Title: Gym People
Post by: Stupid Fitz on March 19, 2012, 06:07:40 PM
Today was a strange day at the gym.  Several, "look at how many tattoos I have" folks. Normally don't see any tattoo peoples.  Guy that always wears a tight black tank top was there again today though and he had his black tank top on.

Bunch of old guys at my joint wear coats, hats, sweats, etc.  They think that their HS coach from 1956 and his advice is still correct in that dressing like that when working out is better because it makes you hot as balls.

He really isn't too bad.  He grunts a little, but isn't a weight dropper.  I fracking hate weight droppers.  This isn't the fracking Olympics.  There is this little big dude that I really haven't seen in a while, but used to be there like every time I am there.  He is about 5'2", but is in pretty damn good shape.  All of his clothes were spandex.  All of them.  I bet he would buy spandex shoes and socks if they made them. (do they make them :dunno: ).  Anyway, that little bastard would drop the weights from max height after his last rep every single set and it drove me crazy.

Fantastic day at the gym yesterday.  Some old dude in leather sandals and khaki pants.  He was doing pull downs on the cables then in between he would back up, look in the mirror and do karate kicks.   :excited:  Almost Daniel son, crane style karate kicks.  His form was off a bit in that his arms weren't high enough, but I think he'll get there.

Karate guy back today with khakis. Not sure what his plan is, but I'm no trainer so what do I know?  Speaking of, what do you think of shorty, pudgy guys as personal trainers?  I see this dude training people every day and he is kind of fat. I would be pissed if he yelled at me do do a few more reps or something.

I appreciate the disregard of "old naked guy" in this thread since every gym has old naked guy.  However, yesterday there was an old naked guy that set the standard for all old naked guys going forward at the gym.  I walked in the locker room and proceeded to the bathroom/shower area and old naked guy is standing in front of the mirror (old and naked of course) using the blow dryer to dry off his man parts.  I kind of shake my head and proceed to the urinal and when I return he is still there and is using the complimentary spray deoderant on his ass and balls.   :cyclist:

Also at my gym there are two old ladies like in their 50's or 60's that are in pretty good shape but think it is necessary to wear spandex shorts and a sports bra and nothing else. Very attention-whorish. One of them has some poor middle-aged man come talk to her while she does situps or something. He looks like he really wants to bang her but she just seems to enjoy the attention.

so when I get to the gym at 6am for hoops, there's this guy that has a locker close to my favorite one, and he is rough ridin' stretching in the locker room. Like, between the lockers. and not just simple toe touches. The guy looks like he is in serious pain and is grunting and straining. He sticks his arms out as wide as he can and makes loops with them. He uses the lockers to do calf stretches (and they are really intense calf stretches). And then he goes upstairs and works out. RIGHT NEXT TO THE rough ridin' STRETCHING ROOM! AAAAAGHHHH!!!!

Old ppl have to be using this as a way to get what they want under certain circumstances.  For example, SD's guy obvs wanted a less crowded steam room.  The guys in the locker room probs just want the tall locker, not the short one next to it.  I mean, they realize, but they use it to get what they want, right?  Gotta be one of the only advantages to being old, other than the less expensive movie tix.

Which Wichita YMCA?  There are several...actually don't tell me cause I already know.  It is the downtown Y and there are old balls hanging our everywhere in that place.  There is even a hottub in the locker room where all the old balls get naked and stew their old balls together.

There's about 6 Ys here and I'd have guessed it was the OG downtown one I go to except that wouldn't have cleared the place out.  If anything, the stretcher would've gotten some high fives from the other OBs.

Nice.  The "about jeff" section is amazing.

"After hearing Jeff's musical tributes to Elvis Presley, many music industry professionals
