I'm enjoying the heck of it. Honestly, I wasn't sure I'd ever experience another 98 in my life, but its happening. We might lose and not make it, but we're part of the discussion and its nearly November. That's pretty darn fun.

I'm just a worrier I guess. I am enjoying it, but I just worry. I want the Heisman so bad too. And I'm worried they're going to give it to that bad person Matt Barkley.

If OU doesn't beat Notre Dame this weekend it could get sketchy in the computers.

OU will destroy notre dame. If there's one thing I'm not worried about it's that.

I guess he thinks Boise gets an auto-bid.  However, I do think he's crazy thinking that the Fiesta will take Boise over ND or Oregon.  If USC beats Oregon and it's a KSU/Bama NC game, then the Sugar gets first pick to take Florida.  After that, the Fiesta gets the next two picks to pick it's matchup.  I would think the last matchup they would want is OU (or anyone) against Boise when they could have any combo of OU/ND/Oregon.

You worry because you're smart.  Any fan that is not a giant dumbass should be worried sick.  We still have to play 3 of the 5 best teams in the big 12 and they are in 3 consecutive weeks.   OSU Tech and TCU all have good offenses with defenses that are decent to quite good.

Not worried and really haven't been worried/nervous for any game this season.  Nothing but pud teams left on the schedule.

One game at a time guys.  One game at a time.  The ride thus far has been glorious but we can't look ahead.  There's still important games
left on the schedule.  After the game I received probably ten texts from friends who were already declaring us national champions!  This is foolish.  If we stay focused the Snyder-way, go about our business week by week, the sky is the ceiling for this squad.  Great win for us!  Let's focus on Tech now.

This is a rough ridin' maddening talking point.  Yes, we all know that we could lose.  We're not dumbasses.  But ever since the OU game, the thought of us playing in a national championship has been very real. I am going to soak that in for as long as I possibly can.  If we lose, we lose.  But if you have that stupid "wait and see" mindset, and we lose, then you will never get to experience the euphoria that has been the last 5 weeks as a Cats fan.

1998 was enjoyed so much because 1988 was remembered.  2012 is being enjoyed so much because the sting of 98 is so vivid, and also because beating ranked teams on the road by like 50 is a total blast.

I was trying to Walk on in 98 as a freshman. The atmosphere around Manhatten then was amazing, this year has much of the same feel. I think the biggest diffrence was we were expected to win 10 plus games back then, but this rebirth on the national scene and on the tounge of all the major sports pundits is pretty epic. :lynchmob:

Side note: My hatred for A&M still festers deep.

Guys, I really hope we don't lose. I've been the biggest insufferable prick to my ku friends the past few weeks.  Shouting Optimus Klein for Heisman in their fat faces and tackling them in hallways while calling myself Arthur the Judge Brown. I shudder to think what they will do to me if we lose. Wet willies and Indian burns for sure.   :ohno:

I selectively forgot it happened like two days after it happened for about 6 years. Selective memory/self preservation technique I guess.

I decided to save the tears that I cried in December of 1998.  I squeezed them out of my pillow late that night and I bottled them up.  I first thought I would plant an orange tree and every year water that orange tree with my tears so that I would remember that night every morning when I was drinking on my OJ.  So I did.  And now I really hate OJ, but I still remember what it felt like to almost be there and then have to take your medicine.  Taking your medicine every morning for 13.8 years.  This team is on it.  This team is making me believe.  This team has to win 5 more games...and then I will have a glass of OJ and think about my years at KSU...and I will probably cry again.
