I usually don't like cbssportsline.com commentators, mainly because of the MU idiot Dodd, but  with his pregame Northern Iowa/Kansas and KSU/BYU articles and then this on top of it, Doyle is on fire and owning this tournament from a writing perspective.

Doyel absolutely pwned the Hawks with that one.

that article is spot on.  if they would've taken their game to UNI early and often, they would've trucked them.  did nothing to force mistakes with the ball until they absolutely had to.

With the obscene talent and depth differential they have over other teams, it's amazing Seff doesn't have them play that full court press the entire game (or at least until it gets out of hand).

Further complicating KU’s problems was a foul disparity in the first 8 minutes that favored the Panthers 6-0. As Eglseder and Farokmanesh found a rhythm and Northern Iowa gained confidence, Self felt handcuffed, trapped.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses....

Northern Iowa took and sank bad shots from start to finish.

It's just a game. JFC, bunch of crybabies.

Fantastic analogy, Doyel:

Quote
Kansas had wanted to win from the opening tap, sure. Sort of like, when it's dinner time, you want to eat. Are you hungry? Maybe, maybe not. But it's 6 p.m., and you eat at 6, so you head for the table. Same with Kansas for those first 37 minutes. This was a game, and athletes prefer winning to losing, so Kansas wanted to win.

You must not be a true college fan to realize the passion and dedication it is to be a part of a program such as KU. We had an amazing run this year winning the Big 12. We are all proud of our 'Hawks and once again go f--- yourself.

Looked you up, Janae. You went to Wichita State, not Kansas. Could you not get into Kansas? Is it even that hard? Or are you just a front-running homer? Either way, that's sad, Janae. Plus they're just kids.

OMFG......

the first one, Adam Bengtson, also went to wichita state and not ku.

is there a single ku fan that went there?
i am the only k-state fan in my entire department at work, maybe 20 people. there are like 10 pretty big ku fans NONE of them graduated from ku
the fact that i graduated from KSU in 08 just pwns them so hard they don't even know

We might see a better team over the next 10 days, but we won't see a better game. Definitely not in the 2010 NCAA tournament. Another game this season, better than Kansas State and Xavier gave us? No way. You're not that lucky. Neither am I.

But we'll always have Thursday night, when second-seeded Kansas State beat No. 6 seed Xavier 101-96 in a game that will be remembered -- as far down the road as decades from now, and as immediately as this moment -- as one of the best games in the history of the Sweet 16.

12 moderately extended family members are "huge" ku fans, 3 went to ku, 4 total went to college.

10 immediate to extended family members are huge K-State fans.  6 of them went to K-State,  7 total went to college and another was headed to K-State to play baseball before he got drafted and decided to make the military his career.
