Also Gip double blocks
-
Gip double blocks caused some actual beer spillage, true story.
-
Wesley double doubles are pretty neat. :Woot:
-
I think I'm going to enjoy our guy Wes Westicles.
-
CBI resume padding wins!
:ksu:
-
I think Nigel will have a good k-state career when it's all said and done.
We have a very solid nucleus for the future.

has already stolen all of Will's minutes in crunch time.

Double block-rebound, you guys
-
Really enjoy Gip, Foster, Westicles.
I like both Johnsons.
I was fine with Sprads tonight.
Shane did get a bit putback when needed.
-
Also, the crowd was pretty good tonight.
And I didn't know this tshirt was a thing:

The things you've done for love, and not for money.
-
I enjoy us mushing Ole Miss' face every few years. Feels good :gocho:
-
I did NOT enjoy Brucevember. Hopefully we've put that junk in the past. :Yoda:

-
Dare I say Wes and Nigel are like Frank effort guys, with some better athleticism and skill level. Compare to Nino and Tay.
-
Yeah, its all good.

I enjoyed the free beer glasses we received after the game. Pretty neat!
-
I enjoyed this quote from the game thread in the phog about Southwell.
"I'm enjoying the Shane Southwell career arc.
Fresh - Awful shooter don't guard on perimeter
Soph - Awful shooter don't guard on perimeter
Jr - Best 3 pointer shooter in Big 12
Sr - Awful shooter don't guard on perimeter"
-
I think I'm going to enjoy our guy Wes Westicles.
so help me god if we see this talent slip.
-
Foster after hitting important threes. He gets all Sams'ed up after good plays and I love it.

He's got swag, and I  it

I like both Johnsons.
They don't call you ksu_FENCE for nothing.
-
But Mississippi coach Andy Kennedy might have been more impressed than anyone. “We knew it was going to be a great environment,” he said. “This is my first time being here and I can’t say enough about the students here and how they get into it. You guys are a little spoiled. We don’t see that very often.”
:Wha:

:Wha:
Outside of Kentucky and Florida no one in the SEC gives a crap about basketball. It shouldn't be shocking that our student section is better than Auburn or Miss State...
-
I think you are giving Florida too much credit here - Vandy is prolly the 2nd best crowd in the SEC
-
But that student section last night was well below our standard
-

yes
however
probably a top 5 student section atmosphere of the oscar era.

Agreed that it can be much much better, but it was less terrible than it has been most of the past two years. On a scale of 1-Doom it was a 7.

Good. Our players besides Will, deserve it

There was a point toward the last 2-3 min where the students got decently loud. It made me sad because we hadn't heard that at all yesterday and it was the level of noise that we used to hear most of the game and no where near as loud as the big moments in recent past.
Andy needs to get out more.
-
I like both Johnsons.

I think the small one can be a nice bench guard, like Tay. And the big one can be a nice back up post for Gip.
I've never quote got why sys hates big Johnson.

Probably our best besides the KU game. Not in size, but in zeal.
-
Can confirm it was fun to be there. I don't remember a game last year where I had as much fun as last night. Prolly the KU game, but we lost so it sucked.

This is the hardest we have played since Franks 2nd to last season. I am hoping this is the stamp on the program from Lowery's coaching. At Baylor 2 years would be a close in the amount of intensity.
-
Ole Miss' #34, right after they went up by 4 with like 2 min left, he ran back to half court, got super low in a defensive stance, and double hand slapped the floor.
It was everything you could want it to be.

As soon as he did that I knew we'd win. :gocho:

I don't know that I've seen someone do that in someone else's gym.

On this scale what is the highest number before you reach DOOM! 10 seems too low.

He doesn't waste energy on tantrums... he just coaches. Players may pass poorly, shoot poorly, or defend poorly, but Weber keeps them focused on the next play.... instead of the last play.

I noticed when they dinged around on Offense and had 5 seconds left and he called timeout. He looked like he wanted to yell and go off, but he just grabbed his clipboard and set up a play. I liked it.

Yes. I would let my kid play for him. Cool cat. He wanted to go off and collected himself.

Somewhere in my house is a post-it with certain points of the game that gooch, cats2win and I noted were funny at the time. When I find that post-it, there will be vines of things that I enjoyed.

this is unbelievable. should oscar yell at himself?

the atmosphere was ok but in no way compared to anything from a couple of years ago. sections that used to be full like 17 were 1/3 filled at tip and at no point in time did i think sandstorm would've been a good call. decent crowd though for a school that doesn't care about basketball.

All in perspective guys.

I can't wait for this. If my memory is correct there were some good ones.
