Re-aggravated his chest bruise injury. Doubtful for TCU also.

He re-aggravated his can't-guard-Heslip injury, oscar realized Tay is a better basketball player.

His 3 pt attempt was also thrown up out of rhythm.  I think his minutes would suggest that if he misses his first couple looks or loses shooters on the perimeter early, he is < 30 min.  Maybe his injury had more to do with that today, but I don't think they want him out there if he's stewing in a lack of confidence.

If he hits early he could be good for up to 15 pts.  Tonight I think they wanted more consistency in 'tay out there.

Tay couldn't guard him either. It was Rodney that shut him down.

He only got one shot off against Tay, and that was off a scramble following a long offensive board.

He made one with Sprads in the game, then he made 2 more after Tay came in. Then Rodney started to guard him.

BTW, no disrespect to Tay, he played a great game.

No, denied, you can't count the loose ball recovery shot against Tay. :dubious: (https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2FgoEMAW.com%2Fforum%2FSmileys%2FgoEMAW%2Ficon44.gif&hash=0dd20175d5030354a02d61a3bc4fa7d3eeac8a9d)

I'll give that, but there was a reason Rod took over guarding him.

Tay had a bit of a weird game, honestly. Started it out by having like 3 almost-turnovers in a row and looked really out of sorts before hitting his first trey, then pretty much dominated after that (relative to expectations of production).

Lost in all of this is that Angel has what has become an average game for him, 13 pts and 8 assists. Anyone surprised that Angel assisted the game winner? I'M NOT!!!

Angel will break the K-State all-time assist record. Then, AND ONLY THEN, will tucks realize how great Angel was/is. I feel sorry for them, because we're all enjoying him so much RIGHT NOW!

Is he even going to break it next season, or will he need 4 years? What is the record?

He will have to play his balls off to break the record, but I think he will. Steve Henson had 582, and Angel has 236 right now. Angel has averaged 6 assists per game throughout conference play, and we have 4 guaranteed games left. So, Angel should end the season with at least 250 assists. More likely somewhere between 260-275. His assist rate went up dramatically this year, and if he can keep that pace then he will break the record late in his senior year.

Give me a break. We won and we are 13-3 cause we are a complete TEAM.

If we lost without Will (or Tay) not playing....it would because we weren't good enough.

Both of those two guys are playing well on this 10 game run. Enjoy it.

It would have been nice to have another ballhandler today.  The offense during the stretch where Omari and DJamer were in at the same time was painful.  Let Baylor get the lead back or else we would have been up double digits early in the 2nd half.
