Well time is a flat circle.
if it is represented in the laymans term way, sure
-
Just kidding, time doesn't exist.
-
you are 100% correct. it's all relative, which is why it doesn't exist when there is no consciousness measuring it.
also, how can a made up way of measuring something that doesn't exist, be taken as fact :surprised:

If my space car goes 1 gravity how long until I'm going the speed of light?
Sadly, never.
-
intelligent star wars type aliens: could eventually find evidence or too far/too rare to ever find?
Not impossible, but space is just too damn big ya know.
-
In your opinion: humans die out on earth or eventually expand and propagate life to other places? (I'm reading seveneves so bear with me here)
Die out.
-
when will einsteins general theory of relativity be combined with quantum mechanics?
Maybe, but probably not in our lifetimes.
-
why does anti-matter hold so much energy?
It "holds" just as much as regular matter.
-
why does string theory have nothing to do with strings?
It does in an abstract sense. It's all about "vibrations".
-
why haven't we found a white hole based off of Newton's third law?
Why would we?
-
if nothing can travel faster than light, how is wormhole travel possible?
You aren't actually going faster than the speed of light. They are like shortcuts through spacetime.
-
how many volts of energy need to be focused on a singularity to rip space time?
Volts aren't units of energy
-
why haven't we found a white hole based off of Newton's third law?
Why would we?
equal and opposite reaction to a black hole
-
why is the universe in an accelerated red shift when it should be slowing towards a gradual blue shift?
Everything is expanding away from us. Everything is expanding away from everything else.
-
why does the universal nature clock only move in one direction?
Entropy
-
what particle is responsible for Gravity?
Maybe the gravitino
-
what will the LHC at CERN find now that it has been beefed up and is running again?
Exotic combinations of quarks maybe?

Probably

OK

Hormones

Most of them will.

Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Evolution has no speed. Things don't devolve, they only evolve.
-
This AI fear is all scifi nerd mumbojumbo, right?
Probably.
-

Astronauts on this groovy ship called earth.
-

Because you don't bathe properly

equal and opposite reaction to a black hole
Gravity is an attractive force.
-

exactly. the singularity of a black hole theoretically should have an opposite, Einstein theorized it in general relativity but we haven't ever found one. maybe they are actually stars :dunno:

Well it has nothing to do with Newtons third law (that would just be that when a black hole pulls something, that something pulls back with the same force)
As for finding one, we probably already have and don't know it as different from a black hole. Maybe we are in a white hole?

Completely separate space-time (maybe). Interesting if not.

No gravitational pull --> Flung into space ---> gets cold because we are away from the sun.
Too much gravity --> hurled into the sun ---> gets really hot when we get close to the sun.

Wrong.
First, I asked for a term, not a variable.
Secondly, c is the speed of light in a vacuum. I am talking about the speed of light of a given condition/environment.

the term mach refers to the speed of sound relative to the atmospheric pressure and temperature of the local medium. So puni is right, apples to apples mach and c refer to the speed of sound and light respectively, relative to their local medium.

Okay, here's one that's been on my mind for a long time: Why does everyone assume that carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen are essential for life, even on other planets? Why would no one assume that on some other planet, every species evolved from something crazy like gold or titanium?

Carbon is pretty special in ways that gold and titanium are not.
BUT FIRST you would have to define what you mean by 'life'.

No, the laws of physics differ between the large and very small. At the quantum level nothing is ever predetermined, hell, electrons can and are in more than one place at the exact same time, which is why quantum computing, if ever perfected, would exponentially increase our computing power at an unimaginable scale.

We already have time travelers, they are living in the international space station right now! They age slightly slower, like a couple minutes a year slower I believe. The reason being they have less gravity affecting them. Although time is relative based on perception and the forces of nature, it only flows in one direction, so going back in time is impossible.

noted Swiss artist and total weirdo HR Giger claims that humans never deal with the trauma of childbirth and so we suppress it that it haunts us in our subconscious.
Do you think infants are able to perceive enough and develop memories to a degree to generate a trauma? Might I be unconsciously seeking out the recreation of a womb for myself with every Chipotle burrito?

where does this energy go?
http://www.space.com/31241-black-hole-eats-star-returns-leftovers.html
does the energy emitted equal the energy that it took in?
Probably not, I would imagine that even a minute amount would be consumed and crushed inside the event horizon of the black hole
tell me more about crushing energy, Mr Physics Master 2015
the energy that gets spewed out used to be matter, but was converted to energy. a portion of the matter was not converted to energy and crushed inside the black hole. smart ass
so the black hole isn't crushing energy, it's crushing matter.

There is a Nobel prize with your name on it if you can answer that question 'clams

interesting, sounds like a mix of string theory and multiverse. Einstein theorized the possibility of the mathematical equivalent of a black hole, or white hole, and basically all matter and energy that is consumed by a black hole would have the equivalent ejection from a white hole.
exponential inflation is also interesting and recent studies have shown that dark energy may be the driving force behind it.

noted Swiss artist and total weirdo HR Giger claims that humans never deal with the trauma of childbirth and so we suppress it that it haunts us in our subconscious.
Do you think infants are able to perceive enough and develop memories to a degree to generate a trauma? Might I be unconsciously seeking out the recreation of a womb for myself with every Chipotle burrito?
The documentary on Giger is fascinating...
More likely that very religious conservative upbringing + LSD leads to vag = bad?/good? confusion trauma. To know for sure, you'll need to drop some acid and/or other hard psychedelic drugs, and tackle a Chipotle burrito. If you try to crawl into the burrito, then Giger is right. If you eat it, then it's just a burrito.

What if you eat it because it's a womb? :runaway:
