And KUs first foul is called on Tharpe instead of Withy. It's just amazing how rigged the officiating is.

Basketball sucks.

This is a glorified girls game, Soccer has more contact. Probably generates more conference revenue too.

See, I can understand why you'd say that, because as a KU can it is physically impossible for you to see Withey commit a foul. It's like color blindness. Ts & Ps.

While I despise KU's undeniable officiating advantage in the BigXII, it's actually terrible for you come NCAA time when UNI/VCU/insert team you shouldn't lose to here, destroys you because you aren't used to a fairly called game.

If someone hacks before Withey is even involved, it is very very tough to see.  So kinda.

1) After game starts, call several quick ticky tack fouls on (KU opponent's) key players to get them in early foul trouble
2) Don't call any on KU, allowing their D to play balls out without the fear of getting called
3) Once the score is safely in hand and (KU opponent's) offense has gone completely dry since they've had to ratchet back on the aggressiveness in order to stop fouling, maybe even call one or two obvious ones on KU to make it look like a real game

(halftime)

1) Continue previous plan until spread is over 10 in KU's favor
2) Start to call ridiculous fouls on KU in order to even out the stats, but not too much if it affects the score spread
3) Continue until game is over and the stat line looks even on foul disparity and score is guaranteed

No, because that's a foul 10/10 times if someone in a purple jersey does that exact same thing to Withey

There's always an excuse for the rigged officiating. Oh well. Congrats to KU. You don't rig the games - you're just a good team that capitalizes on what you're given. It's just the denial and excuses that kills me. (And the losing of course).

So, "rig" implies intent and effort before the fact.  Not that we get all the calls (due to coaches "working" officials, or "prestige", or habit of officials), but that we are  intentionally doing something to ensure it in advance.   What's the evidence that we are "rigging" it?  Got a receipt from the trash can?  Otherwise, you are an idiot for drawing this conclusion.

Nope. I'm using rig as shorthand for everything you just said. Thanks for clarifying that. I guess I need to make this clear: I don't think money is actually changing hands.
