The fashion thread hasn't warned me that capris for dudes are in. Is this an extension of the shorter shorts trend? Is it ok if I just cut off my khakis at mid shin? Are frays still in? I can have my mom hem them if not.

i can see him sitting at his desk in downtown manhattan (big apple not little apple) in the boardroom.  donald trump sits to his left. don junior sits to his right.  trump stands up and says, guys i'm hanging them up, gonna hand the keys over to this guy right here tre biscuits.  trump hands him a fake set of keys and walks out of the room.  tre cracks his knuckles and says, 'ok, first thing is first' and then begins talking about restructuring.  a hot secretary walks in and pours him an ice water and whispers in his ear that he has an important call on line 1.  tre tells them that they'll pick up where they left off when he's back from lunch and walks out to meet his important lunch date at tavern on the green.

Childs had been playing more and more the last few weeks I think.  I noticed that Tre didn't get a ton of playing time against WVU.  Probably because Childs is better in coverage?

Anyhow, I still hate to lose Tre.  We're a little (a lot?) thin at Linebacker now.

We are a little thin at lb, but not bad. Pretty clear that in our nickel packages we use Arthur and Childs most of the time. Tuggle is fine at LB and Jonathan Truman was one of the few people who looked good for the second team D yesterday.

I dunno if this is what KK is talking about, but he was clearly hurt. I didn't see his knee get all Lattimored or anything, but when he was "walking off" he was clearly angry, yelling in frustration. Players aren't angry over sprains, they know when something really bad happens to their body. As soon as he was making those gestures of frustration, I turned to [redacted] and said he was done

It didn't seem like Tre's injury was that bad. DON'T RIP ME but when I used to play ball with him a couple years back he was a bit of a girl about any kind of contact. Undoubtedly he's toughened up since, but he could easily overreact to a sprain. He's just kind of emotional like that.  Take it for what it's worth.

Look, if you've blown out a knee you have a visceral understanding of what it feels like/looks like.  It initially puts you in to a kind of shock/intense pain, then the adrenaline kicks in and you can pretty much walk on it, but it feels terrible and weird and is unstable as hell.  He knows he's done.  Simple stuff here kids.
Title: Re: The Tre Walker Thread
Post by: CNS on October 29, 2012, 03:42:59 PM
I bet Tre did catch a few of those fish, but Mixed still had to take them off the hook for him.  Also, they were the smaller one's near the end of the trip and everyone else was already done fishing by then and they quietly decided that they would stay until Tre could catch a couple.

It looked like every other ACL tear you would see.  Planted hard and a little awkward, no noticeable movement or catastrophic failure, fall to the ground and grab the OUTSIDE of the knee.  I called an ACL tear as soon as they replayed it.

If he is done then that sucks. Im just being optimistic with the knowledge that he used to get very upset about slight injuries like jammed fingers while going for a rebound.  He wears his emotions on his sleeves, I love him for it. So yeah if something bad happens he won't hide any concern.

I actually tore my LCL and grabbed the same part of my knee.  So while it is 95% it is an ACL there is a chance it is LCL.  Really the best we could hope for is that it is a partially torn LCL.  That would possibly get him back for the bowl game in January.

When Tre got injured it looked like one of those fluke things no nasty bend or getting slammed hard was just strange

On the replay his knee clearly buckles out for a second.  On tv they were talking about his knee banging against the WR's knee, but thats not the knee he hurt.

So let's discuss how this changes things.

More Childs?
Are we worse or better against the run/pass?
Should we  :runaway:?

When did it happen again? I'd like to watch replay.

Also when Lucas walked off the field, my friend and I were all  :sdeek: Big man.

I was watching the game with my lil bro.  I said, "check out how big this dude is when he stands up."  My little bro just did this :sdeek:

Was Tre listed as the starter last week? Would he have been on the sideline without crutches with a torn ACL?  :dunno:

Slow updates on the website.  Similar to another KSU organization.  No communication....pathetic.
