-in one hour– gets it for FREE.

On that date in 1962 the legendary 72oz Steak Challenge was born & to this date the contests stands strong.

Meal consists of: Shrimp Cocktail, Baked Potato, Salad, with Roll, Butter, and of course the 72 oz. Steak

Entire meal must be completed in one hour. If any of the meal is not consumed (swallowed)…YOU LOSE!
Before the time starts, you will be allowed to cut into the steak, and take one bite. If the steak tastes good and is cooked to your satisfaction, we will start the time upon your acceptable approval. The time will not stop, and the contest is on, so make SURE before you say “yes.”
Once you have started you are not allowed to stand up, leave your table, or have anyone else TOUCH the meal.
You will be disqualified if anyone assists you in cutting, preparing or eating of your meal. This is YOUR contest.
You don’t have to eat the fat, but we will judge this.
Should you become ill, the contest is over… YOU LOSE! (Please use the container provided as necessary.)
You are required to pay the full amount up front; if you win we will refund 100%.
You must sit at a table that we assign.
If you do not win the steak challenge, you are welcome to take the leftovers with you.
No consumption or sharing of the leftovers is allowed in the restaurant once the contest is over.
If you fail to complete the challenge, you must pay the full $72 dollars.

I have TMJ, my jaw would probably fall off before I could get close to finishing.

Anyone else ever have a pizza hangover? The next morning you can still sense the pizza you ate the night before and the slightest thought about pizza makes you nauseous?

That Sunday, I had the brunch, the lunch you made, a scheme slice for dessert and another scheme slice out of my pocket at the airport in a 5-hour or so window and you were looking at me funny even before the airport part.

Maybe I can find the KC DEEZ truck during the NathanForYouPAK and knock out a slab of ribs on periscope during an episode.

Spare ribs are for people who don't want actual ribs. I can easily put down a slab of backs, easily. I have also eaten a large pan super supreme minus olives from Pizza Hut. Twice actually. Haven't done the Doritos but I know I can. This is a shame but just last week I ate 3/4 of a bag with the tostitos nacho cheese dip. I only stopped because I ran out of dip.

My most impressive food feat was in high school where I had 10 tacos from taco tico for lunch and ran 4 miles at cross country practice three hours later with no issues. Another time in high school after cross country practice I had 3 full sized snickers bars, an entire bag of lays sour cream and onion, the size smaller than family size, and a two liter of lipton lemon tea. I then an hour later went to the gym to shoot around to get ready for basketball season; none of that crap stayed down.
