ehh, just one more stadium that emaw owns the attendance record on
1. 58,895 vs Kansas State 2011
2. 58,516 vs Texas 2009
3. 58,274 vs Baylor 2011
4. 58,141 vs Oklahoma 2011

I'm just baffled that this is their attendance ceiling despite the growth with TBoone's money.

No real surprise here folks.....EMAW strolls down to Stillwater and clowsuits the attendance figure for the "Bedlam" series. Also another thing that Texas falls short on to big bro KSU.
-
I read on Phog or WVU's board, don't remember which, from some OSU poster that they were getting ready to add a bunch more suites. Either that guy is FOS or wikipedia is.

2,000 empty suite seats? :surprised:
With T.Boone paying the money, OSU has approached selling seats far different than many others would. They don't offer discounts or reduced prices, especially on premium seats. The attitude is that fans will pay the money at full price, and if they start expecting discounts or reduced prices your revenues will suffer over the long term.

The raw attendenace isn't really that important it's the number of suites and higher revenue seats. Building a bunch of extra cheap seats that are rarely used so you can brag about your stadium capacity is kind of a thing of the past.

seems dumb to me. very similar fanbase to ours. they're not going to magically start having more disposable income to pay full price. provide discounts, get them in the stadium where they'll buy concessions and make you look better on TV.

Also, I believe OSU has a "season ticket holders only" policy for the Bedlam game

:embarrassed:
Was not aware of any fanbase have more fantastically huge amounts of disposable income than :kstategrad:

All K-State/UT jokes aside... but Texas put in extra bleachers to do this exact thing.

Wonder if Texas got permission from the owners before putting up those temp bleachers. :don'tcare:
