This is a rough ridin' JV football game. We literally couldn't look anymore like we don't want to be rough ridin' playing today.
-
just a continuation from the auburn game. defense is great but everyone else needs to go to the back.
-
No need to open up the playbook against a would-be FCS team. We start playing the big boys in a few weeks.
-
Any word on Dakorey? Saw him walking to the locker room on his own so hopefully nothing major.
-
yeah. this season is over. bring on basketball season.

You should limit yourself to posting AFTER football games. There would be a lot less of you looking like a dipshit.

Winning the big 12 on a down year is going to be a lot of fun.

UTEP is awful and we still looked a rough ridin' clown show.
-
Jesus, it was 45-0 at one time and then put in the back ups. :Ugh:
-
UTEP led in Lubbock in the 4th quarter. I don't think Tech is that good, but still. :dunno:
I thought today was fine. Not great, offense was ugly early, but yet we still led 52-7 in the 3rd quarter.
-
Anyone complaining for real is outing themselves as 'spects.

I thought we looked great. >8 ypp, no offensive turnovers. Our starting D looked very stout. That team ran for 280 yards on Tech's D. We held them to less than 60.

How could anyone be mad about this game? The D held their offense to what, 30 some yards in the first half? JFC, get ahold of yourselves. It was literally a cake walk and our offense didn't ever shoot themselves in the foot this game.

Winning the big 12 on a down year is going to be a lot of fun.
Not a down year.
-
I don't think we throw on first down until the 3rd quarter. Bill was going to run the ball and fuckall that a play action play would be good for 30 plus.

OU and Baylor are better than us. And we have them on the road. Also, TCU isn't terrible and we are on the road.

First team they are playing that's not a scrub team, and it don't look like they are blowing out this shitty team,(bottom dweller).
-
ISU *is* a crap scrub team. They are horrible and almost losing to them should still haunt you.

The talent I saw on the field against the national runner-ups nullified that. Football is physical and mental. I don't expect most of you to understand that.

Its the collective that makes up our views of the team. You can't pick and choose only the times we play well as how you evaluate them.

Being down until basically the final drive at ISU is really, really, bad. Hanging tough with Auburn doesn't nullify that. It leads to being optimistic about the rest of the season, but you can't just write off poor play.

I am now very upset about the auburn loss. It was such a letdown and auburn was there for the taking.

it takes a special kind of idiot to post something as dumb as what bucket posted.

This is hard to understand. Certain posters at gE seem to think we have this shitty bottom dwelling team, but then we almost beat a top 5 team; how's that possible? :surprised:
-
The 10 win, 2011 team won in the last minutes against Eastern Kentucky in the first game of the season. Was it because of a lack of talent? No. If you can't see this team's talent then I must assume you're blind. K-State treated ISU like an FCS opponent. I'm very much looking forward to Baylor and OU.
-

You take the cake, cupcake.

We're probably ranked fairly accurately in the polls. Not good enough to avoid a scare by ISU, but good enough to avoid a L. Good enough to scare Auburn, not good enough to win. 20-25 in the polls feels right to me.

Pretty easy to understand.
1) people have different opinions
2) auburn is overrated
Beating auburn could've been a spring board to the top 15 and from there you easily get a top 10 show down vs OU which would be very fun.

Very true. This wasn't a dig at your post. It was another way to question the idea that we are shitty this early in the season.

Sad, people with commonsense don't realize this.

We were great from the start of 2012, we crushed Miami week 2. We shouldn't just assume "yeah we'll suck until October" because we barely beat Eastern Kentucky in 2011.

Ya, because it's a new regime and we just open the playbook against anyone.

That's because these fans think we need to be Alabama, OU or tOSU be feel good about our team. It hurts them and they want to take their ball and go home. And of course, they want to let everyone know they are taking their ball and running home.
-
And Dakorey Johnson and Travis Green JUST HAPPENED to play against Auburn.

Based on your logic the 2011 team was trash because they barely beat EKU, and they're trash because they barely beat trash ISU. Shouldn't K-State just be trash, in general, since they barely beat ISU every year?
-
KSU isn't trash, but make no mistake, ISU is pure horse crap so quit saying they aren't. The fact is KSU has not beat a team worth a damn yet this year.
-

When did I say ISU was anything more than "pure horse crap." I said K-State treated them like an FCS opponent. People are hating on the win against ISU. My point of view is that it has been like every ISU victory the last five years. In other words, it's not even worth bringing up. However, people around here see it as doom and gloom.

True. But they didn't struggle against one of the worst teams in fbs, so they have that over us for now.

I got news for you, Baylor isn't that rough ridin' good. They kept their first team in to the end of all the scrub games to run up the points. Why, so fools like you would think they're the best. :whistle1:

Katdaddy knows nothing about football. Wow. Baylor is pretty great.

You seem to forget that Baylor hasn't played anybody yet; so how in this world can you make any judgments' as to how good they are.

Go look back through my posts. I've never said we are trash. We're like, kinda good but not contend for conference 'ship good.

We usually are running up the score on FCS teams.

Well, I think the coaching staff knows how to take on Baylor. They did better than I expected last season. I think this team, and, especially, this defense is better than last year. I think Baylor is no better or worse than they were last year. They have home field advantage. All things considered, I believe it will come down to the wire.

And some gE'ers think he's a great coach. :sdeek:

Whelp, I'm impressed. So far, Baylor played three scrubs and a bottom dweller. His team is 4-0... I bet ESPN and the playoff committee are impressed too.
