I'm known amongst the local artist cooperative as a little bit of a soothsayer when it comes to the KSU State University Purple SnyderWilds Football UniversityCats. I decided to go public with my soothsaying this year by posting a weekly predicto before each game. Here's my prediction for the SMS game, I hope it's right!!!

Sorry I didn't post my prediction earlier this week--I had an opening at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami.

I was originally really excited to get down to South Beach, but it turns out it's not as nice as Will Smith makes it seem. I honestly cannot for the life of me understand why Lebron left Cleveland for this dump of a town. It's that bad. I stayed at the Dan Marino hotel, which turns out is just an art deco Red Roof Inn that overlooks a needle-covered beach.

Any way, I snapped a quick pic while I was down there this week. Hope you like it. Go 'Cats.

First off, I want to apologize for waiting so long to post last week's Miami predicto. Fashion Week has really been taking up a lot of my time recently, as D&G is really hoping to push out a Fall MS Paint line soon. In the future, I'll try to have these predictos up by Thursdays at 9:00am EST. And even though it was delayed, I was pretty pleased with last week's work--I feel like it gave the PurpleCats some great inspiration.

This week those same WildWildWildCurrieCats face off against an old foe--THE North Texas State University Green Monsters. I'll leave it to _FAN to do all of the breakdowns and ORCHID to do all of the statistics, but here is my humble predicto for this week:

We all know that this week is a big week, so I traveled to Oklahoma this week to do a little reconnaissance for the Scheme Doctor and to check out the early native MS Paint rock murals of the Quapaw tribe. While the art was pretty interesting, I came away pretty unimpressed with the landscape, culture, fillies, and general homeland security of the place. I don't think I'll be back, would not recommend. (Sorry, OKCat.)

I don't want to make a prediction this week because I am in full TSC mode and don't want to hurt the feelings of our Kansas brothers. However, I did talk to a friend of mine who knows LSAJ (little shot attorney jayhawk) from his divorce, and I got my hands on some REAL rendos of the upgrades that are finally getting made to Memorial Stadium. Apparently they were able to raise the $48,600 necessary to update their stadium from some hotshot donors, and this is what it should look like when we return there for The Dillons in 2013.

Please note:
-Instead of removing the track, they're actually removing seats and expanding the track. Pretty brave and neat idea on their part imHo, but that's just an IMHO.
-Fan base shown in renderings appears to be based on 2012 data
-The "Half Ring of Honor" is a new concept to me, but I like it for little brother.
-Gridiron Club finally gets finished!

If you don't like the rendos, please don't blame me. I'm just passing along what LSAJ would give to me.

I dunno, LSAJ is a pretty reliable source, so I'm inclined to believe him. Does lots of divorces in the Douglass County area, so he's privy to a ton of info.

...also pretty shocked that this work is getting more love than the Miami, OU, or NTSU predicto. That's one of the beautiful things about art, I guess--everyone can bond in their own special way with the piece that speaks to them.

Boy has it been a crazy week! As most of you know, most Nobel Prize winners were being announced this week, so I was asked to come to Stockholm. Add another one to the goEMAW trophy case and mods, split the prize money. (Not you, =mods?=. The real mods.)

Anyway, Stockholm was outstanding. The city was clean, the women were beautiful, the men were good-smelling, the food was outstanding...reminded me a lot of my time in the Little Apple, actually. Even threw up a few :combofan: while I was there and got some enthusiastic and knowing responses. (Eurocat?) Just a very EMAW land up there. A very EMAW land.

I knew almost immediately upon arriving in Stockholm that I wanted to use all this great beauty around me to help me get to a really dark, dark place. And once I was firmly in that dark, dark place, I just painted what I felt: Ames.

If you can find it in your heart, please donate to the Tooth Restoration Center--not a lot of new construction has happened since Senator Byrd ( :opcat: ) passed.

I was passing through Oklahoma earlier this week on my way to Texas because Jerry Jones has commissioned some works for the JerryDome. (Was not coming from MHK, or otherwise would have :AA:.) They're opening up an MS Paint gallery in the stadium, which should be pretty cutting edge.

I thought things were bad in Norman earlier this year, but let me tell you--Stillwater is a thousand times worse. A thousand times worse. It's pretty clear after spending 30 seconds here that the best got out during the Dust Bowl...as if the Dust Bowl ever ended for these people. On my entire drive through, I didn't see one lake, one tree, or one live animal. (I did, however, almost get run off the road by known felon Calvin Barnett.)

T. Boone Warbucks is a warlord down here, dispensing his cash to the locals who immediately blow it on chaw, Old Milwaukee and gas station casinos. I was going to ask him why he didn't spend it on things like free dental care or libraries, but stopped myself because I realized there wasn't a tooth within four hours and that no one (including T. Boone himself) could read "a lick."

What I do have is a predicto for this week and the rest of the season.

You see, I grew up watching the K-State Cats Purple University. I was there in 1989 for Frank Hernandez’s catch, and was there nine years later in St. Louis. This whole season, like a lot of you, I’ve been a pretty stereotypical Duplex MmmBop Cat fan—really excited, but really nervous. Waiting for a repeat of the TWA Dome. Waiting for the you-know-what. Waiting for Bill to retire and Sean to take over and lead our football program to Woolyball levels of success.

Well you know what? I’m not going to do that anymore.

I didn’t know Fatty, but I know he didn’t win the World BBS-ing championship ten years in a row so I could sit around agreeing with the Negative Nellies in the Master Butthurt thread. He didn’t sit around making bootleg tapes and memorizing obscure stats so I could let K-State’s lackluster history cloud my enjoyment of these Scuba Cats. He was a Cat Fan who would have enjoyed every second of this, so I’m going to forget what I know about being a fan of K-State Cats Purple University, and do my best to emulate him.

Hey, Gang. A rejuvenated CanCo here.

When I sat down this week to do my predicto, I wanted to honor three of the greatest Scuba Duplex Wild Wild MMMBop Cats that ever lived. I thought about putting four seniors (the obvious three + Finney) on Mount Rushmore, but I've already done the Mount Rushmore thing. And I thought about comparing them to biblical characters, but that didn't work out so well two weeks ago, so I skipped that.

And then it hit me: where does a KSU Purple University football player go when his time is done at The BSFS? Well, the Vikings had Valhalla. The Greek (and Roman) gods looked down on humanity from Mount Olympus.

On Saturday, Collin Klein, Arthur Brown, and Chris Harper will join the Wildcats of old and ascend to watch over us forevermore from Mount K-State0.

Because our UT friends viewing this board received a terrible education and can't understand the photo above, let me offer some assistance in the form of a MartaviousDNR:

Klein : Zeus--Both throw lightning bolts from their arms. Both run the show. Both fathered (or will father) incredibly strong offspring.

Brown : Mars--The obvious thing to do here would be to make AB something related to Justice, given that his legal middle name is "The Judge." However, as Trim and BSAC know, Justice is not only blind, she is also a lady.

Instead, Arthur is depicted here as the Roman god Mars, who was second only to Jupiter. Mars used force (tackles and interceptions and stares and stuff) to achieve submission from the opponent and peace (wins). Mars is also an agricultural god (meat goats) who was beloved by the Roman people (goEMAW) and was thought to be...umm...extremely virile.

Harper : Apollo--One might be tempted to make CH3 into Mercury (because of his speed) or Nike (god of Victory/obvious Oregon comparos). But that is shortsighted.

Being that he is the son of Zeus, Apollo can only exist because of Zeus--just as Harper can only show he is the best receiver walking the Earth right now because of the lightning bolt arm of Collin Klein. Apollo was also a god of many different realms of life, just as Chris Harper is the god of many different aspects of the receiver position (speed, ability to make big catches, hands, trash-talking, stiff-arming like a boss, etc). Apollo is frequently connected with both the Sun and the arts. Similarly, Chris Harper brings light and happiness to every EMAW's life with his good looks, good-smellingness, and adorableness.

Snyder : Icarus--He schemed just a little bit too close to the sun.

Weiss : Sisyphus--If you don't know, Google it.

Bumping this because I posted it on Saturday morning and not many were around to see it.

I don't know about you, but Harper was pretty Apollo-ey last night. What an absolute freak and stud. Love that guy--he has slowly risen in my "Favorite Wild Wild Cats of All Time" list, and frankly, I don't think he gets enough love.

I would have given all the MS paints in the world to be at The BSFS last night.
