I don't think I'll ever be a best man, which is kind of a relief. I don't have any brothers and only one other guy in my close group of friends is brotherless, so I guess we'll see what happens with that.

I don't think it has to be a brother, but many people feel like they are very close to their brother so they pick them...I was the best woman in my sister's wedding (or whatever it is called) and visa versa.

same here. ushering is by far the best. i've probably been in ten weddings total. best man once. ring bearer once. four groomsman and four usher.
