Title: Things I've noticed with this loss
Post by: 420seriouscat69 on September 01, 2013, 10:24:03 AM
-An over drive of Kim Cranes post. rough ridin' Woof!

-Snyder is done. Should have been done after last year. Good grief.

-Conspiracy theorist at their finest.

and more...

Mainly I wanted to get across that if losing means more Kim Cranes post, we're in for a long rough ridin' season. What an unbearable board right now. People ungrateful for Snyder are the same ones who were party rocking the last two seasons. Good grief people, get ahold of yourselves.  :th_twocents:

I didn't want Bill back.  Because this was going to happen.  Only I never expected to get two really rough ridin' amazing years.  I'm not sure if I'm supposed to let this year slide because of it or something.  We are not a program until we win without LHC Bill Snyder.

He built the goddamn Titanic again and hit the same rough ridin' iceberg.

I'd take hiring Gary back (and the prospects of winning with Gary moving forward) than the last 4 years taken as a whole.  So if that means there is something wrong with me, then fine.  But we'd be in a much better position as a program with my scenario than we are right now.

We are in rough ridin' no man's land right now.

Being nervous about where we go from here is why I reminisce about the Patterson possibility.

Also, reminisce is a weird word

I thought this was a given here.  On other sites, maybe a preference for five years of Bill over Patterson was preferred, but not here.

We would have all taken Patterson.

I thought some people were saying the past couple years were worth it.  It is close, but not for me.

As for the Snyder should've been done last year, I don't know who, other than promoting current staff, would take the job after last year.

"We want you to take over for a man that is a legend twice over.  For your first game, a statue of the guy will be installed.  Your returning team has 1 returning player on D and you are losing a Heisman finalist.  You will be judged against competing for a national title and paid, at best, average for the conference.  When can you start?"

Of course. But outside of Patterson I don't see many scenarios that top the past two seasons (long or short term), that's all I'm saying.

Patterson never happened and it's time for some of you to wake up and realize that. Snyder is our ONLY option to this day, that makes any sense at all.

It's like some girl flirted with you one time, but they stayed with their significant other. You have something great now, but damn, all I can think about is that ass from 8 years ago that winked at me.

Brilliant move by Bill calming the waters back down before he steps away. Lower those expectations, stock the cupboard, get the statue and stadium out of the then BOOM! Major Applewhite time. I feel better already.

this is exactly why this was never going to end well.  the "calming the waters" crap was so rough ridin' stupid on a variety of levels.  did it work?  sure.  in the short term we got 2 great years.  Wonderful.  I'll make sure to get all those commemorative DVDs and watch them on Saturdays instead the inevitable dogshit I'm going to be watching.

We're paying him this year to coach this team.  If you want to pay him for all the good he's done in the past, find another job for him and hire a coach that is expected to win with this team.  I'm not saying he should be fired for one loss, but its a crap loss and he should be criticized as any coach would.

Everyone is making parallels to '04, which may end up being right, but what about '01.  Big 12 championship appearance and only losses were to national champion OU.  Soph Ell was up and down, team was 6-6.

Read the history of Apple.  They got rid of Jobs because the great thing he built was starting to fall apart, brought in someone else and just about went bankrupt, so they bring Jobs back and he takes them back to glory...Jobs dies of cancer, we lose to Bison...same diff.

@Chi- No, it rough ridin' sucks. It's Snyder's worse loss of his career, but if anyone deserves a little slack, it's the legend. We've been spoiled for so long, some tend to think we're untouchable.

If a CEO of a company makes them super successful and then they start tanking, nobody goes "well, he built it, he deserves to leave when he wants"  eff no.  I don't know why people look at football so different.  He is being paid to be successful and win games.  If he doesn't do it, bring in someone who can.  Were we lucky to have him, sure, but he's not out here donating his rough ridin' time.  We are not paying him today for the games we won last year.  We are paying him to win this year.

I do think he can turn it around and we could still win 7 this year.  I think with our QBs, we will be better than the 04 and 05 teams.  I think Snyder should have a couple years yet to build the roster/team.  But if he underperforms, he can have his ass fired just like anyone else.

Oh my God. KState is Apple and Snyder is Jobs...

No, we're twitter and Snyder is that guy who invented it and made a lot of money off of it but got forced out because he wasn't the best fit for the company.

Read the history of Apple.  They got rid of Jobs because the great thing he built was starting to fall apart, brought in someone else and just about went bankrupt, so they bring Jobs back and he takes them back to glory...Jobs dies of cancer, we lose to Bison...same diff.

Ok.  If Snyder dies at the end of this season then I am ok with us being apple.

We are not a program until we win without LHC LHC LHC Bill Snyder.

We are not a program until we can lose to an NDSU and not freak the eff out and panic.

How'd Michigan handle the Appy State loss?

Their fanbase freaked the eff out and wanted Lloyd Carr fired.

Almost won the Big Ten  :dunno:
