Probably the San Antonio game.

Pretty sure we travel to SA this year...

Hmmm....
-
Get the early November hotel bookings out
-
my guess is Iowa State.
-
My guess is TCU since we have played them in early November the past 3 years.

wedding season!!

That's not a very good guess. Why would the Big 12 put one of its marquee match ups (it's only marquee because TCU will be playing. sorry but not sorry gEMAWers) on Thursday?

I know you're new to this, but why wouldn't the Big 12 want one of its better match ups to be in primetime AND the only game on TV? The K-State vs Auburn game was one of ESPNs highest rated of the season.

Because the NFL plays on Saturdays.

Great minds think alike. Except I can't pass up 4,000pt nights (was 3k  ) at the four points no matter how weird the hotel is. Great value
-
It would be awesome if we played like Florida State or USC or something on Thursday night and they were waiting to announce it until now.
-
Do we have any open dates for 2015? Should we expect a surprise non-con game or are they all filled up?
-
The only conf game I would for sure take off work to go to is Baylor and OU. I'd take a wait and see approach with TCU and WVU because they could both suck next year and I would not go to KU or ISU.

i bet it's OU

agreed

It would be nice if it was the KU game.
-
Start planning your weddings!
-
I'm a little disappointed in BSAC that we don't know which game yet
-
Is it a Thursday home game? Because if it is, it's not KU.

Of course you do, because you watch them at home. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night because 30 minutes after I get home the Cats are kicking off.
-
That, and I take off those Fridays so I can binge on and enjoy a three day weekend.

I went to the Thursday game against Nebraska in 2010 and liked it except that we lost by like 40.
-
I'm in favor of more weekday road games since we tend to win those and fewer weekday home games since we tend to lose those.

I hope Bookie Pimps best friend gets married on a Thursday night when K-State is playing a game.

he just had his second child, probably threw his game off. he will get around to it.

hur hur
-
tough conf games early
-
November 7th is a great day for Cats fans to tie the knot
-
i like the last month of that schedule to keep braxton healthy for a playoff run.
-
I like our schedule a lot
-
if that was our schedule this year wed be playing florida state in january.
-
We'll have no meat at the end of our schedule for the playoffs. :frown:
-
It's one of those schedules that sets up to have a pretty great season or a really crappy one. Which is pretty rad.
-
It's one of those schedules that sets up to have a pretty great season or a really crappy one. Which is pretty rad.
yeah, it's the kind of schedule you would like as a good team. as a bad team you'd like all the home/aways switched.

really profound stuff here folks

yes, exactly.
-
It'll help rest our most likely banged up signal caller through to the playoff, but that is quite the gauntlet in October. TCU, OU, UT, and Baylor could be a four game stretch all against ranked opponents.
-
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK :runaway:
-
We'll have no meat at the end of our schedule for the playoffs. :frown:
Wish we had a returning QB next year, because this schedule is so front-loaded.
That said, for a playoff run, I think we are better off having easier games at the end; we don't have the depth of other teams.
I really hope OSU doesn't make a bowl game, now, because that could affect the type of team they have at the beginning of October next year.
-
ok i know what to think now. i don't like it, because of our qb/rb/wr situation. predicting 7-5.

As of right now I have no wedding conflicts so this is a great schedule.

I would predict 7-5 next year no matter the schedule next year.

Wow! Great home games on my birthday AND on my anniversary! I predict a very fun year!

Regular season finale, December 5. It's on, rough riders.

Be honest. Do WVU fans expect WVU's 2015 team to be better or worse than their 2014 team?

lol ok, WVU

Are you ready for some mild to cold-assed weather?
-
Be honest. Do WVU fans expect WVU's 2015 team to be better or worse than their 2014 team?
Depending on QB development(big surprise here), both are legit points of view. The best hair in college football is done after this year, and potential replacements are just that... potential. It's fun to be a WVU fan, but damn, it's difficult sometimes. It doesn't matter what happens in the offseason, WVU fans are perennial optimists in August. Don't ask about October...
Are you ready for some mild to cold-assed weather?
It's been down in the low teens all week here, I was born ready!
-
Denied. It's 38 there right now.
-
One of my favorite things about the Big XII these days is that we get to play games in December pretty much every year. In the old days our last game was often the week BEFORE Thanksgiving and then sit around and wait for a bowl game unless you make the championship game. Now its like, "Hey its November but that's ok because we have 4 games in November and 1 in December."
-
I would really like a day with basketball and football in Manhattan on the same day. Those are so fun. I'm not talking a Friday night or a Sunday game on a football weekend, I'm talking a 1 PM tip before a 7 PM kickoff on a Saturday either 11/21 or 12/5. We'll get 2 wins. We'll beat William AND Mary.
-
That schedule is cake. If we don't go at least 10-2 with that crap, we suck ass.
Jk, but really.

