That's not a very good guess.  Why would the Big 12 put one of its marquee match ups (it's only marquee because TCU will be playing. sorry but not sorry gEMAWers) on Thursday?

I know you're new to this, but why wouldn't the Big 12 want one of its better match ups to be in primetime AND the only game on TV? The K-State vs Auburn game was one of ESPNs highest rated of the season.

The only conf game I would for sure take off work to go to is Baylor and OU. I'd take a wait and see approach with TCU and WVU because they could both suck next year and I would not go to KU or ISU.

It'll help rest our most likely banged up signal caller through to the playoff, but that is quite the gauntlet in October. TCU, OU, UT, and Baylor could be a four game stretch all against ranked opponents.

Wish we had a returning QB next year, because this schedule is so front-loaded.
That said, for a playoff run, I think we are better off having easier games at the end; we don't have the depth of other teams.

I really hope OSU doesn't make a bowl game, now, because that could affect the type of team they have at the beginning of October next year.

Be honest. Do WVU fans expect WVU's 2015 team to be better or worse than their 2014 team?

Depending on QB development(big surprise here), both are legit points of view. The best hair in college football is done after this year, and potential replacements are just that... potential. It's fun to be a WVU fan, but damn, it's difficult sometimes. It doesn't matter what happens in the offseason, WVU fans are perennial optimists in August. Don't ask about October...

One of my favorite things about the Big XII these days is that we get to play games in December pretty much every year. In the old days our last game was often the week BEFORE Thanksgiving and then sit around and wait for a bowl game unless you make the championship game. Now its like, "Hey its November but that's ok because we have 4 games in November and 1 in December."

I would really like a day with basketball and football in Manhattan on the same day. Those are so fun. I'm not talking a Friday night or a Sunday game on a football weekend, I'm talking a 1 PM tip before a 7 PM kickoff on a Saturday either 11/21 or 12/5. We'll get 2 wins. We'll beat William AND Mary.

No you wouldn't because in my scenario its 11/21 or 12/5 which is prime non-con hoops season. I want like a solid mid major. Someone who made the tourney recently but we can still whoop them. Like, I dunno UAB or something like that.

Went to this game, got super bummed out:

http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=273212306 (http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=273212306)

Walked (after some tailgating) with my head hanging low because Cat football sucked to Bram, watched this:

http://espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=273212306 (http://espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=273212306)

Watched Beasley for the first time IRL and was cheered up because he was such a complete hoops stud. Also, Bill Walker.

What I'm saying is that a hoops/football combo day is a good thing and I'd like AD John Currie to do me a solid and schedule a home Men's Basketball game on either 11/21/15 or 12/5/15 or both.

lets bench waters now and start grooming his replacement now, much more on the line next year than whatever meaningless bowl we go to this year

Meow, you started hot on this board, but followed some bad disciples. I hope you find your groove again tho. Start reading some sports news clippings. That might help you vs tagging along w/ the trolls on this board.:gethimabodybag: :gocho:

All I know is that Baylor is prepping to impress the Committee at the end of the year:

Nov. 5   at Kansas State Wildcats
Nov. 14   Oklahoma Sooners
Nov. 21   at Oklahoma State Cowboys
Nov. 27   at TCU Horned Frogs
Dec. 5   Texas Longhorns

At least 3 of those teams will most likely contend for conference championship and at least that many most likely will be ranked by the end of October.

Who do we most expect, based off of their teams this year, to be ranked and successful next year? Or is that contingent on bowl success?

I like to look at who has a returning QB and go from there

@OSU - lots of ? marks including the possibility of a new coach

TCU - Boykins  :ohno:

OU - Lots of options here, all are likely better than what the cats will have

@UT -Horn fans think Swoopes is turning a corner, we should have a good idea by the end of this season

BU - ? but it most likely doesn't matter, the cats never really stopped a Briles O  :frown:

@TT - ? but most likely Webb

ISU - Richardson if he is still healthy

@KU - prolly Cozart but obviously a ton of ? here

@WVU - ?, maybe Cdubya can add something here cause i got nothing

At this point I would say TCU and BU will be the most competent offense we face with OU and UT as wildcards.  At best I would predict we go 2-2 in those four games and 3-2 in the others for a 8-4 (5-4) season and a. trip to Beale street for the Liberty Bowl.

Looks like the biggest potential is William Crest, followed by either David Sills (former US commit at 13 yrs old) or Chris Chugunov (awesome name). Last resort  will be Paul Millard. If he still has a scholarship come next fall WVU is probably in serious trouble behind center.

Is Howard going to be back next year? I'm going to guess he could do alright. Though he isn't nearly as dreamy as Trickett. . .he was bleeding during the game last night. Which shows his toughness.
