Title: Glad we cut ties with these terrible human beings.*

We're the cleanest program in the country, and among the bluest of the blue bloods.  We don't need to get caught up with a thug like Curtis Malone.

Deadspin is BITB for one liners in sports articles.  ESPN calls it an "altercation". Deadspin just says "some crap went down".

Per @Willsommer's report, DC Assault's Curtis Malone was found with a kilo of cocaine, 100 grams of suspected heroin and a handgun.

Hopefully the guy who takes his place stops the Assault from hating KSU.

proves he wasn't out selling his players to universities.  just hustling to help fund his youth activities programs.  kind of a hero.

Wow, the target of this wrath is who got my attention:

DePollar claims that the assault continued after he balled up on the ground in a fetal position. DePollar told police it lasted about 90 seconds and "I wondered when it would end. .?.?. It seemed much longer. I feared for my family and myself."

What kind of FP acts like that when being confronted?  You've got to act like a man to be a man.

Most teams sell cookies, popcorn, or some here in downtown KC sell flowers in the medians to fund equipment and tourny fees.

Selling coke and heroin to do the same is some next level crap.  No wonder Assault has been a good program to pull kids from.

Not surprisingly, we weren't given the metric weight of the handgun.  Pretty pud reporting

I wonder if anyone who posts on this board has ever engaged in casual to mid-level flirtations with Curtis and his crew over the price to secure recruits?  :dunno:

So, everyone knew that he used to sell the drugs.  Why is everyone so upset now?

Malone, it seemed, had come a long way since 1991, when he was convicted for distributing crack cocaine.

That part is so oddly placed in the article, and not in chronological order either.

His arguments for leniency Wednesday hinged on more than 30 letters of support, including ones written by West Virginia men’s basketball Coach Bob Huggins, Drexel men’s basketball Coach Bruiser Flint, DeMatha High Coach Mike Jones, D.C. Assault alumni and parents and current Washington area high school basketball players.

Quote
Dalonte Hill, a former assistant coach for the Maryland men’s basketball team and one of several former D.C. Assault players and coaches who attended Wednesday’s hearing, also indicated some of the financial strain upon Malone came as a result of a lawsuit Beasley filed against Malone and NBA agent Joel Bell in Montgomery County Circuit Court in 2011.

“He was just trying to keep his head above water,” Hill said of Malone.

Maybe of Jamar hadn't been hounding him to wire Jamar money to the Dillons all the time, he would have been able to stay on the right side of the law.