I can't make it to 7 home games, but I can make it to 2 or 3. So AD John Currie please do me a solid and let me see the hoops Cats and Football Cats in 1 day.

yeah, that was an amazing day. I would even settle for an exhibition with FHSU or the 'bods or whomever for the basketball game.

No you wouldn't because in my scenario its 11/21 or 12/5 which is prime non-con hoops season. I want like a solid mid major. Someone who made the tourney recently but we can still whoop them. Like, I dunno UAB or something like that.
-
I like how all of our tough games are early, so Hubes should still be somewhat fresh for them, and we can still beat those puds at the end of the year with Ertz taking snaps and playing the role of battering ram #2.
-
Guys I hope we sweep the ALCS again next year so we're not distracted on Saturdays. The OU game win between ALCS and WS worked out very nicely.
-

I'm hopeful Delton is ready for Hubes concusio-duty.

Cali JC QB has good cranial impact potential too

Just reserved a suite at the Bluemont hotel for the night of the baylor game. D Scott would be proud of me. 100% refundable if I cancel by Nov 3rd :kstategrad:

we'll high five in the lobby over eggs benedict friday morning abe

Went to this game, got super bummed out:
http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=273212306 (http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=273212306)
Walked (after some tailgating) with my head hanging low because Cat football sucked to Bram, watched this:
http://espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=273212306 (http://espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=273212306)
Watched Beasley for the first time IRL and was cheered up because he was such a complete hoops stud. Also, Bill Walker.
What I'm saying is that a hoops/football combo day is a good thing and I'd like AD John Currie to do me a solid and schedule a home Men's Basketball game on either 11/21/15 or 12/5/15 or both.
-

If we are undefeated, I want that. Otherwise, I think we can beat those teams anyway and don't want to lose a year of eligibility.

A Halloween game would have been fun.
Maybe we will actually beat Baylor now
-
Some of you aren't very good at predicting games 12 months in advance...
gonna win 'em all

lets bench waters now and start grooming his replacement now, much more on the line next year than whatever meaningless bowl we go to this year

All I know is that Baylor is prepping to impress the Committee at the end of the year:
Nov. 5 at Kansas State Wildcats
Nov. 14 Oklahoma Sooners
Nov. 21 at Oklahoma State Cowboys
Nov. 27 at TCU Horned Frogs
Dec. 5 Texas Longhorns
At least 3 of those teams will most likely contend for conference championship and at least that many most likely will be ranked by the end of October.

Who do we most expect, based off of their teams this year, to be ranked and successful next year? Or is that contingent on bowl success?

I like to look at who has a returning QB and go from there
@OSU - lots of ? marks including the possibility of a new coach
TCU - Boykins :ohno:
OU - Lots of options here, all are likely better than what the cats will have
@UT -Horn fans think Swoopes is turning a corner, we should have a good idea by the end of this season
BU - ? but it most likely doesn't matter, the cats never really stopped a Briles O :frown:
@TT - ? but most likely Webb
ISU - Richardson if he is still healthy
@KU - prolly Cozart but obviously a ton of ? here
@WVU - ?, maybe Cdubya can add something here cause i got nothing
At this point I would say TCU and BU will be the most competent offense we face with OU and UT as wildcards. At best I would predict we go 2-2 in those four games and 3-2 in the others for a 8-4 (5-4) season and a. trip to Beale street for the Liberty Bowl.
-
Looks like the biggest potential is William Crest, followed by either David Sills (former US commit at 13 yrs old) or Chris Chugunov (awesome name). Last resort will be Paul Millard. If he still has a scholarship come next fall WVU is probably in serious trouble behind center.

Is Howard going to be back next year? I'm going to guess he could do alright. Though he isn't nearly as dreamy as Trickett. . .he was bleeding during the game last night. Which shows his toughness.

we've done an excellent job defending baylor the last two times they've played in manhattan
