a ticket 44 in a 25mph school zone definitely sounds like the state of Missouri's fault

There was a sign for 35 and it dropped to 25 in a split second. The dude was on a motorcycle just waiting for people to come over the hill. I'm a dumbass for driving that fast, but the guy was a complete dick.

IN A SPLIT SECOND! MISSOURI!!!!! :shakesfist:

Most speed limits change in a split of a second. Kind of the nature of the beast imo.
-
I gotta go to court at the end of January. I need a lawyer for this one. It could hurt my insurance.

Just another chapter in the Fanning/Trim correspondence.

Yea, but usually you go thru a 33, 30, 28 speed limits to get from 35 to 25.

One time when I was running late for highschool a young Bloodfart was pulled over and the cop said "you couldn't afford this ticket, SLOW YOUR ASS DOWN!" Then sent me on my way ticket free. :driving:

I've gotten out of 3 tickets just by admitting I was being an idiot.
Once I was coming over a hill on 24 doing 105 and there was a officer of the law in the median, so I slammed on my brakes and of course he comes and pulls me over and says I clocked you at 94 but I saw you step on your brakes pretty hard. I was like yeah....I was being an idiot. He ran my info and came back and told me to slow on down in the future.
Opposite end, I was doing 90 in a 70 and was pulled over by a highway patrolman, he ripped my ass for 15 minutes and made damn sure I knew that my car couldn't outrun his.
Worst story ever, I was doing 90 in a 70 and look in my rear view mirror and there is a cop on my ass. I think "oh eff, I'm so screwed" but he flies on by. A sick minded SK says someone must have died to get me out of that ticket, someone did and I knew him.
Ts and Ps fan, and welcome to the adult world.

that's actually a pretty great story. Unfortunate, I guess, but a great story.
I used to work with a guy who would tell anyone that came in late that he was worried they were face-down-dead in a ditch somewhere. I always thought he was kidding because he said it with a smile but he actually new someone that got in a wreck, was thrown from the car, and drowned face-down in ditch water.

Never admit guilt! This is now admissible in court! I always thought it was pretty great that you use your real name to bbs, but now...not so much.

Fanning. Call whoevs you call at the court house and get diversion. Will cost like double or something, but it stays off your record.
Note: May not be able to do this due to school zone. No clue.
Side story:
Was pulled over 10 times through HS and college with 0 tickets. Used up all the luck. I have 3 in the last 5 yrs now.

Maybe you should get one of your rich donor friends to cover the cost?

On the way back from KSU @ Nebraska in 2005 I got a ticket like 30 miles away from Manhattan. The thing that made it worse was Mrs. CF3 had been on my case to slow down for like the previous 30 miles, but I was in no mood to listen. Then, after we got back on the road, she started crying. Also should be noted that it was her birthday and she didn't really want to go to Lincoln to begin with.
CATS!

I got pulled over driving to a Cats game in Manhattan in the late '90s. Wife had been on my case for an hour about not driving so fast. Cop pulled me over and took my license and looked in at us for a couple of seconds, he then went back to his car for a minute to run the license and when he returned, he looked at us again and said, "I am just going to give you a warning. You can thank her for that."
The cop let me off because he could see how pissed off my wife was and didn't want to make my day any worse!

The day after FattyFest, I was just leaving the hotel headed home and got pulled over by a bicycle stop while sitting at the stoplight at Bluemont and Manhattan Ave. Apparently it's against the law to talk on your cellphone without Bluetooth, which was exactly what I was doing.
I told the cop what I was doing in town, fattyfest and how even Arthur and Harper came down, and the cop gave me a warning. Best part was that I didn't have an updated insurance card with me, and he was still cool with it...I had insurance, just forgot to put the new proof in my car.
He was good dude, I suspect that he may read the board.
Also, maybe the official start of "fattytakethewheel?" :dunno:

Last time I bought a car and went in to my insurance company to get coverage started on it, they did something on their computer and told me about my speeding tickets and when I got them to the day, all without me saying crap.
I would assume that either: 1. my insurance joint is much higher tech than yours, or 2. what your saying wont work

Once I was in the left lane of the interstate just flying by everyone in the right lane and also flew right past a highway patrol car sitting in the median with his radar gun. I had a bad feeling that he'd come after me. I saw that I was approaching an exit, so I swerved into the right lane and took it. I floored it to the nearest building and parked out of sight in the back for a while. No sign of the cop, so I got back on the interstate. Then, like five minutes down the road, I saw that same cop turning his car around in the median to head back in the direction we just came from. The Mrs. Was giddy. She said she felt like Sally Field in Smokey and the Bandit. It felt pretty damn good.

:dubious: sounds like your agent is a dick...Seeing as how fanning is a shitty driver and just totaled his car, I assume that he wont be purchasing a new car soon though. Either way, every insurance company runs MVR's from time to time, but they have no reason to run it once the policy is started. Thats why I suggested not saying anything. As far as paying double the ticket price in the hopes that it wont show up on your record that your insurance company probably wont look at again, so that you might save some money on your insurance.... I guess thats for people to decide on their own
